Chapter 5:

Andrew’s P.O.V
“Andrew? Helloooo? Are you there?” I snapped out of my thoughts to find Angela and her cleavage in my face. I turned red and scooched back. She giggled then placed herself comfortably on my lap. “What were you thinking about?”
“Um, school stuff.” I managed a smile. What was I thinking about? Jacob, of course. She pulled my face to hers and kissed me.
“You are a terrible liar.” I chuckled because it was true. “Now tell me what’s wrong.”
“Okay… well I’m worried about Jacob.”
“The fa- friend?” I raised my eyebrow. Was she about to say? No, I don’t think she’s a homophobe. Nah, she is to nice for that. I pushed away my suspicions and nodded. “What about him?”
“Well he’s been very distant… and sensitive. I know he’s hiding something from me but he won’t tell me what.” I sighed and she put a hand on my back and rubbed little circles.
“He’ll come around. Until then give him some space and relax more… with me.” She winked then fixed herself so that she was on my lap and facing me. Her glossed lips crashed down on mine and her tongue almost immediately asked for entrance into my mouth.
Our tongues fought for dominance. I clearly had the upper hand and as I took control she let out a little seductive moan. I had my hands placed firmly on her hips and her arms around my neck. She was putting more force into the kiss, making it full of lust and desperation.
I enjoyed it of course, but I didn’t feel right. Afraid to go further into something I’d regret, I slowly pulled away. She made a cute little sound that sounded like a puppy who you’d tease with chew toy.
She pouted her lips, clearly trying to convince me to continue but eventually she realized that I wasn’t going to.
“We don’t need to rush things Angela.”
“Fine. Wanna watch a movie?”
“Sure, X-Men 2?” She nodded so I went and put the movie.
We spent the rest of the night snuggling under a blanket. An hour later Angela had fallen asleep so I carried her to her bed, kissed her softly on her forehead and quietly left her dorm.
The girls dorm was kind of far from the boys dorm. It was dark and the night was warm with a cool breeze every once in a while. I zipped up my jacket completely to keep from getting cold.
I checked my phone as I entered the dorm building. It was 11:05 so Jacob was probably asleep. I wondered what he did all day.
I reached my dorm and I was about to open it but I heard talking. I gently pressed my ear against it to listen better.
“…He cares about her more than me… and we’ve been together since we were little kids.”
“Then he clearly doesn’t appreciate you.”
“No it’s not that, …But whatever, I have you now.”
I pushed the door opened and saw Jacob laying back on Glen who happily had his arm around him. I’m sorry, did I miss something?
“What’s going on?” I folded my arm and raised an eyebrow.
“Nothing, just talking.”
“I should go…” Glen got off the bed then kissed Jacob on the cheek. “…See ya Jake.” He walked out of the door, but not before looking at me. He slightly shook his head then left the room, closing the door behind him. I looked at the door then at Jacob.
“So what really went on when I wasn’t here?”
“We really were just talking.”
“And him kissing you on the cheek?”
“A gesture.” He let out a tired yawn which made him look like a tired puppy. I make a lot of puppy references, I just really like puppies. “Well, I don’t know about you but I’m going to bed. Night.”
“Jacob… We’re okay, right?” He looked at me sympathetically, then walked over to me and gave me a big hug. I happily returned it.
“Yeah, don’t worry.” He pulled back and smiled at me.
“I’m glad. I love you, Jake, don’t forget that.”
“Love you too, and I won’t.” He went straight to bed while I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Could he have been talking about me? Is that what he thinks? And why was he so comfortable with Glen? We used to be like that but that was because we were close. He hardly knows Glen. I sighed, turned off the light and walked over to my bed. I turned off my table lamp and fell asleep.
Jacob’s P.O.V
*A few weeks later*
These weeks that I’ve been dating Glen have been amazing. I’ve never felt so happy in a relationship like in this one. First off, he is an amazing kisser. Second, he not only is an awesome boyfriend but an amazing friend. And last he is so sweet.
It was the weekend again. (I hate school so that explains the lack of classes xD) Glen and I have decided to just chill in my dorm. First we went to visit Emily and Axel in the weekend Cafe.
I was holding Glen’s hand, all couple like. I wasn’t afraid of being seen because many students are too lazy to make an effort to wake up on the weekend. But as I walked in, my gaze caught Andrew and I immediately let go of Glen’s hand. We stopped walking and Glen faced me.
“What’s wrong babe?” He asked looking worried. I didn’t respond, just kept my sight on Andrew. Glen looked in his direction and frowned. “Oh… we have to hide it, don’t we?”
“Yeah… sorry.” His frown became a smile again.
“It’s alright babe.” He came closer to my ear and whispered, “we have your room to ourselves tonight.” He pulled back and winked. I giggled and began to walk towards the table as Glen followed behind. When I reached the table, all eight eyes were on me and Glen.
“Hey guys,” said Emily and Axel at the same time. Glen enthusiastically waved at them like a little kid. I giggled, this boy was too cute for his own good.
“So how are all of you?” Glen gleefully asked. Everyone responded with a ‘good’. Well everyone but Andrew. He just looked at me. What’s with him? I sighed as I looked into his light blue eyes. Suddenly he averted his eyes from my stare.
“W-well, we have to go now, we’re going to a waterpark and it’s best if we go early.” He got up and entertwined his fingers with Angela’s. His gaze went back to me for a brief moment then he looked away again. “Hope you all enjoy your day.” And with that said, they walked away. For a minute it looked exactly like the dream I had.
“…Soo, you two are a couple now?” Emily asked, braking the moment of silence.
“Oh… Yeah.” I responded with a big smile. Glen scooched over and buried his head in my neck, nuzzling it.
“Aww, you two are so cute together!” Surprisingly, the comment came from Axel. Even Emily was surprised, and usually nothing he does surprises her.
“Thanks.” We both responded and smiled. Later Glen offered to buy me breakfast from the cafe but we ended up sharing anyways. When we were done, we said bye to Axel and Emily, and left the cafe. Today, since it was a really nice day, we’ve decided to go to a park that was not too far from the campus.
As we were walking down the street, Glen entertwined our fingers and pulled me closer to him. He was warm, a comforting warm. Just like Andrew. I remember how me and Andrew used to wrestle but we would end up hugging. Damnit, Jacob stop that! You and Andrew are only friends, and you should get over it.
I hadn’t realized that we arrived at the park until a wave of, fresh pine mixed with crisp rain, entered my nose. I pushed my thoughts away and focused on the beautiful park in front of me. It was really big, I can understand why. It had a big playground and also a wide open field. The entrance had pavement that eventually diminished when it reached a certain point in the path, and had a vine arch at the very beginning.
Glen and I looked at each other for a minute then immediately ran to the playground like a bunch of 10 year olds. Glen went to the jungle gym and I went to the slides. When we were done, we met up at the swings, laughing our butts off. Not many people were in the park, or at least in this area of it. We decided that we ran around too much so we were just going to sit there.
There was a long moment of silence because I was deep in thought and Glen kindly waited. Until he finally broke the silence.
“Um, Jacob… You’re still thinking about Andrew, right?” I hesitated but nodded.
“Oh…” He gave me a slightly sad and dissappointed expression, then looked down at his feet and gently kicked the ground, making the swing rock back and forth.
It hurt him to know that I spend so much of my time thinking about Andrew but why did he put up with it? How could he put up with it?
I got off of my swing and I don’t think he noticed until I wrapped my arms around him from behind. I laid my face on his back and whispered, “I’m sorry… So, so so sorry.”
He quietly responded back, “…It’s alright.” He gave me a smile to hide the hurt in his expression but he couldn’t hide the hurt in his voice. “Let’s go get some ice cream, okay?” I let go as he got up.
“Okay.” I smiled and we walked to the nearest ice cream parlor. After ice cream and a walk back to campus, me and Glen were exhausted so we plopped onto my bed.
“Today was fun.” Glen smiled.
“…Yeah.” I forced a smile, it was difficult, especially with what’s been on my mind lately. “Give me a moment, I’ll be in the bathroom.” I got up and headed toward the bathroom, when I felt a had take hold of my arm and aggressively turn me, then push me back against the wall.
I felt Glen’s lips crash down on mine. Passionately, aggressively and with so much emotion that it was indescribable.
One of his hands came up to my neck and began to playfully tug at my hair, causing small moans to escape. His other hand was at my hip, playing with the hem of my shirt and occassionally slipping under my shirt. I hesitated a little. He removed his lips from mine and moved it next to my ear.
“Loosen up babe.” He whispered then once again his lips were on mine. He leans in more, removing any space between our bodies. My tongue slides into his mouth as if on command, and our tongues dance gracefully in sync.
I now have my hands firmly on his hips. He gently grinds on me, turning me on and teasing me. He then removed his lips from mine and I let out a slight groan. But that was not the end of it, clearly. He then brought his lips to my neck and kissed it, multiple times and in multiple places. He would mutter sweet things in between kisses.
I was too aroused to follow anything he said, except for one thing that sparked my attention. A faint, almost silent, ‘I love you’, escaped Glen’s sexy lips. I wasn’t sure, but good thing because I don’t know how I’d react if I was sure.
I removed my hand from his hip and moved it to his cheek. He stopped kissing my neck and looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes of his. I kissed him on the lips, not aggressively but gently, with tenderness. It was what I would consider as a ‘apology’ kiss, because I, theoretically speaking, threw in there sweet and caring emotions.
“Glen…”
“Hm?”
“Let’s stop hiding ‘Us’.” When those words escaped my lips, his mouth just hung open.
