[trigger warning]
Y/N wasn’t the smartest person. Or most understanding, or cutest, or nicest. But that didn’t seem to bother some people, even if it made her absolutely hate herself. Maybe, just maybe, it actually made one person care about her. Most of the time though, it made her and others hate her.
Only one problem. Y/N and said person didn’t live in the same place. He lived in San Fransokyo, while she lived here, stuck in [hometown]. Not the best way to be best friends with a person. The two of you missed major events in the others life, that’s no way to live.
Tadashi was the only person who didn’t hate Y/N. Matter of fact, he loved her. Tadashi wasn’t normal either, but who was these days? So what if he went to college at 17? So what if his younger brother went with him? Since when was anyone he ever met normal…?
Y/N was a girl who had the pleasure of meeting Tadashi. Under one condition. Through multiple social media websites, like Dan and Phil. The two of you were, and have been for almost a year, to met each other.
Tadashi’s icon on the screen lit up. It was Y/N, texting him a ‘selfie’. Only this time, it wasn’t a normal photo. She had been crying, she had makeup streaming down her face, she looked as though she had been awake for weeks on end. She wore long sleeves, even though it was summer and that was completely not like her, in the past 3 years he’s known her, that was nothing like her. Something was different there, he knew it for a fact.
She was just a girl with so many problems. She met him at the price of her sanity. Y/N was dying inside not knowing the boy of her dreams. She knew it was childish and she should just ‘woman up’ and tell him. She was 16, after all. She should be able to tell him her problems. But she couldn’t. The most she could do to tell him she was having troubles was send him a picture.
He didn’t know how to sound concerned in a damn text message! He sent a “…Y/N, what’s wrong…?” knowing he was only put on this world to listen.
“stuff..I’m sorry. For existing. Don’t think I’m being rude or anything…but go to the airport.” Y/N instructed.
“Sure, but when? I think I can get out of school around 3” He said, noticing it was only 1:30. He started typing another message before–
She cut him off. “No, try to get out now. I’m not trying to be rude, but go there. There’s a reason.” Y/N typed, her eyes still wet even though the picture was from last night. She got strange looks.
He felt like an idiot. He couldn’t figure it out. “uh…sure.” he typed, just walking out of the school and getting on his morotbike. He could come back later. There was just a maximum number of hours you had to fll and he had 1.5 left. He could make it up later. He’d do anything, even something that didn’t make sense for Y/N.
Tadashi felt her warm body heat wrap around him an hour later. It seemed like a stranger to anyone else, or soem ort of military couple. But it was two people who’d met each other through social media. What a story.
“I missed you.” Y/N heard his heartbeat.
“How can you miss someone you never met?” He asked quietly, her H/C hair rubbing up against him.
“I don’t know, I’m not sure. But I did miss you.”
He waited a few seconds before letting her out of his arms. “Y/N, this wasn’t the way we planned on meeting.” He joked.
“Yes, because I can get to San Fransokyo, hide under your bed, and wait there for who knows how long until you just to happen to check.” You said jokingly.
