I do apologize for not being as active as before, you can blame Clash of Clans for that. It trully is an addicting game.
I know some of you will hate me for this…but it has to happen. Life sucks and not everything ends in a happy ending.
I STILL HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT.
25) Given – Harry
No!
I felt like my lungs stopped breathing, I choke and grasped for air.
“No!” I shouted with tears falling from my eyes as the pain continued. My heart felt like it had been ripped from my chest, like something was crushing it. But my heart still beat and I still lived.
On the other hand, Niall’s heart looked like a sponge that had been squeezed dry.
I could have prevented her from doing that. I could have ripped her apart before she even touch my Niall’s chest. But I failed. I failed my mate and I failed my children.
“Now I own this body, forever,” she spoke dropping my lover’s heart on the floor and crushed it under her foot.
I couldn’t move. The moment I stepped on the tower I immediately turned into my wolf seeing Niall, but then I slowly reverted to my powerless human self and she had easily casted a petrifying spell on my body.
I tried and tried so hard to shift but every time I did, I think I’m losing myself and my wolf instinct had started taking over me. I couldn’t let it happen, not when Niall was in front of me.
Giving the wolf inside us free reign over our body gives us ten times our normal strength, but the repercussions are great. We lose the power to distinguish between allies and enemies, and everything else were meat.
“Stepping foot in this tower was one of the biggest mistakes you two made,” she spat walking towards the three children she took from the inside of my lover. “I’ve put a spell around this tower taking away your wolf and vampire powers. Above this tower all vampires and werewolves are like mere humans, even the Eltysta vampires.”
“I’m. Going. To. Kill. You.” Liam struggled but he managed to speak.
“You can try, but I can’t promise you’ll succeed,” she laughed as she took one of the children by the leg, dangling him upside down. The child cried but she continued what she was doing.
“No!” I yelled.
I’m not going to let her touch my children. I won’t! I’ll die first.
“Stop,” I heard the voice of the woman that had brought us in this place, she stood above us floating, she looked like the red witch.
“So I see you’ve defeated Verona,” Methuselah smiled.
“How dare you… you!” The translucent woman screamed looking at my mate with his open stomach.
“I what?” Methuselah taunted.
“Exorcisamus te!” Rhiannon yelled but Methuselah only laughed.
“This body is already mine Rhiannon,” she smirked. Rhiannon’s eyes turned to Niall and I saw her face changed.
“You killed the last druid!” She cursed. “I will make you pay.”
“Oh, please,” Methuselah rolled her eyes. “All you people do is threatening me. Isn’t there anyone who can actually do something to me?”
I heard the child cry and saw that blood came from a wound caused by the woman’s nails tearing on the skin on the child’s feet.
“Oh, so excited to be sacrificed,” she asked the boy grinning.
“Remus, Sis,” I called them. “Help me if you can after this,” I told them through our mental link, not telling them of my plan to give reign to my wolf.
“I’d rather have the body burn than be defiled by you,” Rhiannon yelled and I felt a gust of wind blowing me slightly. The light of the red moon soon got covered by a huge shadow, and knew it was the beast that had turned Verona into ashes.
“A dragon,” Methuselah exclaimed with a delightful smile. “Druids are truly powerful, even the not so alive ones. But you know, witches are also powerful especially the oldest one.”
“I call upon the immortal bird, from ashes to fire.” Methuselah chanted. “Phoenix!”
And suddenly an equally strong wind came from opposite the dragon, and the air temperature immediately spiked.
“Devour that dragon!” She commanded and the two beasts fought in the sky. The phoenix soared clawing the dragon, while the beast tried to bite it. They were equally strong and destructive hitting few towers of the castle and burning a wide range of trees.
The dragon breath flame to the phoenix but the red bird’s feather was made of fire, so nothing really happened.
“I think my pet is winning,” Methuselah grinned seeing that the phoenix had been pecking on the dragon, and had successfully pinned it to the ground.
“Rhiannon,” I heard the vampire Liam yelled and my eyes turned to the druid. The body she had been wearing had fallen off her. Her original translucent body floated in the air.
“Of dear, I see your finally losing your juices,” Methuselah commented with a grin on her face looking at the fading image of the woman. Rhiannon’s lower parts were gone, she only have the part above her waste.
“Alpha, what do you mean?” I heard Remus and I felt him near, just below the tower.
“I’m doing something reckless,” I answered and just then, I let my humanity fade. I felt the hunger and the need to hunt slowly surface as I felt my body starting to shift.
A few bones cracked and mended, the spell Methuselah casted was hindering my changed, making the shift slow and painful, but it still happened. And soon, I only felt the need to kill, to hunt, to eat.
Everything in my sight was in the shade of red and the smell of something delicious hit my nose. I licked my lips turning my gaze to the meat laid before me on the table, the delicious scent of blood almost made me jump and devour it. But I turned my head somewhere else.
A few more delicious scents lingered in the air and it came from little wiggling meat near the dead body. Young’s!
They looked delicious as well, but too easy to my liking. I needed something to quench my thirst for blood and my eyes landed on it. She smelt delicious and powerful.
I roared and then leapt at the unsuspecting prey. She wasn’t paying attention to me, her eyes were pinned on two huge beasts fighting away from us so she realized it too late. Only before I snapped her neck did she realize my presence and power.
I tore her head apart from her body. I tore the flesh off her hand and chewed on them, and also the other hand. I tore her stomach opened and feasted on her innards.
I was about to dig in her chest to eat her heart when an irritating sound came from near the body. I turned my head to the source and saw the little meat of a child wiggling, crying. I saw blood near it, coming from it head and it smelled really nice.
It smelled fresher than the one I had been eating. I wanted to taste it. I slowly took a step near the little meat, licking my lips in anticipation.
Would it taste better than the woman? Of course it would. I could even imagine the tenderness of its flesh, the taste of its blood.
“Stop!” I heard a voice coming from somewhere and the pungent smell of something. I turned my head and saw something disgusting, a vampire.
I bared my teeth instinctively posing in my offensive stance. This is my food, not his. I’m going to kill him before he even tried to put his hand on my hunt.
I was about to leap on him when I was pinned by an invisible force to the floor of the castle.
“Liam,” another woman’s voice came, it came from a transparent woman floating in the air. “Hurry!”
What the hell did she do to me? Why couldn’t I move?
“I only utilized the spell Methuselah casted on you, enhancing them just a little bit.
I struggled as the vampire moved towards me taking the little wiggling meat away. But I couldn’t really pull myself up.
“No! That’s mine!” I roared but the vampire ignored me.
He moved towards the dead carcass on the table. That’s mine, all mine. He stood there on the table, his back towards me. I knew it. He was drinking their blood, the blood that was supposed to be mine to feast on.
I gathered all my strength and leapt forward knocking off the vampire away from the table. I then roared towards him before glancing at the body.
I immediately felt something, a sweet scent coming from it.
“No!” I roared. I recognized that scent. This is my mate! My mate, why , why isn’t he breathing? Why was he bleeding?
But soon I saw something on his chest. It was a fist size muscle moving, expanding and contracting. It gave off a different scent unlike my mate. His heart was beating, but it wasn’t his heart.
I turned towards the vampire and saw him unmoving on the ground.
“What did he do?”
“He gave your mate his immortal heart,” the translucent woman told me.
And I slowly remembered.
That vampire, his soul was in me. I was his reincarnation, and he was supposed to be my past life if he didn’t turn immortal and undead.
“He loved Niall so much,” I heard the woman said and I slowly felt the guilt. I turned to the children that I knew were mine feeling shameful that I had tried eating them.
“Harry,” tears started flowing from my eyes as I turned into my human form hearing that voice. I missed that sweet voice coming from my mate.
“Niall,” I spoke looking at his pale face. “I’m sorry!”
I felt my world crumble as he spoke to me in a hushed voice, looking away.
“I can never forgive you!” he spoke. || Stay tuned for more
The LAST NEXT UPDATE will be the EPILOGUE. It will expalin everything and probably tie up some lose ends. It will also open up the plot for the SEQUEL titled RED MOON. It will be a very long Epilogue, I think.
