Hey lovelies,

I sincerely apologize for the delay in the update. I just had to follow up on my other stories, and the inspiration for them just overrode this one. Also, I had been having connection problems since yesterday. Please know that I updated as soon as my internet connection was back up. So here it is now. Thanks you for the wait.

DEDICATION:  for my new reader Hazza2014…

I love you too. That’s why I don’t want to get separated from you.” ~Harry

20) Away – Niall

“They’ll bring you to safety,” Harry kissed me on the forehead tying what was left of my tattered shirt on his hips. He was referring to the woman who barge in on us, and some others.

I wondered about what had happened to the little black bird. It helped us by bringing the fruits that made Harry heal faster. Those red berries were really delicious. But how come she didn’t warn us about intruders.

“Did my little bird give you this,” the red woman asked looking at what’s left of the berries. She then looked at my totality like I was some sort of unusual being, like it’s her first time seeing a human.

I nodded ignoring the look she was giving me. “You know her?” I asked.

“Her? Yes,” she answered as if she doesn’t care. “I own her.”

“Oh,” I muttered softly. I remembered the crow guiding us to the cave and giving us food. I heard its voice one’s telling me to eat the red berries and also let Troy eat it, it sounded like a woman.

“No wonder you two were doing it like bunnies,” the red lady smiled taking one of the berries inside her mouth. “Yummy… Berry of Venus,” she said crushing them with her teeth. She licked some of the juices that stained her lips. She also sucked her finger that had reddened from touching the berries. “They work as aphrodisiac. They make you horny. It intensifies the need for sensual touch, especially for wolves and their mates.”

“So they made us do…”

“No honey,” she answered standing from the rock where she sat. She had never really left there ever since Troy and I woke up. “You wanted to do it. You just needed a little push of confidence, and the berries worked like that.”

“Harry!” I called him feeling uneasy as the woman in red approached me.

“A little bit,” he answered glancing at me for a second before turning back. He continued to talk to his friends, his pack as he explained the wolves call their group. They came following the woman.

I don’t know about Harry, but my gut feeling tells me I shouldn’t trust the woman in red. The way she looked at me gives me the creeps.

“Harry,” the woman called. “I can feel him coming near.  We will have confrontation soon. Now, we should have your mate delivered out of here, so we can fight properly.”

“I know,” Harry answered. He turned to the two of us while his pack moved outside the cave.

“But Harry,” I argued. “I’m not leaving without you.”

“Darling, Harry is a werewolf. It’s very hard to kill them,” the woman told me. But I knew better. I’ve seen him wounded. I’ve seen him so pale that I almost thought he would die.

“You should go with the witches,” Harry told as he walked on my side and putting a hand around my waste. “They will bring you to my house. You’ll be able to fly,” he winked at me but I’m not buying that crap. I don’t even feel excited about flying.

“I’m staying Harry,” I told him trying to be firm.

“Niall listen to me. Verona saw a horde of vampire around the forest,” he said referring to the woman in red. He’s convinced she’s a very powerful witch, and that she’s telling the truth. I just don’t trust her with my gut.

“Niall, we will protect you,” she said motioning me to three more witches wearing blue dresses and blue hats. “Witches wearing blue uniforms are strong defensive witches. They will protect you with their life,” she informed me.

But instead of being relieved and feeling safe an image flashed in my mind, an image of a man. His silver hair flickered with the light as he looked me with his blue eyes. He opened his mouth and told me something. His voice sounded like music, saying lines that I knew I have heard before.

Trust not the one who bids protection,

for all the tongue can lie,

and all he has is pure deception,

and deceive you ‘till you die.

I’ve know those words. I’ve recalled it when I was with the fae and the one they called Louis. I only ignored it that time, but it happened. Louis told me I was safe there at their place, that they’ll protect me. But they hunted us like wild animal. They tried to shoot us with arrows and threw spears at Harry.

And this time, I knew I should heed the warning. I think that man is my subconscious, especially since he looked just like me. And it’s telling me to be careful of the witches.

“Harry?” I asked him wishing he would say ‘yes’. “Can you come with me?”

“He can’t,” the woman answered me abruptly. “He had to stay with his pack,” she said referring to the group of shifter who were already in their wolves and were scattered outside.

“I have to lead my pack,” Harry said touching my hand and interlacing our fingers. He brought my hand near his lips and kissed the back of it. “But I’ll be thinking of you. I love you.”

“I love you too,” I answered. “That’s why I don’t want to get separated from you.”

“I know,” he said smiling. “Still, I need you to do exactly what they say when you get out of here. They will make you safe.”

“But…” I insisted. I have the feeling they were trying to separate us.

He put his fingers on my lips to stop me from speaking. “I will not forgive myself if something happened to you here. This is not your fight. It doesn’t have anything to do with you,” he told me. “You’re human Niall. This is supernatural business.”

“Your fight is my fight,” I whined.

“I know,” he smiled pressing my hand with his tightly but. “That’s why I can fight better knowing that you are safe, away from the bloodbath that is soon to happen.”

“But…”

“No buts honey,” the red witch walked rudely in between us. “I’m sorry to cut this short but time is really running fast,” she said waving her blue ladies to come.

“Take him where he needs to be,” she told the three and they nodded. “Now, Mr. Alpha, we need to prepared,” she told Harry as she held him on the arms and pulled him away from me.

Bitch!

I glanced more than a hundred times at Harry talking closely to the woman in red.  The three ladies in blue witch uniform which consisted of just plain blues dress that reached above their knees tried to get me in position riding a broom. But they immediately gave up.

At first, I thought how hard it could be? It’s just like riding a bicycle. But it was harder than riding a motorcycle. So instead they told me that they would be casting a barrier around me while the three of them carry the barrier to Harry house near the lake.

“Don’t you have like teleportation spells?” I asked and they smiled bitterly at me.

“Only celestial witches have spells that could transfer a person like teleportation. And sadly, they are very weak, and very hard to find. And three of them had just been killed by vampires,” one of them told me.

“Vampires?” I repeated.

“Yes,” one of the three answered. “We should start,” she told her comrades and they started chanting. They surrounded me and put their hands towards me. Slowly I felt a translucent blue light starting to form a sphere around me. They continued to chant with their eyes closed until the sphere had totally enveloped me.

“Hold on,” one of them told me as they took position on their broom. They formed a triangle around my sphere, one in front of me and the two on both side.

“Where leaving,” they chorused as the broom lifted in the air carrying the sphere where I was in. The movement made me lost my balance so instead of standing I sat praying that they didn’t lose concentration or I would definitely fall.

I looked at Harry one last time and he did me too. Our company moved towards the entrance of the cave and immediately the water broke in half giving way for the four of us. We floated passing through the parted water and above the lake.

I felt overwhelmed looking down at the water and the wolves roaming around the river as we floated further and further above. But I also felt empty knowing that the distance between Harry and I was increasing.

We floated higher that I could almost see the entire town. I could even all the way to the house at the cliff and way beyond the sea.

I saw the witches nod at each other and we bolted away from the water fall. We floated above huge trees and passed some group of birds that were curious enough to fly near us. We passed through some clouds and then I realized we were already approaching the lake near Harry’s house.

But what worried me was that the witches weren’t slowing down. Instead, they were moving faster until we had already passed the lake and still moving further.

“Hey,” I yelled but I didn’t know if they could hear me. I pointed down to the house but the witches were ignoring me.

“Hello!” I shouted. “We already passed Harry’s house,” I screamed banging my hand on the bubble that enclosed me. “Hey… People?”

And that was when I realized they weren’t planning on bringing me to Harry’s house. They were bringing me somewhere else. I knew my gut feeling was right. I’m not safe with them.

A knot started to form in my stomach. These people aren’t my friends. They lied to me and to Harry.

“Bring me down!” I yelled banging my hand on the sphere. “Bring me down, now” I repeated hitting the sphere with my hand, hoping it would break. I continued not carrying what happened to me as long as I get out of the sphere that trapped me.

“Bring me down,” I hit the sphere harder with my fist. And suddenly I felt the sphere crack. Slowly the colorless space the held me up on the sky started to vanish and I started to fall.

“Oh my god…” I screamed as the earth pulled me down. “I realized it too late.” I closed my eyes as I wait for the ground and probably death. Everything turned dark.

“Harry,” I cried.

“Isn’t he beautiful?” I heard a woman serene voice of. I felt a gentle combing on my head. “He’s the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen since the war ages,” the woman continued speaking.

“And I could feel their beating hearts as well, growing fast,” the woman continued.

“There are three,” a male voice followed the woman’s voice. “And one was far older than the other two.”

I don’t know what they were talking about. But I was curious as to who they were. So, I slowly lifted my eyelids trying to get accustomed to the bright light. And finally, my eyes opened. The first thing that came to me was a woman’s face.

She beamed her smile at me. She looked so angelic that I was sure I was in heaven.

“Nice to finally meet you,” she greeted me.

“Am I dead?” I asked immediately.

I turned to another person on the woman’s side and saw a tall man with pointed ears and long red hair. He too looked beautiful, like an angel.

“I really am dead, aren’t I?” I asked again.

“No, Niall,” the woman answered me. “You are still alive.”

I sighed relieved.

“Where am I, then?” I asked them pulling myself up to sit. But my body felt so heavy that I immediately gave up and went back to lying.

“What happened? And who are you?” I asked.

They looked so familiar. The guy beside the woman looked so much like Louis. And the woman, I think I’ve seen her before.

I closed my eyes trying to remember things.

I was falling. Witches were bringing me somewhere else. Harry was in danger fighting with vampires. But where did I see that woman that was standing near me? Where?

“Where have I seen you?” I asked the woman and suddenly an image flashed. She looked exactly like the woman standing at the window of Liam’s house.

“My name is Methuselah,” the woman answered. “I’m the leader and the eldest of the witches. And this is Oberon, king of Faeries.”

“Oh,” was the only thing that left my mouth. So they did catch me again.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe here.” The woman told me sensing my uneasiness. “I apologize if my people freaked you out by not telling you that you’re going somewhere else. You see, we had some intelligence that more vampires had flooded Woodbridge, so it isn’t safe there, anymore.”

I closed my eyes wishing all was just a dream. I still couldn’t believe these things were real. That Harry was a wolf and I’m with a witch.

“We will leave you for now. Rest,” Methuselah told me with her gentle voice. “We have more visitors to entertain.”

“Come King Oberon,” Methuselah told the red haired man. “The Supreme Alpha finally arrived.” And they left the room. I closed my eyes and tried to relax but the words of warning echoed again.

Trust not the one who bids protection, for all the tongue can lie, and all he has is pure deception, and deceive you ‘till you die.

I felt my stomach churned like something was pushing out and suddenly I was able to pull myself up in time for some bitter liquid to exit my mouth. I vomited.

“Where is this?” I turned around seeing nothing but a wide empty room with white walls, white ceiling and white floor. “Hello?” I called as my voice bounced from wall to wall. “Is anybody here?”

I don’t know what happened or how I came into that place. I just knew that I felt really tired after vomiting a lot, so even when I didn’t feel safe, I lost consciousness.

And when I opened my eyes, I was in this place.

“Hello?” I called as I walked in the center of the room. When I came at the center, I saw something floating on another part of the room.

It was so far that I still needed to walk to see it. The image became clearer and clearer as I approached it. And it didn’t take long before I recognize the only thing that was in the room with me.

I stood in front of the woman lying in midair. Her eyes were closed like she was sleeping.

“Methuselah,” I recognize her face.

Why is she here? What is happening?

“Niall?” I heard a voice, a woman. I looked at Methuselah but she hadn’t moved but I knew it was her voice.

“Niall, I know you can hear me,” she told me and I confirmed it was her. She spoke directly to my mind. “I need to tell you something. Listen well…”

“What is happening?” I asked her. “Why are we here?” I had a lot of questions for her but I don’t know where to start.

“There’s no time to explain,” the voice echoed in my head. “And I am not Methuselah, Niall. I am Rhiannon,” she told me.

“But you told me your name was Methuselah,” I told her clearly remembering how she introduced herself and Oberon.

“That wasn’t me,” she told me. “And you have to get away from her, from them. You are in great danger,” she explained. “I would have helped you but as you can see, I am in resting my body.”

“Wait this is all so confusing,” I told her. “There was so much information that I could not process them all. Why am I in danger?”

“Everything will clear up, eventually,” she told me. “But you are on your own for now. You have to get away from them, Niall.” And then I woke up. || Stay tuned for more

Hahahaha… Niall, lost again. Who will save him next? And do you have any idea why he’s feeling unwell?

Why does Methuselah look like Eve/Rhiannon? Is she a friend or a foe? What is happening in the waterfall? Will Harry and Niall see each other again?
