Chapter 40
Eli’s pov
I walked up the front steps of Kaylas house and knocked.
“Hey.” She smiled as she opened the door.
“I have a lot to tell you.” I sighed and walked in casually.
“Tell me everything.” She said eagerly fallowing me and we both plopped down on her couch.
“Well I uh, I told my dad I was gay.” I started out boldly, the words and felt a bit weird, they were unfamiliar. But they filled me with so much self pride.
“Oh my god really?!” She exclaimed happily and attacked me with a hug. I laughed and hugged her back.
“Wait, wait how did he react?” She retreated back anxiously.
“Surprisingly, he took it well.” I replied smiling.
“Awe, I’m so proud of you!” She praised and hugged me again.
I blushed and smiled. I was proud of me too.
“And then…” I sighed happily remembering that I had gotten Carter back, “then I met up with Carter and were back together.” I said smiling.
She smiled but something was.. off.
“What..?” I was confused. Why wasn’t she happy for me?
“It’s nothing, it’s just… Carter deserves someone who isn’t ashamed of who they are.” She said bluntly looking in my eyes.
“I know,” I nodded, “And he is. I have a plan, but I kinda need your help with it.” I said and a small grin broke out into her lips.
“What do you want me to do?” She asked.
Chapter 40
Carters pov
“How can we trust him after what he did?!” My dads accusing voice filled the room giving me a headache.
“We don’t have to do anything, I do!” I shot back. He didn’t believe Eli was good for me after what he did.
“Dad he made a mistake, but he loves me.” I said softly.
He looked at me doubtfully.
“And do you love him?” He asked. I blushed and looked down, but didn’t hesitate.
“Yes. I do.” I nodded looking back up.
I loved him more then anything.
