{{so idk but this is my first tadashi X reader so apparently you’re meeting Tadashi’s friends after you two have been dating for about a month. HEADS UP TO THE BOYS WHO LOVE HIM. THIS IS FOR YOU. “C’mon!!” He pulled you towards the large building you’ve been in between a few and a billion times before.
“Tadashi,” You moaned at the older boy, not exactly going with him or going away. “No excuses. C’mon, it’s not like they’re going to hate you. They’re going to like you!” He pulled your forearm harder, lunging towards the lab.
You were scared, not sure if he had told anyone there he was…you know…like you. Your parents didn’t know. Your “friends” didn’t know. Your siblings didn’t know. Now or never, you thought, going to the lab with Tadashi willingly.
He still wouldn’t let go of your forearm, making you blush the whole way. Without partially dragging your body, the whole walk went faster.
Finally getting the lab, he walked behind you and introduced to a tall girl, with long blonde hair. She was supermodel skinny, but her eyes were too bright to do what they do to keep small. “{name}, meet Honey Lemon. Honey Lemon, this is my boyfriend.”
“HAI!! Nice to meet you!! I’ve heard so much about you!!”
“Uh–hi.” You managed to get out, already flustered.
She waved her hand enthusiastically, her pink glasses getting pretty close to your head. Well, actually taller, but you get the idea. You managed to get away from her non-believing in personal space.
He walked up to a large African-American man. Are all his friends so tall…? You wondered. You already seemed pretty derpy, but you walked up to him, Tadashi basically pushing you. “Hey. You must be {name}. Nice to finally meet you.” He seemed much calmer, until you touched something and afterwards he had to apologize for “his system.”
Again, you walked over to another person. “More than Halfway done,” he whispered in your ear. You smile and try to find something to say. This one was shorter than the rest of them. The first one shorter than Tadashi. She hardly talked. She popped her gum, then went back to a 3D printer to work on a new wheel for some sort of magnetic bike.
This one, well, he was different. “Do not be alarmed, this is not my actual face or body.” So probably he was alive for comedic purposes. He took off the lizard head and held out his hand for a hand shake. “Names Fred. School mascot by day.” He spun his sign, “but by night, I am also a school mascot.” He said, making you laugh. “Oh, wait, you’re the guy he’s been talking about.” He smiled at you, probably the same as he would have if you were a girl. “You’re a lucky guy” he whispered (not very much of a whisper) in a low voice at Tadashi.
“See, it wasn’t so bad!” Tadashi shoved you, walking down the steps of the building.
“Did they know you were gay?” You said with a laugh in your voice. It didn’t really seem to bother them.
“It doesn’t really matter.”
