High school juniors Elliot “Elly” Samuels and Rin Hamada are the definition of best friends. They grew up together, were middle school nerds together, and had massive glow ups together. But they never needed relationships. Elly would bat the girls off with a stick if he had to because he and Rin agreed, life was easier without them.

But when his best friend’s new fling gets serious, their perfect friendship is put in danger. So Elly’s left with no choice. He hatches a plan to have the two love birds split up, restoring peace to Rin’s life.

The only problem? As Elly’s plan starts to work, he realizes that his feelings are more complicated than he thought. It’s hard to call someone your best friend when you start lusting after them. And now, Elly just wants Rin all to himself.
