The last three years has flown over and I am half way through the first term of my final year of college, the most important one yet and I am so very nervous about how this will all end. Domingo and I are still as inseparable as ever and Lucas is still as miserable, there is literally no budging him on the subject he just point blank refuses to tell us what is wrong with him.
I am seriously considering forcing him into some kind of therapy, I know the school offers free sessions to help deal with stress and adjustments but this has been going on for three years now. I can’t understand what could possibly be so wrong with him, he should have adjusted by now to college and being away from home. He has had a couple of short flings so he has clearly moved on from whoever he was talking about that night in the dorm rooms, they never seem to last long but at least he is dating. I am constantly worried about him and Domingo is too but he won’t tell us anything so there is nothing that we can do but to be there for him like we always have been.
The good thing about the final year of college was that we were all finally twenty one so we could now enjoy drinking legally. We were all planning a trip away for spring break to go out with a bang, one last week of partying before the hard work begins and exams start. We were going back to Vegas to do it properly this time, now that we were old enough to hit the casino’s and sample the constant flow of free alcohol.
I was hoping with the prospect of all of this fun ahead of him Lucas will snap out of it at least for the week and just enjoy himself, Dom and I really wanted our friend back and we hoped this would be the answer. Spring break was in a few weeks and until then I needed to start the horrible process of revision, Midterms were two weeks after so I needed to start now so that my work didn’t suffer because of the week off.
I was so close to my dream of becoming a doctor that I could taste it, and although I wanted spring break to be fun I wouldn’t let it ruin my chances of passing these exams. So I was spending all of my free time in the library, it seems like this is the only part of Stanford that I have been to. Through the years I have been to the lunch hall, the dorms and the library and that’s about it. I have obviously had some fun over the years I am not that tedious but parties usually happen in the dorms so I literally have been to three places in the whole of campus.
On my way back to the dorms after a six hour revision session, I bumped into Lucas who was heading the same way. He didn’t look good, he had lost weight and frequently had bags under his eyes I can’t lie I was beginning to get increasingly worried about him and I think Dom and I would have to start and inter’friend’tion.
“Hey mate when was the last time you ate something?” I asked.
“Don’t start please Charlie.” He mumbled.
“I won’t start if you come and get something to eat with me?” I tried.
“Ok fine.” He agreed making my head snap up in shock.
“You will?” I asked surprised still.
“Yes come on but remember you promised.” He smiled a rare treat.
“Ok cool let’s go.” I smiled back.
We walked in silence to the food hall and grabbed a tray and walked to the line, I grabbed some nachos and Lucas grabbed a burrito then we sat at a table at the back where it was less crowded. We ate in silence too and I was waiting for Lucas to start a conversation that was appropriate because I had promised and I didn’t want to break it by asking what was wrong with him. I looked up and he must have felt me looking because his tired looking eyes met mine and I couldn’t help the sympathy that I was feeling and probably showing him.
“I am ok you know Charlie, I guess I just can’t wait to get out of here and get home. College just hasn’t been that great for me you know, I guess it’s just not for everyone.” He tried to smile.
“I don’t think that its college though Lucas but I understand if you don’t want to talk about it, I promised so I won’t go on but I just wish you would trust me and Domingo enough to talk about it with us.” I smiled sadly.
“It isn’t about trust, I am just trying to get over something that’s all. Something that I was never allowed to have its just taking a little longer and a bit more out of me than I thought it would.” He wasn’t smiling now.
“Ok well do you want to talk about what you can’t have?” I asked.
“No not really there is no point, it was over before it even began so really let’s just drop it. I will try harder I promise.” He mumbled.
“Ok just promise me you will eat ok, you look like shit and I mean that in the nicest way because I love you bro.” I said patting his arm.
“Ok I promise.” He agreed.
“So you ready for spring break, you’re going to try and cheer up a bit at least for that right? I mean we have been planning this for a while now and were finally twenty one dude!” I laughed.
“Yeah it’s going to be classic!” He said pleased at the change in subject.
We spent the rest of the afternoon talking about what we were going to do, around four pm Domingo called to ask where we were as his class was finished and he wanted to join us. We decided to go to a bar and leave revision for the rest of the night, so Lucas and I walked to the dorm to get changed and met Dom there. Once showered and changed we head to the nearest bar where I got the first round of beers in, Lucas and Dom had started a game of pool and I watched as they played.
The night was so good, we drank and played pool for several hours and by one am we were quite drunk. It seemed to be just what Lucas needed as I hadn’t seen him like this since the last time we had a sleep over at my house and that was years ago. Maybe spring break would be fun after all, we just needed to keep him occupied and he would go back to the old Lucas even if it was just for a few hours.
Spring break came around pretty quickly and we all jumped into Lucas’ car and drove straight off to Las Vegas without looking back once. College campus was dead on spring break hardly anyone hung around to revise or anything like that, it was party time and everyone got involved in something. The drive to Vegas was long and very hot, even though we had the windows down the whole way I was still sweating profusely by the time we got there. Dom and I took turns with Lucas driving and sitting up front, we had Foo fighters blasting through the speakers and we laughed and carried on the whole way.
We pulled up at our hotel, we had booked to stop at the Hard Rock for the week because it had a good reputation for the awesome pool party it threw and also the live music it played every night. Once we had checked in we went to dump our stuff in the room, we had been driving for nearly eight hours so we were too tired to do much tonight. We decided to just shower and go listen to the band that was playing and have a few drinks then start the hard core drinking session tomorrow.
Dom and I let Lucas use the shower first as he didn’t take as long as us so it was only fair, we hadn’t really had much alone time recently because we had been concentrating on keeping Lucas cheerful. I was desperate for him but Lucas was more important right now and I was happy with the results of our hard work so far. His black puffy eyes had gone, he had put a little bit of weight back on and his skin had lost its peaky colour and was back to being a golden caramel colour.
He left the room with a big white fluffy towel and his wash bag, moments later we could hear him humming something in the shower. There was two huge king size beds in the room, Lucas will be taking one and Dom and I would be sharing the other. I went over and sat on the edge of our bed and Domingo followed me, I smiled at him and he leaned in and kissed me. I didn’t waste time and instantly opened my mouth to let him in, his tongue probed my mouth and I returned the favour.
As we kissed I ran my hand through his hair and knowing he loves this I wasn’t surprised when he began to moan into the kiss. I used my other hand to roam over his toned body, he was in no way ripped but because of the sports that he plays he is still rock solid and I loved his body. We were interrupted by a small cough and when we broke apart Lucas was standing in the doorway to the bathroom clearing his throat.
“Oh sorry Lucas.” I said.
“Yeah sorry.” Dom said sheepishly.
“It’s ok calm down your allowed to kiss you know.” He chuckled.
“Yeah but we don’t want you to feel left out.” I replied.
“Yeah wanna snog?” Dom laughed.
“Fuck off.” Lucas was laughing now.
I laughed along with them then Lucas moved out of the bathroom, I grabbed a towel and my wash bag and went in the shower. Ten minutes later I walked back out into the room to find Dom alone on our bed, no sign of Lucas anywhere.
“Where is he?” I asked.
“He said he was going to go and get us a good table for tonight so we can see the band properly, but I think it was his gift to us. He is giving us some time alone but I don’t want to take the piss and leave him all night so get your fine ass over here quick.” He chuckled.
I didn’t hesitate, I had been dying for this for nearly two weeks. I stripped him of his clothing and he was already semi hard, so I dropped my towel as he moved further up the bed and lay down. I grabbed him between my hand and began to pump him to get him harder, once he was sufficiently erect I didn’t hesitate and I began to ride him.
It was amazing, halfway through he flipped us so that I was lying underneath him and he sped up his movements. I could tell he was close and so was I moments later I came all over myself and I could feel him filling me up, I looked down at him panting but smiling and he looked back to me and propped himself up so he could kiss me. I kissed him for a few moments then reluctantly climbed off him, I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the bathroom so we could shower together.
I stepped under the water and I kissed him again, I couldn’t get enough of his kisses as his lips would plump up after a few moments and I couldn’t help but bite on them.
“I needed that so badly, I missed you babes.” I kissed him again.
“Yeah me too, that was worth the wait though it was amazing.” He replied.
I grabbed my body wash and began to wash him down, and he copied me wiping away the come from my chest. Once we were clean we jumped out and quickly dressed realising that Lucas had been along now for around forty five minutes. We grabbed our wallets and the hotel key card then we made our way down to the bar to find Lucas sitting at a really good table. Domingo went to the bar while I went over to sit with Lucas, I gave him a nod in thanks and he returned it with a knowing smile.
When Dom returned with the drinks, the band walked in and began to set up. I was looking forward to this, I had never heard of the band but I was a lover of live music, so I grabbed my beer and began to drink as I waited in anticipation. I finished my drink quite quickly so I jumped up and went back to the bar to get another round in, I also bought two shots of tequila each and took it back to the table.
Dom groaned but Lucas’ face lit up when they noticed the shots. I licked my hand and poured some salt on it and the boys followed suit, then I necked my shots wincing slightly as the harsh liquid hit my throat. I then popped a large slice of lime in my mouth and sucked on it to calm the taste of the tequila in my mouth, once I had sucked the lime the taste changed and it was actually rather pleasant.
The band turned out to be brilliant and the music on fuelled the need to get drunk, so we took turns to buy round after round at the bar and before long we were rolling about. When Dom was unbelievably drunk Lucas and I supported him and took him back up into the room, then Lucas went into the bathroom to brush his teeth while I stripped Dom down and put him into bed.
When Lucas emerged from the bathroom I quickly went to relieve myself and brush my own teeth then I stripped down to my boxers and climbed in bed beside Dom. I wished Lucas a goodnight then I turned off the bedside lamp and lay down, Dom as usual moved towards me and wrapped his arms around my waist and within moments I could hear his gentle snoring. I shuffled closer to him and before long I was falling asleep to the sound of both Lucas and Dom’s snoring.
