— My babies! — Sooho ran to the door once they both got off the motorcycle and he helped the girl take off her helmet.

When the two large dogs saw him, they both ran towards him, throwing themselves without thinking at him, Nala began to lick his face, making him laugh with joy while Jax admired him from the side, wagging his tail, happy to see his father there after weeks.

— Apparently Nala missed you a lot.

— And I missed my princess, very, very, very much. — He stroked her fur with a smile before getting up, stroking Jax’s head as well, greeting him affectionately as he caressed his leg with his face.

— Come on, inside, it’s time to eat. — Sooho heard Hyeori, the boy looked at the two animals before the three ran inside the house with joy.

They loved food, no doubt.

Hyeori was cooking the seaweed soup that Sooho loved so much while the boy was in charge of feeding and giving the two dogs their medications. The girl knew that if he had not appeared yet it was because he was thinking about whether it was a good idea to give them the medication or not.

According to him, it was as if he was drugging his children.

The boy’s footsteps were heard, he smiled when he saw the girl tasting the soup before closing the lid and turning off the stove, turning around, she smiled when she saw her boyfriend standing there, stretching her arms, she gave the signal to the boy to come closer. He ran towards her, wrapping his arms around the girl’s waist, hugging her and lifting her up a little, she wrapped her arms around her neck, hugging him tightly.

Sooho sighed, as if he felt relieved, leaving a long kiss on her cheek, he looked at the girl, who caressed his face lovingly while looking into his eyes. – Have you heard the story of the tears of the sun?

— The tears of the sun? — The girl said with confusion, smiling before shaking her head softly. The boy nodded, making her wrap her legs around his hips. — It’s a sad story?

— Do you want me to tell you? — The boy said in a soft voice, moving a little, as if he were lulling the girl in his arms, she nodded, the boy imitated her act before approaching, leaving a sweet kiss on her lips before separating and smiling at her. — I can’t talk that much on an empty stomach.

— Yah, idiot. — The girl gently pushed his forehead before laughing, he imitated her, leaving a kiss on her cheek before putting her down.

— I’ll look for the dishes. — he said, placing a kiss on the girl’s head before running to the shelf in search of dishes so they could both have their lunch.

The couple had finished eating, as well as the two dogs, now the group was lying on the girl’s bed, the dogs lying at the couple’s feet, who were hugging in the middle of the large mattress.

— Soo… — The girl called, and the boy looked at her immediately, he caressed her hair while looking into her pretty eyes. — You didn’t tell me the story of the tears of the sun. — The girl said and that made Sooho smile, he nodded, settling down on the bed.

— Fine, I’ll tell you, but give me a kiss first. — The boy stretched out his lips, Hyeori stretched out a little, leaving a sweet kiss on his lips before settling back into his chest. — You know the story of the moon and the sun, right? — The girl nodded, admiring his face as he spoke. — Well, they say that when the sun had to move away from the moon, it felt so sad that it made it want to cry enormously, but being the strongest planet, it was not allowed to do so, until the eclipse arrived, when the moon and the sun met again, the sun felt so happy, but it knew that that happiness would not last forever, both were going to have to separate again, and there, with the company of the moon, the sun let out two thick tears, showing all it sadness and pain for having to let go of its great love… — He said before seeing his girlfriend’s beautiful eyes, caressing her cheek, he did not take his eyes off to tell the next part. — But the story goes that those two tears would form other beautiful suns, which would find the tears that the moon secretly released when its lover was not in sight.

— And it found them?

— I don’t know, what I do know for sure is that those beautiful suns did form. — The girl looked at Sooho with such a clear shine in her eyes that they made them look a lighter, almost orange, color.

— And how do you know that?

— Because I am lucky to see them every day. — This one said softly, staring into his girlfriend’s eyes with a silly smile. — Your eyes are those thick tears that the sun shed, hoping one day to find the moon’s.

Hyeori’s eyes threatened to fill with tears as she listened to the story he had told so gently, her heart hurt for a second, not caring about the position they would be in, the girl rushed towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck, sitting on him while she spread kisses all over his face and he let out tender laughter as he felt tickled by the pleasant sensation that the girl’s lips left on his skin.

Hyeori’s face turned away from him, looking into his chocolate-colored eyes fondly, a shine that both reflected in their gazes. — I think the sun did a good job.

— Yes, your eyes are beautiful.

Hyeori laughed, and shook her head, bringing her face closer to his, she left a long kiss on his lips, Sooho raised his hands, putting them on the girl’s waist, caressing her gently before squeezing her a little and bringing her closer to him, Hyeori pulled away for a moment, looking into the boy’s eyes. — The sun did a good job, because found the moon again… I found the moon in your eyes, Sooho-yah.

The boy looked at her, feeling his heart racing uncontrollably, his hands began to shake and his eyes began to water, closing his eyes tightly, Hyeori made a face of tenderness seeing him that way.

Sooho was the more sensitive of the two, that’s why Hyeori’s heart hurt when those kinds of comments came out, she didn’t like seeing Sooho cry. — No, baby, don’t cry.

The boy denied, hiding his head in her chest, staying there for a moment, he let out a few small sobs while Hyeori whispered words to reassure him and he caressed her waist gently. — Thank you so much, love… — Sooho said suddenly, with a voice somewhat hoarse from crying. — Thank you for deciding to stay by my side for another year, I promise to do everything possible so that you decide to stay for many more.

— And I promise to stay by your side for many more years, my little Soo, my little Moon… — She told him, leaving a kiss on his red nose. — I love you, Soo.

— I love you, Hyeo… My little Sun.

The weekend passed quickly, with Sooho at work and visiting Hyeori in the mornings, as he always does before going to work, Monday came again, with that, the same routine of teenagers. — Good morning, Sieun. — The girl said as she entered the room, she knew that he was not going to answer her, so she simply walked to her usual seat, smiling when she saw her boyfriend lying on three tables, leaving her things on the chair, the girl walked towards him, removing the blanket from his face before caressing him and removing his hair off his face.

The boy moved, opening his eyes before smiling with joy when he saw his girlfriend’s pretty eyes in front of him, wrapping his arm around her waist, careful not to hit her against the edge of the tables. — Good morning… Did you arrive early?

— I just arrived, sorry, I woke you up

The boy nodded before brushing a strand of hair behind the girl’s ear, smiling when he saw how it didn’t stay in place. — If it’s to see you, I don’t mind not closing my eyes all day.

Hyeori laughed before placing a kiss on his cheek and walking to her table, gently taking the boy’s freshly ironed shirt before stretching it towards him.

Hyeori knew that the boy barely came to school to sleep, he carried all his notebooks in his backpack every day because he knew that if he left them at home, he might forget them or not have time to go pick them up, and he also knew that his grandmother was not in a condition to be able to do chores or even help him wash his school clothes, so Hyeori had offered to do it and had them ironed for him, of course that was when the boy urgently asked for it, which was not more than once in a while, because he didn’t like to ask the girl for that kind of thing, although she would be happy to do it.

— It smells different. — The boy said once he put on his shirt, already standing in front of his girlfriend, who was fixing his collar.

— The fabric softener ran out, I had to use the emergency one. — Hyeori murmured, watching Sooho smile and nod before looking at her lips and running his tongue over his. — Want something?

— Yes, wait… Just… I’ll be right back, don’t move. — The boy said before taking the toothbrush in his hands and running quickly out of the room, Hyeori blackly shook her head with a smile before sitting in her chair, taking out her cell phone to text to her mother, asking her how she was, thus leaving her conscience clear and fulfilling her daily message to her mother.

The door to the classroom opened abruptly, making the two people in the room look at it immediately, Sieun with disinterest and Hyeori with a frown, which was erased when she saw Sooho running towards her, laughing at knowing what he was doing.

Like any other morning.

Hyeori was laughing at the nonsense that Sooho was saying, both of them were sitting in the stands after having run the laps dictated by the sports teacher.

Hyeori wasn’t the most athletic girl, but she had to live up to what the teacher said, so having Sooho with her helped her, mostly because of the encouragement he gave her every time he ran past her. —The teacher told me that I would be good at sports in college.

— It’s an incredible option, yes — The girl said, looking at him, she knew how difficult it would be for him to attend a university and how great the probability was that he wouldn’t. —Will you think about it?

— How expensive do you think a sports degree is at a Canadian university?

Hyeori made a sad smile and shrugged, although she didn’t really know, tying her sneakers before looking him in the eyes. — I don’t think I can get in anyway.

— Of course you can… You have helped me study all these years, and I know that, if you want to study, you could easily get a scholarship. — Sooho grimaced, he really wasn’t very sure of himself when it came to studies, of course he knew that he could manage to get one if he put his mind to it, but he really wasn’t sure if his brain really would like to help him with that. —…What do you think of the Olympics? Mr. Lee proposed it to you, did you think about it? — The girl asked, bending her legs and resting her face on her knees.

— The Olympics means traveling, with money I don’t have, but that’s the least of it, the Olympics means less time with you, Hyeori, I won’t go to the Olympics, that’s my final word. — The girl looked at him, knowing how stubborn he was, she would go to university, she had it planned, of course, but she didn’t want him to be left out of that experience.

— Don’t you forget something?

Sooho looked at her immediately, narrowing his eyes, searching for any sign of discomfort or something in the girl. — Our anniversary was on Saturday, your birthday is in May, we are going to visit your father-side grandparents’ grave on July 27 and December 23… — Sooho raised his eyebrows at the girl when he heard her laugh a little. — I forgot something?

— I’m not talking about dates, Soo… I’m talking about the fact that I’m going to go to university and I don’t want you to continue with your jobs that consume your life, listen, I’m not saying that you should quit, I know that they allow you to help at home, You help your grandma, but… You know that we won’t be able to be together all the time, right? And I really want you to have a healthy and… Happy life.

— I’m happy, I have you with me and that’s the only thing that matters to me, besides, you know why I got two jobs, I have a plan. Don’t worry about me, you continue with your studies, I will be there to support you and help you whenever and wherever I can, okay? — The boy caressed his girlfriend’s hair who sighed and nodded before turning her eyes to the field again, listening how the others laughed at Sieun, who was barely halfway there.

Sooho sighed, looking suspiciously at the boys in the place, taking one of his sneakers, throwing it at the boy who was making fun of his classmate’s way of running, making everyone stay silent, Hyeori watched the scene while taking a sip of her water bottle. — Bring it to me. —The tallest one said, motioning to the other to bring him the object that hit his head.

The boy looked at him for a second before walking towards him, carrying the shoe with him, standing in front of the couple, who looked at him boredly. — What’s your name?

The boy’s eyes collided with Hyeori’s, who raised an eyebrow before diverting her gaze to look at Sieun, who was still running on the court, thinking that he really had to start improving his stamina, she was lazy, but she liked to go for a walk or run from time to time, but the boy seemed like he would have a heart attack at any moment and that worried her a little.

Hyeori shifted her gaze to the boy next to her as she watched the other walk away, smiling at him, she liked it when he was like that with people who seemed weaker than him, Sooho, despite his reputation as “the boy who can send you to the hospital with a kick”, he was quite friendly and a good person with others, unless they do not want to be treated with respect.

He was a boy whose motto was “treat how you want to be treated” but when people didn’t want or show that they don’t deserved respect, he simply didn’t give it to them. Maybe that was why the older people loved the boy so much, Hyeori used to call him the grandpas’ hero, because despite having almost no time for himself, he was always doing a good deed, whether it was on the way to his work, during it, or even when he went back to school to sleep, he always found something that could classify him as a boy who deserved respect for having it towards others.

Hyeori looked at Sooho, holding out her hand for him to take it, which he did, intertwining their fingers at the end, pulling the girl closer to him, putting his arm around her shoulders, this sigh, relaxing next to the girl on those hard, but cool, steps while they both watched Sieun run, or rather jog, slowly — I’m improving my aim, see?
