(continued)
Jin left the company without a word and went to vent his anger. He went to eat. Everything suddenly seemed bitter and unappetizing. But still, he continued to stuff things into his mouth.
It was soon evening and everybody were getting off from work. Jin had been his day eating and drinking soju. He doesn’t like to drink, but somehow, he can hold his liquor pretty well. He looked at his clock, it was 6.10 pm. The usual Jin on a usual day would be in his car, driving to Yoongi’s place. But now…what should he do?
Aimlessly, he started to walk on the streets. Swaying from side to side like he owns the road, he reached a familiar place. It was Yoongi’s house. Despite mentally telling himself that he would not have any relations to that jerk ever again, he still went up the block.
Turning the knob and opening the door, he felt something usual. There was another pair of shoes outside the house. Not bothered to make any guesses, he simply walked in and check it out.
Standing at the balcony, back facing him, was a familiar figure. That grandfather pose he fell in love with was right in front of him. Of course, that ‘intruder’ also noticed something odd and turned around.
Their eyes met.
Jin stepped one foot behind as Yoongi entered the living room. It was silence. But Jin felt some hope after knowing that Yoongi actually came here.
“So…” Jin uttered, “you still remembered this place.”
“Ne, of course, it’s my house.”
“And do you remember what happened in this house?”
“Hey, I did not suffer from memory loss.”
“Then why are you acting like a totally different person after you came back from god knows where?”
“I just got some things settled and realised that I don’t need you anymore.”
“This is insane.”
“It’s just the truth and all you need to do is to accept it.”
“Can you…at least…tell me what happened these two years? for such drastic changes to take place…”
“My appa sent me to England to study, so that I could take over his business.”
“But why did you leave without a word?”
“Because I want to.”
After saying that, Yoongi immediately turned his head away and attempted to avoid the intensive stare Jin was giving him.
Jin could not believe his ears. That wasn’t an answer Yoongi would give. Tears came back to his eyes but he ain’t giving up. He approached Yoongi and grabbed his shoulders.
“Seriously…what happened to you? You changed, a lot.”
“Stop acting like you know me well. Because you don’t. I did not change at all.”
“I don’t believe. Where’s the Yoongi that promise me to love me forever? Where’s the Yoongi that promise to never let me cry? Where’s the Yoongi that cares about others and would not let people worry about him?”
“He’s gone! Forever!” he finally flared, but it did not scare Jin away. “Stop finding that ‘old Yoongi’, he’s never coming back! I don’t love you anymore, so just give up. Forget about me and find another guy who loves you more than I did. I’m gonna lead a new life and so should you. Let everything between us become memories and stop being so obsessed about me!”
“I don’t believe you. You’re just pretending. You still love me don’t you? You still cherish the times we spent in this house right? Or else, you wouldn’t have come here.”
“I came here because it’s my house. You’re the one who is invading my house!”
“Stop shooing me away Yoongi, it’s not gonna help. Just tell me honestly why did you become like that.”
“Stop being such a pest!”
“I know we can return to the good times. When we spend ever weekends on bed, spending every moment together, sharing about our dreams and worries.”
Yoongi tried to look away and stop Jin from this interrogation but it was to no avail. Jin was so persistent, and Yoongi could not control anymore.
“Come back Yoongi, the Yoongi who loves me,” Jin cried, “if you need some time, tell me. If you don’t want to tell the others about our relationship like before, tell me, I won’t mind. Stop chasing me away…just let me be by your side…please…”
Yoongi looked at his hyung in silence. Tears were forming in his eyes too, but he was trying to stop it from flowing out with all his might.
“Fine,” he said coldly, “since you want me so much, fine, I shall grant you your wish.”
Within a second, Yoongi threw the older one on the sofa and got top on of him, attacking his face with rough kisses. Jin was shocked by his action of course, forcefully trying to push him away, but he couldn’t.
“Stop!” Jin shouted, “hajima!”
Yoongi did not care, instead, he used this opportunity to extend his tongue to his mouth. It was their first kiss after two years but this wasn’t what Jin expected. Tears rolled down from Jin’s eyes and he continued to struggle.
“Stop it!!” Jin yelled at the top of his lungs. And it worked, probably?
Yoongi indeed stopped, but not getting away from that position. “Isn’t this what you want?” he asked, still with that emotionless face.
“I…I…”
The room went silent again, for quite sometime. Jin was trembling in fear and he just can’t grasp the situation.
Not bothered to hear a reply, Suga pulled the older one into the master bedroom and threw him on the bed. He removed his shirt in no time, crawling above Jin.
Jin took a deep breath, giving his brain some oxygen to get things straight and calm himself down.
“I still love you Yoongi…” he uttered under his breath.
“Don’t…don’t say that…”
For a tiny second, Jin saw some love emitting from Yoongi’s eyes. He wasn’t that heartless after all. Pinning his hyung on the bed, he continued planting kisses around Jin’s face and neck messily.
Jin do not have a thing for rough kisses. He resisted a little but Yoongi had had his hands pinned above his head.
“Please come back to my side,” Jin thought to himself before closing his eyes and relax.
Instead of struggling just now, Jin did the otherwise. He laid there obediently and let Yoongi do his thing.
The change in Jin’s change also caused Yoongi to change, 180 degrees change, to Jin’s surprise.
“Don’t ever say you love me again hyung…” Yoongi whispered.
The messy and impatient kisses turned into soft and passionate ones. The slow french kiss they shared felt so good, a feeling he missed dearly.
Jin’s lips curved slightly upwards as he hooked his arms around the younger one. For once, he felt that the Yoongi he knew is finally back, in his embrace. He did not want to stop to confront him; all he wanted to do…is to enjoy this moment.
The sun had long set and Yoongi woke up from his sleep. Lying on his arm was naked Jin, still asleep. He looked at the clock, and it was 3 am. He recalled what happened few hours ago and sighed. Yoongi thought he could successfully meet Jin again without feeling a thing for him. He thought he could ignore the fact that Jin is heartbroken after knowing that Yoongi doesn’t want to have any ties with him anymore. He thought he could control himself and continue acting like he was just toying with Jin’s feelings.
But in reality, he couldn’t.
He did not tell Jin that he too, cried after witnessing how Jin ran out of his office with a shattered heart. He did not tell Jin that he too, was in pain after knowing that they can’t be together. He did not tell Jin that he still, loves him a lot. And what he thought was best for his hyung, was to act like he was just playing with him, instead of telling him the truth as to why he left two years ago.
Yoongi stared at his hyung lovingly and forced out a smile.
“I’m sorry and…forgive me,” he whispered before placing a soft peck on Jin’s forehead.
Quietly, he got off the bed and wore back his clothes. Taking one last look at Jin, who was peacefully asleep, he sighed before taking out a ring from his pocket and inset it into his fourth finger.
“I believe…you will find someone much better than me, annyeong,” he held back his tears and said, putting the ring back onto his ring finger.
It was the last time Yoongi could ever touch Jin again, kiss Jin again and love Jin as much as he do right now again. Because after that night, Yoongi would return to his identity as someone’s husband.
