“Father.” The fifteen year old boy called out nervously, voice low barely above whisper.

“Yes, son.” The smile on his father’s face turned in to concern as soon as their eyes met. “Had something happened? Are you well?” He asked.

“I- I have a request.” the boy murmured. He knew that, what he was about to say was hardly appropriate. Yet he should speak, this was his dream, after all.

“Speak your mind.” His father encouraged.

“I- I wish to be a dancer.” The fifteen year old confessed, closing his eyes tightly, unwilling to witness his father’s disappointment.

When he opened them again, he found his father gazing at him, expressionless.

He can say, the older male is not angry, nor he is pleased. He seemed deep in thought.

His father had rarely denied him anything. But for this, he feared his father might not agree.

It wasn’t that dancing was forbidden. Indeed, many were known to dance, and even the children of noble families were permitted to do so.

But the issue is, his father is a priest, one of the high priest. Usually children of priests won’t attend dance school. It’s an unspoken rule in the society. It’s improper to do so. And not only he himself, but also his father will be ashamed with his decision.

“Do you truly desire this?” His father asked atlast.

“Yes, father. It’s my dream.” the boy looked up at him with pleading eyes.

“Then, you may pursue it. You have my blessing.” His father replied with a kind smile.

The fifteen year old’s eyes widened in disbelief. His father had agreed.
“Really? Thank you, Father. Thank you so much” he exclaimed, hugging him tightly as his father laughed at his enthusiasm.

But after a moment, his joy was dimmed by a thought. “Are you certain father? What if they spoke ill of you?” he asked as they pulled away.

“It does not matter.” his father replied kindly, though a shadow of sadness lingered in his eyes. “If my son finds happiness, that is enough.”

“But it matters to me.” the boy responded. After a moment of thought, he offered a solution, his face lighting up. “I shall keep our connection secret. Let them not know I am your son. In that way, you won’t be criticized, and I can pursue my dream.”

“There is no need for that.” his father said, feeling sad for his son.

“But I wish to. I shall not be the cause for you to bow your head before others.” the smaller declared with firm voice. Anyway most of the people doesn’t know the younger son of the priest, who was introverted. They only know the elder son, who is preparing for become a priest.

“Then do as you find appropriate.” his father agreed, a gentle smile gracing his face.

The boy nodded determined, to protect his father’s reputation and his dream.

Jimin watched trees going behind as the car sped up towards their destination.

The ‘Idols Escape’ director asked them to get to the mansion directly, cause they were already late. The place, where the shooting is supposed to go is in the middle of a mini forest.

The path towards the mansion was filled with different kind of big trees, which gave the place a cinematic effect. It was beautiful and lively, even though the place is a little bit secluded and away from the city.

As they approached their destination, Jimin felt some kind of familiarity in that place, but he shrug it off thinking it must be from some historical drama he had seen before.

But as soon as the car stopped in front of a big building, Jimin froze.

It was a big ancient palace surrounded by big trees. It’s ivory walls glowed even in the dark of night, the door carved with the royal symbols was eye catching, along with walls which were painted dragon, kitsune and other mythical creatures. The corners of the tiled roof, curved upwards giving that korean ancient aura, which nowadays only can see on movies and dramas.

But for Jimin, it wasn’t first time he is seeing this palace. Even though he had never seen this place in real, he felt like he is really familiar with this ancient palace.

It was the same palace he had been seeing in his dream, ever since he turned twenty one, as if this palace is calling for him.

“Jiminie?” Bora looked at him questioningly when he didn’t get out of the car. “Is everything okay?” She asked standing outside.

Jimin nodded before sighing heavily.

Maybe he had seen this palace somewhere, and he is thinking too much. Even though the six silhouettes in his dream came to his mind, he ignored it.

It’s night, he had been traveling and is tired. So he must be hallucinating.

With that he opened the door and walked out of the cab.

Dragging his suitcase Jimin walked in to the big palace stood proudly in front of him, Bora following behind with her own luggage.

Just when Jimin placed his foot in the palace, a cold gentle breeze hit him, as if it is welcoming him. Jimin felt like he is in horror movie or something.

“You are okay, right?” Bora asked. Seeing him looking at her confusingly she continued. “You look pale.”

“Just tired.” Jimin tried to reassure her.

“I already talked to the director. He said every guests are already arrived and all of them were tired and went to rest. You go to your room and rest. We can talk about the things tomorrow.” She patted his back. Jimin nodded.

“This way, Sir.” A guide come out of somewhere and ushered them towards the assigned room.

Their footsteps on the wooden floor echoed through the silent hallway as they approached where the bedrooms for guests were.

The guide show him his bedroom and passed him the key to his room. He stared at the thirteen number on the brown carved wooden door, with a hint of hesitation. Everything about this palace gave him a haunted vibe.

Jimin felt relieved, when he saw the guide give Bora the key to room next to him. At least she is with in his reach.

Giving Jimin assuring smile, the black haired women went in to her room.

Seeing her go in, he also followed the suit and opened the door and walked in to the spacious room.

It was a really big room. The beige color walls had long windows which were adorned with white curtains. In the middle there was a bed which was made neatly. One side of the wall was full with the wooden closet, which also had carved designs on them.

Even though it was an ancient building the owner seemed to renovated it. There were lights and air conditioner in the room. And the mattress and the curtains were modern. Also some of the decorations too. But still they didn’t wipe off the beauty of royalty from the building. It was still looks like an ancient bedroom. And Jimin liked the atmosphere.

Glancing at the bed, Jimin wanted to ran and dive in to it. He wanted to sleep after the long trip.

But he was sweaty and dirty. He can’t sleep in this state.

So he hurriedly freshened up in the attached bathroom and did his night routine.

After getting ready for the bed, Jimin looked around once again. The room was beautiful and spacious. But what caught his attention was, it seemed so familiar, as if he had been here before. But he don’t remember staying in an ancient room before.

Breaking his thoughts, his phone dinged. Jimin smiled seeing it was a goodnight from his manager, along with an instruction to sleep early.

Typing back a quick goodnight he placed the phone beside the table.

She was right, he should sleep early. The next morning the shooting will start, after that about one or two weeks will go with shooting. So he decided to take rest for now.

Turning off the lights, Jimin wrapped himself in the blanket and dive in to the dreamland, were six silhouettes was calling for him, as usual.

A knock on the door is what made Jimin woke up that morning.

Rubbing his eyes Jimin went towards the door and opened it to find Bora standing there, holding her tablet.

“Did you slept well?” She asked as Jimin let her in to his room.

“Yeah, better than previous days.” He mumbled with his morning voice.

It was true, he slept really well that night. The dreams that have been bothering him didn’t disturb him last night. Instead, the dream he had was pretty good and joyful.

“Thought so.” Bora smiled and continued. “Go and fresh up. You have to meet Mr. Lee and other guests before starting the shooting. They will be waiting for you to have breakfast together.” She informed.

Jimin nodded and went towards bathroom to do his morning routine.

When he came out, Bora was still there waiting for him to go out for breakfast.

“Let’s gooo.” She led him out towards where the dining room was.

“Noona, isn’t it a royal palace? So it naturally hold some historical value. So why are they allowing it to use for shooting? Is it legal?” Jimin asked as they walked. The question has been bugging him, since they stepped in to the palace.

“Because, this building is still owned by family of the king. So they do whatever they want with it.” Bora shrugged indifferently.

Jimin nodded. It’s understandable. Usually ancient building like this go to government. But this building is still in the control of some individuals. They must be so powerful as they still have control over the palace.

Jimin stopped when they arrived at the dining room. The guests were already there sitting around the long wooden table and were chatting with each other. Most of them were familiar to him, as all of them were famous.

But what made his jaw drop was, when his eyes locked with his idol sitting between the guests. Baek Yejun winked at him when he saw him. Jimin couldn’t believe he will be on a show with his idol.

Other person he noticed was Han Lina. The female soloist is his rival in K pop industry. The woman had been competing with Jimin for years, even though Jimin was really not interested in it. But she saw him as enemy, anyway.

And about the other guests Jimin was not familiar with them. He knows them, but had never talked personally. But maybe with this show, he get to know them.

“Hi.” All of them around the table turned to look at Jimin, when they heard him. Putting on a professional smile he greeted all of them and sat on an empty chair.

While eating, the director, Mr. Lee give them information about today’s shooting.

The set for the shooting is the entire ground floor of the palace, except the area were the bedrooms were. And the director had warned them, not to go upstairs, cause there is where the ancient things are stored. They are only allowed to use the ground floor.

Even though, the games seemed interesting, for Jimin this old palace was more interesting. Why he dreamed of this palace? Why he can sleep better when he is in this place? Jimin wanted to know all about it.

After the meal, they have to do the introduction video of each person. One by one, director will call them and they will shoot individual videos. Only after that, they will start the episode shoot.

Mr. Lee’s assistant called them one by one to shoot.

“I feel like, I am trapped in prison.” Jimin whispered to Bora, who laughed at his words.

“Me too.” She replied, the smile never leaving her lips.

“Hello, Jimin.” Jimin looked around to find his idol, Yejun standing beside him with a kind smile.

“Hi, Sunbae.” Jimin bowed his head in respect.

“Don’t be formal, call me hyung.” Yejun smiled as he sat beside Jimin’s chair.

“You guys talk, I will be back.” Bora said sneakily winking at Jimin.

Jimin know, what she mean by that. She have been teasing him about how the fans ship him with his idol, because he looks at him with heart eyes. But Jimin never see the older that way. For him he is like an inspiration, role model. Nothing less, nothing more. But some fans really like to ship them together.

Not only him, the most of the idols had shipped with Jimin because of his friendly nature. Even Han Lina, who is his rival.

So he can’t blame them for shipping him with his idol.

Yejun was a friendly man, so they talked as they waited for their turn.

When Mr. Lee’s assistant called him, Jimin walked towards the room, where recording for introduction is going on.

As he walked towards the room, he passed the stairs for the first floor. When he near the stairs, he felt like someone is calling for him. A little whisper, but it was not his name, it was the name he always heard in his dream.

Jaeminie…”
