Chapter 7 – Meetings
Trent’s POV
I couldn’t help but smile as his dad threatened me. Weird I know. I was more than happy that Ky’s father had given us his blessing. I was ecstatic. I was also a bit sad. I wished that my own father accepted my mate and me. I explained to Miles, Ky’s dad, about my dad’s rejection of us. He frowned when I said this.
“No father should ever abandon their son like that. I am truly sorry.” He was sorry? Wow Miles definitely wasn’t who I was expecting. I thought he’d be a hard ass, but no. He just really wants to protect his son, his whole wide world. And so did I. He was my world now too. “Well since, you’ve been kicked out, I guess you need a place to stay then.” I grew excited at this notion. I get to stay with my Ky. That came crashing down as fast as it came up. “BUT…you will stay in separate rooms. Ky is still my son and you are still a boy…and we both know what boys want. Especially a teenage werewolf.”
“Dad!” Ky blushed after hearing this. I couldn’t help but smirk looking at my mate as he got tomato red at his father’s insinuations. “That’s so embarrassing!”
I chuckled. “Don’t worry sir. I promise you I won’t do anything that Ky isn’t ready for. He’s my world and I promise I will do everything to make him happy.” I could hear Ky’s heart beat get faster as I said this. I didn’t know it was possible, but he got even redder.
“All right you guys have school in a bit. You better get ready and come down to have breakfast. I’ll tell the group about you guys when you come join us.”
After we say our goodbyes to Miles and Ky giving another big hug to his father, we left his office and went back to his room. “I can’t believe that just happened. I was expecting something…”
“A lot worse?” I interjected. I was remembering how my father reacted and it didn’t make me happy at all. Ky noticed my sadness. He cupped my face in his hand and brought our foreheads together.
“No matter what happens, I will always stay your side. Count on that Trent.” I smiled as he said this. I didn’t care anymore that my father didn’t accept us. The only thing that mattered was that my mate did. He was my world now and he was the only thing that mattered. We stayed like this for what seemed like hours. It was him that broke our trance. “Come on, Trent, we have to get ready.”
“Ok darling.” I loved calling him that. He was my darling. After we got dressed, brushed our teeth, and grabbed our bookbag, he led me downstairs to what I gathered was the dining area. There were people already there. I recognized Talia and I’m assuming her parents. There were Miles and three other people. The two guys were joking around and the girl just ate her breakfast in silence. When they saw me they all stopped what they were doing and stared.
“All right everyone, there’s someone I want you to meet. This here is Trent DeSotto…of the DeSotto pack.”
“What?!” I heard one of the guys yelling. “What the hell is he doing here?”
“We need to kill him!” The guy next to him exclained. I pushed Ky behind me and got into an attack stance. If they thought I wouldn’t go down fighting their mistaken.
“STOP!” Miles bellowed out so loud that the women flinched in surprise. “I know what you guys are thinking but let me explain. Trent is Ky’s mate. And I made a promise long ago that I would never kill anyone’s mate. No one deserves to lose a loved one…not even weres.”
“Try telling that to them when they killed my husband, Miles!” the first guy shouted.
“You know they were rouges Roger. It wasn’t a were from a pack! You know this! I know you want revenge but I also know that you aren’t heartless. CALM.DOWN!” Miles stressed those last two words not just to him, but to everyone. Finally Roger, the guy Miles was addressing, sat back down and went back to his breakfast. “Now please everyone sit down. I know it’s a lot to handle but I need everyone to calm down and think rationally. We’ve lost loved ones. We are hunters and human beings with compassion and I refuse to believe that any single one of you is a cold blooded murder who would kill just because they are werewolfs. We’ve established in the beginning that this group would only kill to protect. And Trent doesn’t exhibit any harm to my son OR this family.”
Everyone seemed to relax by now, but eyeing Roger, he still seemed to be furious. I ignored it…for now. School went along as usual…except by now everyone in the pack knows that I’m not part of the pack anymore and of course my dad told everyone to avoid me like the bubonic plaque. Only Nick, Teresa and Tyler stuck by my side. I was really grateful that they were still by my side.
“How is everyone?” I asked my sister.
“Mom is a mess. She won’t stop crying and she stays copped up in her room. She won’t talk to my dad or anyone.” I felt bad for my mom. She didn’t deserve the sadness I had brought with my revelation. But I can’t help it, it’s my dad who messed up.
“Dad isn’t faring well either. He’s sad because mom’s sad and he’s sad because he just lost a son…overall everyone’s sad. Even the plants are sad.” I snickered at my brother’s comment. I knew he was trying to lighten the mood.
“On a lighter note, could we maybe meet your mate now?! I’ve been dying to ever since that day at the park.” Nick was jumping up and down now. Which was weird because he never acted like this. He acted like he just met his…mate?!
“Dude! He’s my mate. BACK OFF!!!” I growled at him when I said this.
“It’s not him dude! Chill! I don’t know why but I’ve just been really antsy lately. I think my mate is close. I just don’t know who it is. It’s not my 18th birthday yet, but I’ve heard about wolfs finding their mates sooner.”
“Ok I guess we can start looking for her after I introduce you guys to Ky and Talia.
“Who’s Talia?” It was my sister this time that interjected.
“She’s Ky’s best friend.”
We all decided to meet up for lunch. I was going to bring Ky and Talia and then we can have a proper introduction.
The morning hours droned on. Ky and I didn’t have any classes together which bugged the hell out of me. I found my mate and now I can’t even see him?! I looked at the second hand on the clock and I swear to God it actually went backwards. GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
After what seemed like an eternity it finally signaled for lunch. I jumped out of my seat so fast and bolted for the door. I sniffed the air for his scent and there he was standing at his locker. He looked so beautiful. His jean pants caressing every part of his legs and perfect little ass just right. He was wearing a dark graphic T that lifted up revealing a little skin when he got up to reach the top of his locker. My mouth watered at the sight. I licked my lips and my pants were getting a little tighter. Just seeing him like that made me want to jump him, man I better be careful when I finally get him in all his naked glory.
I crept up to him and hugged his waste. I kissed him on his neck and he let out a soft moan. “I’ve missed you darling.”
“Hmm, Trent stop. People are watching.”
“I could care less, darling.” It was true. I could care less. I heard gasps and snickers from people watching us but I didn’t care. It was killing the mood though so I let go of Ky, turned around to face the student body and shouted, “yes! I’m gay and whipped by Ky Ashford. Go ahead spread the rumor. I’m gay! And if any of you gives me or my boyfriend a hard time about it, I swear to god my face will be the last thing that you will ever see again.” I saw mouths drops and it got silent, I swear you could hear crickets. I turned around to meet with his glowing orbs that pierced deep into my soul.
He let out a soft chuckle,” boyfriend?”
“Yes darling. Boyfriend.” I grinned and kissed him softly on the lips.
“But we haven’t even gone on a date yet. What makes you think I’ll even take you as a boyfriend Trent DeSotto,” he winked at the question. I whined and gave him my biggest puppy dog eyes.
“Hahahaha, oh my god I was right you are a big baby. I can’t believe it!”
“When it comes to you darling, I am puddy in your hands.” He grinned from ear to ear and I couldn’t help but smile back. “Come on, there are people that want to meet you and Talia.”
“Ok, let me get Talia and I’ll meet you by the tree ok?”
“Ok.” I gave him one kiss and when he turned around I gave him a nice slap on his ass. He yelped and growled at me. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh come on, you can’t expect me to not do that. Your ass is perfect.” He blushed and quickly ran. He was so red right now. I loved that I did that to him.
I made my way to my siblings and Nick and we all headed to the tree where Ky and I had out first lunch together. We waited for about 5 minutes, until I caught sight of him and Talia. Before I could say anything else, I heard a growl next to me and to my surprise it was Nick. His eyes had turned yellow and he growled something that if it wasn’t for my wolf hearing I wouldn’t have heard.
“MATE!”
