Baby Shower Surprises

(Verkwan)

Everything was getting ready. The banners were all in place. The tables are positioned to his liking and Seungkwan can smile in contentment.

Tomorrow is his baby shower and it has to be spectacular. He had gone to a couple of baby showers in the past but he has never gone to a male’s baby shower so he is willing to do anything so that his baby shower is the first to drop jaws down with amusement.

Because of tight money and because right now he isn’t working as much as his husband Vernon, Seungkwan can only rent a small room that his mother’s friend offer them. The room is a small venue that many people had rented before for parties, even a wedding was held there.

It wasn’t what he envisioned, it kind of irritated him, but he really can’t complain. It isn’t time to act all diva on things that he really can’t afford. Vernon was all he could to help him bring in more cash so that they are prepared for the birth of their beautiful baby daughter.

“Did you bring extra pink balloons? I’m almost out of them,” Vernon yells from across the room, his legs twisted into pretzel style, his ass planted on the floor as he threw the balloons over his head when he finished tying the balloons securely.

“There is three bags next to the table cloths,” Seungkwan responds, putting tape on top of the wrapping paper. He was done with this gift; he had four more to go.

His mother had shown him all the games that they could play on the day of the baby shower which included gifts for the winners. The gifts weren’t expensive, just a couple of dollars from the dollar tree or Ross but they were essential enough for every day use.

Tomorrow is almost here and Seungkwan is so ready to celebrate it. He was also nervous. His baby girl was almost here too. His due date is in four days and he’s so worried that there might be complications. He is a male, after all.

“How much you payed for the venue?” Seungkwan asks, curious to know since he wasn’t there when Vernon payed the lady.

“Don’t worry about it.” Is all he responds leaving Seungkwan with a pouty face. He doesn’t have to keep the price from him. He’s not going to freak out. Whatever he payed, is already payed so he can’t really be angry.

They could of done the baby shower at their house but it was a small living room and he didn’t want to have all of their friends bumping into each other. His place is not the biggest if you could say so.

With Vernon’s wages and Seungkwan working at a retired home, they don’t have enough to be paying a larger place. Well, not when their expenses are now towards their daughter.

Seungkwan is glad that they saved up the minute they found he was pregnant. He had just finished his last semester of the year, when he had overwhelming urge to throw up in the boy’s restroom, something that he did not do because the smell was putrefying and there was a handful of males doing their business while talking and he didn’t want to cause a scene between them.

The car ride to their home was spent worrying about him being pregnant. He knew he could conceive the day his mother took him to the doctor to check upon his health when he started to become sick.

From there, he had the news delivered in a fashion of professionalism and worry from his doctor. The doctor looked at him straight in the eye, and with a shake of a head, told him that he had an uterus like if it would equate the same sadness of having cancer or an uncured disease.

The doctor was waiting for a disgusted snarl. A shock of the fist connecting with the desk and “Are you serious?” reaction that never came.

He was shocked. Seungkwan could not wrap around the fact that he could conceive. That kind of information is never in the news, nor is it heard any where. Is there any other males who can conceive too? Because if they are, he has a lot of questions up his sleeves that he wants to be answered right away.

The doctor told him about options and gave him pamphlets that were clearly made for women. With a wary smile, he took them not before dismissing all the options that the doctor was sure would help for his future. And none of them were to keep his baby if did he end up being pregnant.

The drive was very foggy; there was a lot of sighs from his part. Seungkwan has been married to Vernon for three years now. He had proposed to him at the back of his car with a cake that said ” Marry? Me?” with his favorite frosting.

A few months later they got married and they moved into a small loft that they could both easily afford at that time. He never minded that Vernon came from a lesser financial stability since his parents are in the lower side of the higher class hierarchy. His parents didn’t mind either. They really didn’t care about their differences as long as they both loved each other.

It wasn’t a problem until the baby announced herself on the pee stick that he bought during his stop at a pharmacy nearby.

There was no denying that he was pregnant. The stick was the proof, the evidence, the announcement.

Vernon had just came home from work, his favorite soda in his hand (he hated beer. The taste was too bitter) while he watched whatever was on tv to relax himself.

Seungkwan could feel the tension building even before it had time to be built, as he placed his bag on the table and took his phone out from the bag.

Usually he is talkative when he arrives so that Vernon is aware that he is home. Today, though, he calculated his steps, counted all the breaths that he was taking with slow-rhythm pace.

Vernon smiled at him when he noticed him there. “How was your last day of the semester? Was the test hard?” He takes a sip of his grape soda.

“I’m sured I passed. I did study all night for it,” Seungkwan admits, sitting himself right next to Vernon and laying his head on his shoulder.

“That’s the spirit, love. Why do you do look so sad?” Vernon lightly chuckles but shows more concern for his behavior.

“Will you still love me if I told you that our lives are going to change?” Seungkwan could not say it if Vernon did not agree to loving him above anything first before telling him.

“Well it depends. You didn’t cheat on me right?” Vernon’s eyebrows furrow, and looks down on him with confusion.

Seungkwan deliberately shakes his head. He would never cheat on him. That is too much in his part. If he didn’t love Vernon, he would rather leave him than to have the nerve to deceive his lover. Which will never happen since Seungkwan loves Vernon with all his heart.

“Seungkwan, did you not pass a class? Is that why your acting like this? Failing a class does not make you a failure, love.” Vernon places his soda on the small table and moves Seungkwan so that he is on top of him and they are face to face.

“Oh, god no. That would so much worse than cheating. I would never fail a class,” he jokingly says, letting his tears fall.

Vernon laughs along although he is still lost. That sight makes him want to attack him with kisses but this isn’t the right time.

“Do you remember when I told you that I am intersex?” Seungkwan raises his eyebrows, letting Vernon catch up to his question.

“Yes. You cried so much that it took you along time to tell me. Are you saying that you’re pregnant?”

“Yeah,” he says, with shaky laugh.

“Are you serious?” He exclaims, his face molding into a grin.

“I have the proof in my bag,” Seungkwan says, excitedly.

“It was about time. We’re making history baby,” Vernon states, attacking Seungkwan with kisses, an act of everything going right in his life.

Those few months after the announcement were harder than anything he went through. The morning sickness, the swelling of his feet, his boss firing him for getting pregnant and his swing moods all caught up to him that he was just about done being pregnant.

He got better as the months progressed. He took less classes and started working for his dad law firm office as the mail man. His dad worked on his schedule and gave him sufficient enough breaks that he could work more hours.

It all meant that his futuristic plans that he had viewed in mind a year were now rearranged and placed for another time. Not achieving all the goals he had in mind didn’t really put any strain in him;however, it did meant that to attain them he had to wait longer which in another words, sucked.

Everything was supposed to happen for a reason. For some people, that is. Seungkwan likes to be believe that he is one of those people.

Fate has funny ways of showing up in unexpected places, unexpected times, and unexpected circumstances. Seungkwan likes to believe that halting his dreams a little while he makes a family with Vernon are the ways of the universe to test his patience, his place in this earth.

His unborn daughter is an enough stability and agreement for halting his dreams. He could really not ask for more than this.

“What are you thinking of, love?” Vernon was up, behind him with the bags of pink balloons and his head was hovering over Seungkwan.

Seungkwan could feel Vernon’s breath faltering in the air; the air thick and hot, tickling his neck.

“The day I told you I was pregnant. Your reaction was the best thing; it reassured me that this was the leap that our relationship needed,” Seungkwan says, smile in a daze. He still has the memory on repeat, their endless conversation and the strong grip of Vernon’s embrace.

“I miss that day. That was one of my happiest days. And I can’t wait until I make another happiest moments- one of my best memories for sure.” Vernon sits down next to Seungkwan and places the bags of balloons next to the done wrapped-gifts and slides Seungkwan’s chair next to him.

Seungkwan yelps, covering his mouth with his hands and laughs at the surprise movement. Vernon connects his lips next to his in another surprise, this time though, he is prepared. His lips are always prepared for his lovers lips; their lips already used to the constant touch.

Seungkwan can’t help but think this is perfect. The day before their baby shower, the love springing from them to fill the room to bless their daughter with their commitment, their unity, their arrival.

Their kiss soon start to become more than a simple kiss and it isn’t stopped until two of their friends are here.

“Ahh, why do we always find you guys making out,” Hoshi groans, shaking his head and a sour face is plastered on his face.

Hoshi sits, sluggish, opposite from them, his hands on his belly imitating Seungkwan who was wrapping his hands around his belly. Next to Hoshi was their other friend Jun who was quiet and had a bit of a poker face so it was harder to see if he was enjoying things or not.

“Oh, hush, Hoshi. It’s not our fault that you broke up with your girlfriend,” Vernon says, moving away from Seungkwan and faces their friends and grabs a balloon from the bag. He brings it to his mouth so that he can blow air into it.

“My ex-girlfriend has nothing to do with the fact that you guys have too much PDA going on,” Hoshi says.

“Hoshi is right. Sometimes I have dreams of you guys making out while we are all eating,” Jun says, shaking his body while his face is mortified.

“What!” Seungkwan laughs, perplexed. That is such a weird dream. But he’s right. They do kiss a lot. Well, it’s mostly because his hormones are all over the place and he can’t stop from getting enough kisses from Vernon. And let’s not get started when they are in bed.

“You have weird dreams dude.” Vernon says, finished with his pink balloon and throws it to the air and grabs another balloon from the bag.

“I can’t help what I dream about. You guys even made my dreams include you guys making out. Yuck,” Jun shuddered, unpleasantly. He looked disgusted but at the same intrigued.

“Anyways, changing the subject,” Hoshi looks at him weirdly as if he warned him not to act all weird. “Mingyu and Wonwoo might not come to the baby shower because they’re still stuck at the airport.”

“That sucks. I was really looking forward to talking to Wonwoo about their honeymoon in Hawaii,” Seungkwan says bummed. Since he didn’t have a honeymoon with Vernon somewhere highly popular, he wanted to discuss with Wonwoo how it was to have a honeymoon over there.

“They said they’ll try to make it as soon as they can even if they missed the entire party,” Jun adds. He grabs a balloon too and starts playing with it instead of blowing air into it.

“Well we understand. We can just see them tomorrow before we go the hospital or we can see them at the hospital,” Vernon utters, not really faced by the sudden absence of their two friends.

However, their absence made Seungkwan really sad. Wonwoo is one of his really good friends right after Joshua and Minghao. He is really looking forward to seeing them and for them to have their famous talks on whatever subjects they brought for the day.

“I hope they come,” Seungkwan whispers, low enough so that they can’t hear him so the only thing they do hear is Seungkwan complaining.

“We just came to give you guys some of the beverages and chips that we agreed to bring. We have to work really early tomorrow so we’ll see you guys in the afternoon,” Hoshi says, getting up and hugging them, Jun following after, and they soon are gone. The two lovebirds left alone once again.

The window displayed the arrival of the night. There was a chill coming from the outside, making Seungkwan shiver.

They were almost done. The only thing left to do was place the tables and put the cloths and centerpieces in the middle. He was really proud of his centerpieces.

It took him four days to finish them all. He bought some stuff in Walmart and others from the dollar store. His DIY ideas helped him save a lot of money.

His centerpiece idea was mason jars filled with pebbles that he got from his parents’ house, a few fresh flowers that he bought and a pink ribbon wrapped around the jar and a bow displayed in the middle. Instead of baby related centerpieces, he decided to use flowers since they look more modest and you can use them in tables as decoration.

After such a long day working and then coming to the venue to fix it up for about a few hours really made him tired so hitting his bed, even if he doesn’t take a shower, is all he can think about this moment.

Vernon was doing all the hard work, putting all the tables in their right places while he places the mason jars in the middle of the tables. There was only five tables so it went pretty fast the placing of the centerpieces.

With all of this taken care of, there was one less thing to worry about. After this baby shower was over, he can finally start freaking about childbirth. But for now, he wants to enjoy the moment of being with his friends and the last day of being pregnant before he hits the hospital and he would be basically be in pain until he can actually give birth.

Vernon was about to close the door of the venue when he got a call from work. Seungkwan felt a swift irritation wave over him. He knew what this call was for.

No matter the good outcome of this he was already to shout at Vernon.

“Don’t give me that look, Seungkwan. I have no choice,” Vernon pleads, removing the key from the keyhole with a yank, hugging Seungkwan from the back.

Seungkwan is not buying it so he pushes Vernon away from him and instead crosses his arms in dissatisfaction. “Everyone has choices.”

“No, they don’t. Not when they have a child on the way. It’s only for a couple of hours.”

“A couple hours alone,” Seungkwan whimpers. He doesn’t know why it affects him so much but it does. He can’t stand to be alone with his thoughts. All the possibilities that his due date could go wrong. He could die on the table. Get a heart attack because he can’t sustain the anesthesia and the doctors can’t resuscitate him.

“I can call one of your best friends so you don’t feel so lonely. If I could I wouldn’t work at this hour but I can’t do that. We need the money,” Vernon implores, tries to give him an alternative so that he doesn’t see him so hurt by being by himself. He doesn’t want to leave him alone. At this late in Seungkwan’s pregnancy, his hormones off the charts and anything can make him kind of explode.

Just like about now.

“No. I don’t want a baby shower now. I’m calling it off. Thanks to you. I’ll be in the car,” Seungkwan cries out, angry and hurt.

“Seungkwan, don’t be childish.”

“I can’t hear you. I’m already out of a baby shower. Our kid is going to hate us.”

Vernon shakes his head as he watches Seungkwan walk to their car, his cries filled his ears, more like piercing his ears. When things don’t go his way, Seungkwan acts childish. And when he’s hurt by something he knows he can’t do anything about, he starts to cry with full force that it makes it seem like someone died.

“Hopefully, when our daughter is born, he doesn’t act all childish anymore.” Vernon sighs, his hands on his lips while he puckers his lips and sprints to Seungkwan who was about now to have a full blown meltdown.

In his bed, Seungkwan was in his pajamas, the television on so he can pretend to ignore Vernon who was getting ready to go to work.

Since he was craving ice cream, he had his legs crossed, the ice cream bucket on top of his belly and the spoon in the air while he ate the chocolate deliciously.

The volume of the television was loud enough that it could irritate Vernon which was exactly what Seungkwan wants. To irritate him and demonstrate that he is still bothered about his late working habit.

“I called Seuncheol and Joshua to come over while I’m working,” Vernon advices him as he sits at the edge of the bed so that he can put on his shoes.

“What! I don’t need babysitting,” Seungkwan says, beyond angry now. He gets up from the pillow and forcefully puts the ice cream bucket down on the table.

“They’re not babysitting. They’re keeping you company instead. And you can’t say anything anymore because they’re pulling out of the car right this second.”

“Of course.” Of course he did. Whenever he needs to work in the night, he always calls one of their friends. Seungkwan doesn’t really mind. He loves all he friends. It’s just that he never lets him be by himself. Never. He can’t remember when was the last time that he was by himself in the night when Vernon was working late. Not when he was pregnant that is.

“I’m only going to be gone for six hours. I’ll be here soon so that we can get ready for the baby shower. Get some sleep because I know you won’t in the delivery room.” Vernon kisses Seungkwan’s forehead before he grabs his sweater from the hanger.

Just as he opens the door of their room, Seuncheol and Joshua appear, with bags of food.

“Don’t let him eat all of that, alright? Bye guys. Thanks for doing this.” Vernon let’s them in as he nods at them.

“No worries. We needed a sleep over, anyways. Ever since Seokmin got a new game for his PlayStation, he won’t stop playing it. And he’s not very quiet about it,” Seuncheol says.

“We brought ramen noodles. The kind that makes us want more,” Joshua chuckles, sitting on the bed and engulfing Seungkwan with a hug.

“Alright then. I’ll see you guys in the morning.” Vernon closes the door and leaves them too be. The time will go slow for him, especially since he already feels sleepy. His eyes are closing on him. He hopes that the strange feeling of the night will keep him up, fully alert.

Back in the room, Seuncheol changed the channel to a sports news channel while they all eat a chocolate bar.

“How does the venue look like?” Joshua asks, eating a huge chuck of his Twix bar.

“Beautiful. I think the best thing of the venue is my mason jars,” Seungkwan replies, in love with the chocolate. This definitely made him mood change.

“Why didn’t you let us help. I had nothing to do today. My class got cancelled and I don’t work today,” Seuncheol adds, lying flat on his stomach on the bed and swings his legs up in the air.

“I just wanted to be with Vernon for a little bit since he’s working a lot so that he can take a one week break so that he can help me with our daughter,” he says quietly.

Those few hours were precious for him. Being with Vernon decorating the venue made him really happy. Until now. He feels crappy for not letting his friends help him. He knew some of them had nothing today.

“Well if you need any help you can just tell me. I hat being in the house. I want company,” Seuncheol says in a plead. With Seokmin loud ass he sometimes wants a break where there is no noise. Even if he needs a change of noise, he sure the noise of a new born baby will sooth him.

“I wish I could help. With this job I feel so tired. But I will love to baby sit sometimes,” Joshua says, throwing the wrapper to the bag and picks skittles out of the bag and adds a couple to his mouth, straight from the bag. “I like pigging out with you guys.”

Seungkwan snorts out a laugh. “I’m always pigging out. I feel like a whale.”

“You’re not,” Joshua defends back. “Pregnant people just like eating a lot.”

“Remind me to not get someone pregnant at this time. I’m not ready to go through so much shouting.” Seuncheol, sits down on his butt and turns the channel once again. It’s not interesting to watch sports news when you’re not really listening.

“Hey! I feel sad for whoever you’re going to marry. They’re going to be hearing your boring sports news. You’re such a grandpa,” Seungkwan complains, scrunching his nose. Sports is so boring. And old news.

“I’m not a grandpa. That’s offensive,” Seuncheol pouts. His sports are not boring.

“Whatever. Let’s watch Steven Universe or another drama,” Joshua says, getting comfortable in Vernon’s pillow. He reminds himself to get a new pillow like theirs. His pillow is like three years old. Which reminds him that he should already throw it since unsanitary and gross by now.

“So Netflix or Hulu?” Seungkwan asks, the remote control of his smart tv already in his hands.

“Netflix baby. Nothing can beat Netflix,” Seuncheol says, putting a pillow on top of Joshua and lays his head so that he can see the television screen comfortable.

“Ugh, you’re annoying,” Joshua complains.

~~~
“What a bummer that Mingyu and Wonwoo are not coming,” Jeonghan says, getting a cookie from the tray,” they’re gonna be missed.”
“They’re not dead, stupid,” Joshua says, rolling his eyes, a cup of coke in between his lips.
“I’m pretty sure that’s not what he meant,” Jun comments, getting some chips from the tray of mixed chips and then goes back to Seuncheol, Dino and Vernon.
“I hope they come, though,” Seungkwan sighs, adding a donut to his plate of already fulled-junk food.
The party had started twenty minutes ago and not everyone had arrived yet. Seungkwan has decided to wait until everyone arrived even if mean that Wonwoo and Mingyu wouldn’t be there.
Most of his friends were spread out in the tables, some in their phones while the others brought food from the table; Vernon had brought a Bluetooth speaker so that he can put Spotify and the rest can take turns putting their music.
Seungkwan is pleased with everything going right and is excited to open all the gifts he has gotten so far. He expects a lot of diapers or onesies so that her daughter doesn’t get cold in the night.
“Even if they don’t come, we’ll see them tomorrow, love,” Vernon reassures him from across the room.
Seokmin coos and the rest make stupid faces that makes Seungkwan throw all the food at them. Curse Vernon and his sweet-angelic words.
“Okay, lets stop with all the lovey-dovey shit and let’s starts playing the games. And Woozi your music is boring. Change it,” Jun commands, getting up and retrieving a chair from the ground.
“How about Michael Jackson,” Dino suggests, his face lightning up.
“No,”Vernon, Seuncheol and Jeonghan say at the same time, their faces fill with horror.
“We hear it almost all the time, Dino. Some fresh music will be nice for this party,” Joshua chimes in.
“Whatever,” Dino whispers, bummed. He grabs a chair and drags it along the floor, making a screeching sound as he goes to emphasize that they just made him upset.
As everyone situated themselves in a circle, Seokmin, who called himself the host of the games, started grabbing all the gifts for the winners with the help of Vernon and Seungkwan.
Seungkwan had a pad of lists of games in his hands as he was sitting in the middle of the circle. Vernon was right next to him, except he was standing, his hands lightly massaging Seungkwan’s.
Their friends were all becoming louder, excited to play all of the games. Since it was their first time, they didn’t know what to expect. Also, this is the first time that they have been involved that it was naturally made for women, even some women claim that no males are allowed. The irony is that no women is Seungkwan’s baby shower.
“The first game is to guess how big Seungkwan’s belly is with toilet paper,” Seokmin shouts from his pretend microphone (he’s using a water bottle as substitute). Then he picks the toilet paper from the table and hands it to Vernon who demonstrates how to do it.
“Who ever is the closest wins the game. May the best win,” he says, with a wink and lets Woozi go first.
“It’s going to be so short,” Woozi complains as he rolls a couple of the paper into his hand. With no luck, he is right. It is too short.
He says nothing and goes back to his seat. They can’t measure Seungkwan yet until they all have their measurements with them so Woozi is stacked with his paper that is too short which means he won’t win.
“Maybe you picked a short roll cause of your height,” Jun says, making Seuncheol and Hoshi to burst out from laughter.
“Shut up,” Woozi says, in a whisper. He didn’t feel like defending himself. He was kind of tired of being called short. He’s not that short.
Joshua and Jeonghan went after Dino, to the surprise of Woozi who were not too far off from his measurement.
Then when it was Jun’s turn, he picks an even shorter measurement which makes Woozi cry from laughter, causing him to hide behind Minghao out of embarrassment.
Hoshi and Seuncheol are the last ones to go. They seem more prominent to go since they had the chance to see the others go first.
“Who do you think is going to win?” Seokmin asks Seungkwan once he is standing and the others are in a line to measure him.
“I’ll go first since I know I’m not going to win,” Woozi says, beating him to answering.
“I don’t have a favorite,” Seungkwan responds. His friends might be jerks to each other but they all play like that. They don’t just say things to be mean to each other, it’s so that they annoy each other. That is their brotherly love, just like any other siblings.
“Uhuh,” they all say together which causes them too laugh.
“We all know who he prefers,” Hoshi comments before he wraps the toilet roll over Seungkwan’s bump. Just like Woozi and Jeonghan, his ending paper didn’t mean with the starting one.
“You had more time than us and you still didn’t get correct measurements?” Dino with his hand sideways, brings it down and says”Boii!”
“Who is Seungkwan’s favorite?” Vernon asks, collecting the toilet paper from Joshua who did not made the toilet go all the way over Seungkwan’s bump.
“Wonwoo, duh,” Hoshi retorts.
“It’s not true,” Seungkwan defends himself, going over to Hoshi and hugging him,” I love all of my friends. You don’t think I love you?”
“Of course I do. I’m sorry. It doesn’t really matter. We all have our favorites anyways,” Hoshi says, soothing Seungkwan’s back as they hug so that he shows him that he’s not really mad and that he does know that he loves him.
“But I am your favorite right?” Seungkwan sniffs as he removes himself from Hoshi. He still has Hoshi under his grip but he is facing the voice that just spoke one second ago.
“Wonwoo! Mingyu! You guys are back,” he sang, tagging Hoshi behind him as he waddle to Wonwoo and Mingyu who was behind him carrying a present in his hands.
“How was your honeymoon?” Hoshi asks.
“Magnificent,” Mingyu responded, going for a hug. Hoshi jumps on him and they laugh, finally seeing each other after a week of being gone.
“A lot of sex?”Jun asks, nodding his head. His toilet was still on his hands; a cheeky look was on his face.
“What do you think?” Mingyu answers.
“Okayyy, we are not here to talk about sex. It’s ‘me’ time. Let’s find out who’s going to win,” Seungkwan says, tagging both Hoshi and Wonwoo to the front and watch as Joshua perfectly meets both ends of the toilet paper.
“Nice,”Vernon congratulates him, handing him the present that he chose.
Next they played the bottle with orange juice. The game turn into a a game of cheating in which Minghao ended winning. Then Mingyu won the game of clothes pin and Woozi the game of baby shower bingo.
The game all turn a perfect way for them too cheat which it wasn’t really minded since they were all having a good time.
It was time for them too eat which was the perfect way for them to converse on Mingyu and Wonwoo’s honeymoon.
“So you guys swam a lot? Luckies,” Seuncheol says, grabbing a chip from Joshua, and then takes a huge crunched bite,” I want that.”
“Get married,” Woozi suggests.
“Not right now,” Seuncheol laughs.
“Why not?” Seungkwan asks, turning the conversation to suck the answer from Seuncheol.
“No offense but I like living single and free from responsibilities,”he answers.
“None taken. That is understandable,” Vernon speaks with gentleness. He knows what Seuncheol is talking about. Once his daughter is born, he won’t have as much as freedom as he used to have. Even now there is no such thing as freedom. He doesn’t mind tho, one day he’ll have someone who is his responsibility that needs his full attention if he decides to make a family with children.
“I think this will further scar you since my water just broke,” Seungkwan nervously laughs, standing halfway up.
“What!” Vernon runs to him, his eyes wide open.
“I’ll call the ambulance,” Wonwoo says, getting his phone out.
Both parents are scared as they climb in the ambulance, their friends trailing behind.
This was it. Just yesterday they were preparing for the arrival for their daughter and now it is here, one day soon. They are super nervous but they are ready for this surprise that made herself come one day early. Perhaps she was supposed to be born on this day, the day that their friends came to celebrate her arrival.
“We’re having a daughter, baby.”
