21) Conspiracy – Niall

I tried convincing myself that the people around me wanted what’s good for me, that they were Harry’s friends. But something inside me trusted more the woman in my dream that looked like Methuselah. I didn’t know how to describe the feeling. I just knew that I somehow recognized her from somewhere.

I sneaked outside the room where I woke up. Like a ninja, I crept near walls, behind corners, and under tables to hide whenever any being came near. If Rhiannon, the woman in my dream, was right, then every being in this place were my enemies. And I need to find the exit as soon as possible.

Besides, if what they say about vampires roaming Woodbridge was right then I will need to warn my parents. I know they’re already searching for me since I hadn’t been home for days, and they might also be in danger.

They must be worried sick about me if they didn’t already call for the police to search for me. But what can the police do when these beings can fly, turn into wolves and vampires: suck blood?

I continued to walk towards the empty hallway of what seemed to be an old historical building. I could tell that the place was some kind of old castle or a church due to I’s very high ceiling and thick walls. I travelled down two spherical stairway hiding whenever I hear footsteps coming. And soon I found my way to a hall with a lot of doors.

I searched for the door peeking on every room. I opened another door when a roar made the whole place tremble. I felt my heart almost stop beating with fear of the thing that made the sound. I knew it came from a room near me.

I tiptoed walking to another chamber when my ears caught the thunderous voice again. It came from three doors to my right, at the end of the hallway.

I knew it was a bad idea. But my feet thought differently moving nearer the closed room. I could literally hear my heart beating like a drum when my hand landed on the doorknob.

“I shouldn’t be doing this,” I chide myself. “Walk away Niall. Walk away and look for the exit.” I tried convincing myself but the rational part of my mind lost to curiosity.

‘What could be making that noise?’

‘What is behind this huge wooden door?’

I pressed my ear to the towering piece of wood hoping the sound would be loud enough to be heard. And luckily, the talking from the other room passed through the door easily.

“It’s your fault that my son was cursed, Methuselah. Only the blood of the druid could change that. I want my heir to be turned back into a shifter and not some kind of bloodsucking fiend,” a man demanded. “I will need the druid’s life for it as a sacrifice.

“Now, now, Antonius Victoryn. Don’t forget that it was you who let your son be caught in the war and be cursed by the bitch druid,” I heard the voice of the king of faeries, Oberon. “If you had just put a chain on his neck on the day of the attack, he wouldn’t be like that, like his…”

“You hold your tongue, Oberon,” the powerful voice of the man named Antonius Victoryn echoed making me shudder. He sounded like a brute beast.

Oberon only chuckled. “What now? Isn’t it true that Azval Eltysta Victoryn, the only son of the Supreme Alpha is also her son? He is also an Eltysta, the son of the most powerful Vampire Heiress, Eve.”

“Oberon,” Methuselah warned but the fae king continued.

“Theirs is no harm in speaking truth Methuselah,” Oberon announced. “Isn’t that the reason that you didn’t lift a finger when the druids were massacred? You harbored feelings of resentment towards the race that put your lover to sleep and buried her kind into a castle deep underground?”

“Oberon!” Methuselah yelled and the fae king stopped. “We are not here to make war against each other. And you know you’d be in a great disadvantage if that happens.”

“Yes, Methuselah, and you kept doing a great job of always reminding me of my exile from my own kingdom, of my lac of military power, because of that bitch!”

“Rhiannon maybe just a wondering spirit now, but she is still powerful. She killed three of my celestial witches and the vampires that are under their control,” Methuselah stated. “

“That is why we have to grab the opportunity,” Methuselah continued speaking. “Tonight is the night of the red moon. Tonight we can draw the power from the druid to cast powerful spells.”

“We could finally cast a spell to trap Rhiannon’s spirit and undo the spells she casted. And we could also use the blood of the last druid to open the gates of Avalon, the kingdom they buried under the ground. We could wake the race that the druids had put to sleep, the Eltysta Vampires,” Methuselah explained.

“And we could then conquer the realm of the Fae Queen and get your kingdom back,” Methuselah said and I assumed she directed it to Oberon. “And then we can take over the human world.”

“Can all these be actually made?” the Supreme alpha bellowed.

“Tonight, with the last druid in our hand, we can do it,” Methuselah answered.

“You make it sound like you don’t have any ulterior motive when it’s you who needs the druid the most,” Oberon chuckled. “You need his blood in order to tie yourself permanently inside the body of that female druid you had been wearing. Isn’t that right old hag?”

“You’re right,” the woman answered. “I need his blood to seal my spirit completely inside Rhiannon’s immortal body.”

Who were they talking about? Who is the ‘he’?

“And I think he’s here,” the door soon opened making me lose my balance and fall to the floor. “He’d been listening to our conversation.”

“What?” A huge man with bulging muscles exclaimed. “Then he must have heard our plan!” There were only three of them in a huge empty circular room, sitting in a chair with surrounding a circular table.

“It doesn’t matter,” Methuselah told them. “He won’t get away,” she waved her hand and I felt myself stiffen like a statue. I couldn’t move my limb nor could I move my neck.

“That’s right, Niall. You’re the last druid that we were talking about,” Oberon smiled walking towards me. He traced the contours of my face. “You druids might have been a powerful race, claiming that the goddess talks to you. But that’s in the past. You’re extinction is inevitable.”

“Oberon, stop teasing him,” Methuselah said calmly but Oberon only snickered.

“His kind made me suffer for hundreds of year not being able to go home because of the spell Rhiannon casted on me.  So I will enjoy every moment of tormenting this one, especially when we take the three little children inside his womb and sacrifice them for the spell.”

“What are you talking about?” I asked as I knew he was talking gibberish. Children, what children?

“He is pregnant?” Antonius sounded surprised.

‘What? I am pregnant? Was that a joke?’

“A druid doesn’t have a fixed sexuality Antonius, you should know that,” Oberon told the bulky man while glaring at my stomach. “And anyone of them could get pregnant as long as they accepted the seed that their lovers planted inside them. And lucky for us, we have three children with druid blood inside him, enough to cast powerful spells.”

I still don’t get what they were saying.

But the things that they said made me shudder. If what they were saying were true, then I’m carrying three children.  That should be impossible. But with the things I saw with my own two eyes these recent days, nothing would seem to be impossible.

Antonius walked towards me and slapped his hand on my stomach. Then I saw his face changed. I don’t what it meant but I could see anger ranging on his eyes, they only flashed for a few seconds before they vanished.

“One of them is far too older than the other two?” He murmured which doesn’t make since. If I were pregnant and if there were three of them, surely they are of the same age, right?

“One was conceived during the war,” Oberon answered. “I had heard of it from my servant Puck. Before Rhiannon cursed the land that watched the druid’s end, he witnessed my wife Titania cradling a druid’s body, Quill, the seer.”

“She later realized the druid had died but the child on his womb was fighting for life. So she did what had to be done to save the druids. She took the child and attached it to slumber inside the body of her changeling, Louis, who was healed by Rhiannon when he was dying. She succeeded in saving the child and when the time comes, Louis would transfer the child back into a worthy host. And they were successful in doing so.”

“Enough,” the Alpha said. “I just want to make sure my son could be turned back from being a vampire. I don’t care about Avalon and anything else. I just want my heir back.”

“Then it shall be, tonight,” Methuselah grinned looking Antonius suspiciously while the Alpha marched outside the room.

“Now, see you tonight darling,” Methuselah walked towards me with the body she stole from Rhiannon, whomever Rhiannon is. “Sleep, for now,” she commanded and I felt my eyelids turned heavy. I resisted but they closed without my consent and then I fell asleep.

“Niall, wake up. Niall!” A voice called me and I immediately opened my eyes. I gazed at the face in front of me, calculating whether she was an ally or enemy.

“It’s me Niall. It’s Rhiannon.”

“Is this a dream?” I asked and she nodded.

“It’s the only way I can talk to you, for now,” she answered.

“Is everything true?” I asked again and she gave me a confused look. “That I’m pregnant?”

“Yes Niall. You are pregnant,” she told me. “And things will clarify after you wake up. It’s the only way to do this Niall, for me to give you what you lost. It’s time you remember your past and who you really are.”

I then saw her whole body glow. She touched my hands and I felt a tingle on my skin as my body started to glow. “We are the descendant of the goddess. We are inviolable. We are the druids.”

Faint light greeted me as I lifted my eyelids. Icy wind brushed my face as the same freezing feeling rubbed my back. I turned but failed feeling the bite of cold steel restraining my neck. The same thick metal on my arms and ankles pinned me on the table where I laid.

I only gaze at the stars in front of me surrounding the image of a full moon as the wind continued to kiss my cheeks. There was no roof, no walls, nothing to block the wind that made me shiver realizing in my nakedness.

“I think our druid is awake,” Oberon grinned at me holding a dagger on his hand. He looked at his reflection on the silver blade admiring its sharpness. “It’s better this way though. So that you can witness how we harvest the little ones from inside you,” he said touching my stomach.

“Oberon, step aside,” Methuselah told him walking towards me and touching my stomach. “It seems they aren’t mature enough for the spell. We have to hasten their growth.”

“That’s easily done,” Oberon said as Methuselah move backward. Antonius only looked from behind the two.

“I command you children grow, hasten your maturity. I command you be complete immediately,” he spoke as he sliced his palm and put it on my bare stomach.

I then felt pain on my abdomen. It felt like I was being torn apart and my inside was getting so tight, so crowded. I grimaced as I saw my stomach growing into a bulge, feeling it crush my insides. It grew bigger and bigger like a water melon, and heavier as well.

“There,” Oberon licked his bleeding hand. “Perfect.”

“Now, all we have to do was wait for the moon to turn red,” Methuselah said. And suddenly Blood splattered on my face.

I screamed as I the crimson liquid spluttered from Oberon’s mouth and stomach towards me. Behind him stood Antonius and his hand passing through Oberon’s chest…

“What…” Oberon tried speaking but he failed to continue as a crushing sound came from inside his body.

“Very well done, Antonius,” Methuselah laughed from a corner of the place. “It’s very well done. Oberon didn’t expect you coming.”

“And you did?”

“What use does being the most powerful witch have if you can’t see a glimpse of the future,” she said clapping her hands. A gush of wind blew and suddenly witches floated on the sky around us. “You didn’t think I would come unprepared, did you?”

“No,” he answered.

“Of course, I don’t actually need to see the future to know you would do this when you realized your grandson is inside the druid,” she laughed. “I’m not that stupid, Antonius. I know that you wolves value family more than anything, especially the young. So, I predicted you would save your grandson.”

“Unluckily for you, I came prepared, unlike Oberon,” Methuselah laughed. “And this place is near a hundred feet above the ground. There is no way out.”

21.1) Conspiracy – Zayn

I have to hurry. I knew Liam was an idiot but I didn’t realize he would be a fool to let himself be killed just like that. He can’t surely fight those numbers of witches and wolves alone. It’s suicide.

I wanted to help him, I did. But I don’t want to die in the process. I dove deep down into under the waterfall and into another set of tunnels.

Unlike any other creatures, we can see in the darkness of the water. We’ve technically lived at the bottom of the ocean and some parts of it doesn’t get enough light. I followed the tunnels which I always use when I’m meeting a childhood friend, Puck.

After a few turns, I reached a tunnel that goes up into a secret lake in a cave where he had never left, for decades.

“Puck!” I called and immediately the elf appeared in his green tights.

“Zayn,” he answered me surprised. “What bring you here in my simple prison?”

“I need to speak to the queen,” I told him. “It is urgent.”

“The castle is in chaos,” he answered. “And they won’t waste a single moment for me. My king is a traitor to my race, and so was I. No one has ever visited me, no one but you.”

“The last druid is in danger. I need to speak to Queen Titania. The prophecy is being fulfilled. We can’t let that happen,” I told him. “Where are your guards?”

“Speak then,” we turned our heads to see a man in the shadows. “Let us hear what you have to say.”

“Louis,” I knew him. I’ve hear Puck talk about him and I recognize him from school.

“Prince Louis,” bowed the elf as the man walked from the shadows. || Stay tuned for more

We are getting to the climax of the story. Now who do you think will win METHUSELA or ANTONIUS…

At the same time, HARRY vs LIAM is happening. Who will win? The next chapter will reveal the fight. Hope you look forward for it.

Will the prophecy be fulfilled? Or will Niall be saved?
