She is such a clumsy girl.
Now Miss Ruh had accidentally turned the tap too far, causing the water to spray out and soak me completely.
Eww yrr it feels sticky.
“You know jabse tum meri life me aai ho my life SUCKS,” i said.
(You know, ever since you came into my life, my life sucks)
“Hnn toh tumhare aane se meri life me konse sadabahar khil gaye hai, even my life after meeting you SUCKS,” she replied back with the same intensity.
(Oh yeah? Like my life has been all sunshine and rainbows since you showed up! Even my life after meeting you sucks)
She flipped her hair over my shoulder and stormed off.
I am telling you she doesn’t know how to walk always falling here and there.
Wait she didn’t say sorry to me…she makes my shirt wet, she spilled the juice and didn’t say sorry.
Just wait and watch I’ll make her say sorry.
I was just looking at her direction when she again bumped with a guy.
Without even looking up, she mumbled, “I’m sorry, bhaiya,” and ran to classroom.
“Bhaiya bol diya,” that guy sadly murmmered.
(She said brother)
Ye alag hi dukh hai.
(This is another kind of stress )
Wait.
Thank God she didn’t say me bhaiya.
I corrected my collar proudly and move forward to my class.
That poor guy is still traumatized that she calls him bhaiya….kya kr skte hain. Huh.
(Now what we can do)
I entered class while the chemistry teacher or may I say my mom glared me. I smiled and walked back to the door then asked, “Mam, May I come in?”
“Yes, and what happened to you?”, she asked looking at my condition.
“Mam garmi bahut thi so I took a quick shower”, I replied tightly smiling while looking at Ruh.
(Mam it was too hot outside)
“Okay now please quickly sit”
“Yes Mam”
I quickly walked to my seat and sat on the corner.
“Kis baat ki sharam se tu pani me doob kr aaya hai,” Sid asked wiggling his eyebrows.
(Because of what shame have you drowned in water?)
“Nhi, Sid ye sharam se nhi infact kisi ki wjh se doob kr aaya hai,” Yash smirked looking at me.
(No, sid, it is not because of shame, it is because of someone that he has come drowning into water)
Now what does he mean.
“What do you mean?”
“I have seen the live telecast,” Yash replied while excitingly clapping his hands causing everyone’s attention
“Last bench stop talking otherwise I’ll throw you out…so where were we”
“Which live telecast Yash?,” Sid whispered to him.
“Ahh ek hasina thi ek deewana tha dono mile aur pani me doob gaye,” he sings while exaggerating every word.
(Ahh, one was beautiful and one was crazy, both met and drowned in water)
Aur ye ladka bahut hi besura gata hai.
(And this boy sings very badly)
“Who I didn’t understand?” Sid asked.
“Yash bekar ki baatein mat kr and you for your kind information teacher is watching you, so act like you are studying otherwise get ready for chemistry Rapid fire”, I said both of them and for now Yash got silent but I know he will definitely tease me hell out.
(Yash stop talking nonsense)
Ugh, why is this lecture so boring today? Honestly, I can’t focus on studying, especially when it’s inorganic chemistry. It feels like I will sleep in a few seconds.
I looked around the room, and my eyes landed on Ruh. She seemed so focused, not at all like she’s about to doze off.
I rested my chin on my hands and couldn’t help but admire her. The way she pouts and flips her pen, she’s just too cute. I tried pen flipping, but I failed miserably every time.
But her hazel eyes are just mesmerizing, I can’t stop looking at them. They hold so much innocence that I feel like I need to protect them.
I was lost in my thoughts when she caught me staring, raised her eyebrows, for a moment we both shared eye contact but I looked away.
Damn, I realized I was being stupid as my hands just dropped and smacked the table…ouch, that hurt.
She was still looking at me, but shook her head, and started to focus on the lecture.
‘To hell with you, Vihaan…idiot, why were you staring at her like a creep?’ I thought.
‘No, the main point is she caught me staring, she’ll think I’m a creep. Gosh, this is so embarrassing,’ I mentally cried.
‘By the way you weren’t staring, you were admiring her, right?’ my subconscious chimed in.
‘Huh why would I start admiring her? Besides, she’s my rival, I don’t admire my rivals.’, I replied confidently.
‘Yeah, whatever helps you sleep,’ my stupid subconscious mocked me once again.
“Vihaan…?”
“Huh?”
“I’ve been calling you for the last four minutes, where were you?”
‘He’s lost in his Ruh‘s thoughts,’ my stupid subconscious chimed in again.
“Are the walls more interesting than the lectures?”
“It’s not like that, ma’am,” I replied, lowering my head.
But this time it’s not other teacher but it’s my own mom. Ab tu gaya Vihaan. She hates when someone doesn’t study seriously.
“So, tell me the question no. 25 in your textbook?” Mom asked, and I couldn’t figure out the answer this time.
Just as I was about to try, the bell rang. I’ve never been happier about a school bell ringing, to be honest.
“Okay, I’ll test you on these questions next class, so make sure to practice,” mom said before leaving the room.
I sighed and sat back down. But then I realized these two goofballs were staring at me with a puzzled look.
“Don’t you think you’re acting weirder every day?” Yash said, with Sid nodding in agreement.
“Weird? Nah,” I replied.
“Waise Vihaan tune kabse diwaaron ko or to be exact logo ko ghoorna start kr dia,” Yash teased, while Sid looked at us in confusion.
(By the way, Vihaan, since when did you start staring at walls, or people, to be more specific)
“Ye tum dono ka ishaaro…ishaaro me flirting ho gayi ho toh koi muje bataaye,” Sid whined, resting his head on the table.
(If you guys are secretly flirting through gestures, someone please tell me what’s going on, because I’m confused)
“I’ll fill you in after school,” Yash said with a wink.
Ab ye apni alag script sunayega.
.
.
.
Huh… finally today’s day over dealing with those two clowns. Yash finally spilled the beans to Sid and now they’re just messing with me.
“You know what, both of you can go to hell, I’m out.”
Of course, they found it hilarious, but I’m embarrassed.
I stormed out to avoid their teasing heading towards the school gate only to bump into Ruh, who surprisingly hadn’t left yet.
As I was about to leave, a kid tripped and hurt his leg on a bench, leading to tears.
Just as I was about to help, Ruh reached the child and helped him
“Are you okay, baccha? Did you hurt yourself anywhere?”she asked and ran the dust from his clothes, while my attention shifted to the little one who was now grinning.
Wait, wasn’t he the one who was crying just now?
“Come on, give me a beautiful smile now,” she told the kid, and as she stood up to leave, the little chutku grabbed her hand.
How dare that Chutku to hold her hand!
“What happened, baccha?” she asked, to which he replied, “Your shoelace is untied.”
“Aw, thanks!” she said while she was tying her shoelace, meanwhile that chutku just couldn’t stop smiling and kissed her cheeks.
What the heck! How dare he!
I looked at him shocked.
The kid replied, “Thank you for helping me… you’re very pretty, you know. When I grow up, I’ll marry you.”
“Aww, you’re so cute,” she replied, ruffling his hair and planting a kiss on his cheek, making the chutku smile brightly.
As she stopped and headed back towards the school gate, she waved at the kid who put his hands on his cheeks, smiling foolishly.
Just as he was leaving, I called out to him, “You little Chutku!”
But he didn’t stop.
‘tch tch Vihaan bacche se beizzati krwali‘, my mind mocked me.
(Tch, tch, Vihaan that kid totally insulted you)
I walked up to him and stood in front of him.
He looked at me with fear in his eyes.
“You Chutku listen to me”
“Yes, bhaiya” he said, looking down.
“What class are you in?” I asked while tapping my foot.
After some thought, he held up one finger and replied, “First grade.”
‘Huh theek se zameen se uge bhi nhi aur shaadi krni hai inhe’
(He didn’t even grow properly yet, and you want to get married)
“Do you like chocolates?” I asked, and he nodded.
Hushh!!! I already knew the answer.
You are smart Vihaan.
“I’ll give you chocolates, but on one condition – you have to agree with me”
His eyes are sparkling and he quickly nodded.
“Okay, listen up chutku, you are not going to marry her,” I said, pointing at Ruh.
“Why?”,he asked sadly.
“Because…. because she’s… umm… because she’s old,” I said, and he chuckled.
“So what?, if I eat vegetables, I will grow up fast and then I can marry her?” he replied, crossing his arms.
Kids these days, I tell you.
Calm down Vihaan, he is a kid.
“Hmm, but by the time you grow up, she will also be grown up and may look like an old aunty,” I said, making a sad face, which made the kid look like he might cry.
“Heyy chutku, don’t cry, not everyone gets everything, okay? Look over there,” I said, pointing to a girl with two braids.
From the classroom where she came I think she is in kindergarten.
“She is pretty,” I said, and the kid nodded.
“You can marry her when you grow up,” I said, and after a moment of thought, he smiled immediately.
“Yes,” he replied.
Well done, Vihaan.
I am proud of you!!!
I stand up when suddenly his little hands grip my leg.
“Kya hua?”, i asked.
(What happened?)
“Bhaiya Chocolate to dete jaao,” he said with a pout.
(Bro, at least give me my chocolate)
“Ahh, take it.”
I handed him a chocolate and was about to leave when he held me again.
“Apki dusri pocket me ek badi chocolate hai woh bhi dijiye, mene aapki baat mani na, I am good boy,” he said, pointing to my second pocket.
(There’s a big chocolate in your other pocket, give that one too. I did follow your advice, I’m a good boy)
Cheel ki nazar hai bhai.
(This little one has an eye of Eagle)
“Take it”,I gave him the chocolates.
“Thank you bhaiya, ab me uss pretty girl ko plorose krunga to marry me,” he said, flashing his toothless smile.
(Thank you, bhaiya. Now I’ll propose that girl with these chocolates to marry me)
“Ahh, you mean propose?”
“Hnn whi whi,” he said, still grinning and walked towards the girl.
(Yeah, that’s the one)
I shook my head. Kids these days are smarter than us.
But the main thing is Vihu’s mission completed, one wicket down.
Proud of you, I patted myself on the back and glanced back, only to find two pairs of eyes watching me with a teasing look.
Shuut, I forced a smile, and they mimicked me.
“What was that?” Sid asked, raising his eyebrows.
“Oh, nothing,” I replied casually.
“We both live and witnessed it, so why are you bribing that kid?” Yash said, folding his arms.
“Ah, I was just trying to help that kid out. He dreams of marrying Ruhanika, you know she knows black magic, so I just want a happy future for that cute chutku,” I said casually, shrugging my shoulders, even though I know my excuse was pretty lame.
“Daal me kuch kaala hai,” Yash said, wiggling his eyes.
(Something fishy is going on)
“Daal me kuch, me toh keh rha hu puri daal hi kaali hai,” Sid added, putting his hand on his forehead.
(There’s definitely something fishy, I tell you every single inch is fishy)
“Toh daal mat khaao, simple…..okay I am getting late bye,” I replied simply, starting to walk away quickly.
(Well then don’t eat the fish, simple… I gotta run, bye!)
I could tell from their smiles that they were up to something, probably planning a whole scheme.
While walking, my eyes caught Ruh talking to Tanya.
She waved and started walking, so I picked up my pace and started walking beside her.
She scrunched her nose and took out a page from her bag and started reading.
Did she ignored me?
