Jacob’s POV
Shawn and I are currently making our way to the Halloween fair and this is something I currently have mixed feelings about. Let’s just say, I don’t really enjoy getting scared that much so this is going to be fun.
“Jacob! You are walking so slow!” Shawn said, pulling me out of my thoughts, and I just did a small laugh, and continued at my pace. He let out a frustrated sigh before grabbing my hand and started to pull me, and I was not expecting that so I was stumbling as he pulled me.
I was trying to regain my balance because he continued to pull me so I had no idea where we were until he stopped, and then I realized I was falling.
But before I could hit the ground, I felt arms wrap around my waist, and I was hoisted back up onto my feet.
“I saved you there Jacob, you basically owe me your life.” Shawn said smiling.
“Wow, you’re my knight in shining armor.” I said with a fake princess sounding voice, which caused him to laugh at me.
“Well Jacob, lets get started!” Shawn said dragging me towards the lady at the booth to the haunted maze.
“So, two for the lovely couple?” The lady said smiling, and I looked at her confused, until I looked down to Shawn and I’s hand that is somehow intertwined.
“O-oh no! We’re just friends! Good friends! The best of friends!” I stuttered out, blushing and releasing his hand, as Shawn and the girl laughed at my reaction.
“Yeah, two tickets for me and my boyfriend.” Shawn said, putting emphasis on boyfriend.
“Boyfriend and I.” I mumbled out correcting him, which caused the girl to laugh once again.
“Okay okay, head on in.” The girl said, motioning us to enter the maze.
“Let’s go!” Shawn said excitedly entering the maze, grabbing my wrist and dragging me once again to enter.
When I enter, all I see are flashing lights, and I immediately want to leave.
“Shawn, have I mentioned I hate you for doing this to me?” I said, looking around to see if anything has a chance of killing me.
“Not yet,” Shawn started, but before he could continue talking, a person with a scary looking mask and a knife jumps out, screaming.
I yelped and jumped, pushing Shawn forward, looking back to make sure I couldn’t see him and stopped.
“I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, I hate this.” I repeated multiple times, and Shawn just laughed. But the happiness didn’t last for long because a loud thunder sound effect went off, startling me. I jumped, before grabbing onto Shawn, hoping he would protect me from all these bad, evil, and cruel things.
“I’m here don’t worry.” Shawn said, walking, and I slowly started to release myself from him, but before I could do so, another person jumped out screaming, and startling me once again, and I jumped running ahead a bit.
“I hate this!” I yelled as I ran forward, but stopping because I couldn’t see Shawn when I turned around. “Shawn! Where are you!” I said looking around, but all I could see were the flashing lights.
All of a sudden, I felt a hand wrap around my shoulder, and I turned around about to yell for Shawn, until I realized it was him, and I immediately hugged him, and pulled away quickly.
“Can we just hurry this up, I’m kind of dying right now.” I said, and he just laughed at me.
“Sure thing.” He answered as he continued walking, as if nothing here is fazing him.
I caught up to him, holding onto his wrist, but once again, someone decided to scare us and you could guess how it turned out.
I screamed, and Shawn laughed, putting his arm over me, protecting me. I pulled away, and grabbed Shawn’s hand, and he intertwined our fingers.
“Don’t you dare let go Shawn. This isn’t Titanic.”

“I hated every single moment of that.” I said as Shawn and I exited the maze.
“Well, I enjoyed it.” Shawn said, as we continued walking hand in hand to the food court, where Michele, Jenna, Shawn, and I all decided to meet up.
“Oh my god Shawn!” Said a girl’s voice, and Shawn and I turned around to see two girls running towards us.
“We are really big fans of yours, and I was wondering if we could get a photo!” The girl asked, and it made me smile knowing that if I ever saw Shawn, I would probably be doing the same thing if we weren’t friends.
“Sure thing!” Shawn responded, removing his hand from mine and going towards the girls and taking selfies which each of them individually and then both of them in one. But, I decided to be the bigger person for once and offer to take a photo.
“Hey, do you guys want me to take a photo with you both?” I asked walking towards them.
“That would be awesome, thanks so much!” one of them said, handing me their phone, “I’m Sarah by the way.”
“I’m Madison, but people just call me Maddy, nice to meet you!” The girl called Maddy told me.
“I’m Jacob, Jacob Brentwood.” I said.
I take photos of them individually with Shawn, but Maddy walked up to me while I was taking a photo.
“Hey, what’s your Twitter?” She asked me, and I responded saying my Twitter.
They took photos, thanked us and left, and Shawn and I were back to heading to the food court.
“Damn, my child is so popular.” I said, pinching his cheeks teasingly.
“There you guys are!” I heard Michele say, Shawn and I turned around and we saw Michele and Jenna walking towards us.
“So, how was the maze.” Jenna asked, and Shawn immediately responded.
“It was great! Jacob was holding my hand through the whole thing.” Shawn said, trying to embarrass me, but little did he know, I will gladly say that I held Shawn Mendes’s hand with pride.
“That is very true, I did hold your hand through the whole thing, but it assures me that if we were stuck in an actual maze with killers, you would be there to support me.”

We stayed for about 30 more minutes, before deciding to head home. At the moment, we are all at my house.
We are on the floor in my room, watching TV, talking, and using our phones. I haven’t had such an action packed day in awhile. A few moments later, Michele yawned and then stood up from her spot.
“Okay guys, I think Jenna and I will head home. It’s been a real long day, but thanks for hanging out today.” Michele explained smiling at us. Jenna then stood up and said and walking towards Shawn and I.
“Bye Jacob, thanks so much for today, it was fun.” She said, hugging me. I still somewhat don’t like her, but she’s too sweet for me to hate.
“No problem, thanks for coming!”
She then hugged Shawn and then followed Michele to her car.
“Hey Jacob, I think I left something in your car, could you come with me to grab it real fast?” Michele asked and I nodded, “Great, Jenna, here’s the keys, wait inside my car and I’ll be out there in a second.”
She grabbed the keys from Michele’s hand and Michele and I walked to the garage to grab what she left.
“Okay, I didn’t actually leave anything in here except my water that I probably will throw away when I get home.” Michele stated, which confused me.
“Then why am I here?”
“Because I need to talk to you.” She said, I was still confused but continued to listen.
“So first off, the guy who ran into me was cute, and his name is Luke, and I got his number!” She said all giddy.
“Did you text him yet? Did he text you?” I asked, really happy for her. She hasn’t been in a relationship in awhile, so I’m happy that she’s able to find someone that seems nice for her. I’m not sure if I approve him yet but we’ll see.
“Yeah, but that’s not the important thing I needed to tell you,” That line confused me even more, but I motioned her for her to go on, “did anything happen in the maze between you and Shawn? Because he kept looking at you with basically heart eyes.” She explained and I just furrowed my brows at her.
“No? We just held hands because I was scared and that’s about it,” I said truthfully, “it could’ve been the lighting, the lights they used were like romantic restaurant lighting.”
“I mean that could be right, but let’s say if he were to ask you out, would you say yes?” She asked.
“I would say, why are we still talking about this?”
She laughed at my remark, but continued to talk.
“I don’t know Jacob, it’s just something to think about.”

Guys! It’s been a month! I’m so sorry for the really long and overdue wait, but throughout this month, school was becoming even more stressful because it was close to the end of the semester. Then, finals week came and I was drowning in all of my studying and felt overwhelmed and maybe have forgotten about this, but it’s finally winter break!
But on the bright side, I did *decent* on all my finals, only getting a 70% on my AP one, but I kept my 4.0 this semester!
Other updates about my life, me and my friend are going to see Shawn Mendes in 2017! The concert is on July 14th, in San Diego! So, if you plan on going that day, please let me know! I would love to meet some of my readers!
Anyways, hopefully I’m able to update at least one more time while I’m on break, so look forward to that! I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas, or whatever holiday you celebrated, and I also hope you have an amazing New Years!
