Jacob’s POV
“Shawn i can’t even, you’ll never guess what I got!” I said excitedly. My mom left pretty soon after she brought the car back because her friend was waiting outside to bring her back to work.
“Chicken butt?”
“No, but my mom ACTUALLY got me a car!” I said jumping in my room excited.
“That’s amazing! What type of car?”
“Its a black Jeep Wrangler, the four seated one.” I said, unsure of which type I have.
“You have a Jeep too! We both have matching cars now! Your mom has an amazing choice in cars.”
“And an amazing choice of which child to give birth too.” I said, praising myself.
“Sure, Jacob, sure.” Shawn said unconvinced. “Anyways, I have to go, I’m gonna go adventure this city for a bit, I’ll text you?”
“Yeah! Bye Shawn!” I said, he smiled and hung up the call. I sighed to myself, and closed my laptop, contemplating what to do for the next hour and a half for school to get out so Michele and I could do something, because right now, I’m bored out of my mind.
I grabbed my phone to see one message on it from Michele.
Michele Obama: Hoe, could you make me soup and bring it to me.
Me: Why would I go back to the home of the devil
Me: YOU’RE SO FUNNY TO THINK I’M GONNA GO THERE.
Michele Obama: Smh I’m not at school
Michele Obama: I’m home, I caught a fever somehow, and no symptoms showed up until today.
Me: You sick little duckling, I’ll bring you soup. Be there in 30.
I put my phone away, and put on clothes that were more appropriate for a quick trip to the store. You thought I was gonna make it? Last time I made noodles, I almost put the house on fire. Sadly, I’m not joking.
I changed into black skinny jeans and a grey sweater. I quickly grabbed my wallet which had my license, debit card, and some spare cash, before making my way into the living room to find my keys to my car on a coffee table. I grabbed the keys, and made sure I had my house keys as well because I have yet to buy a lanyard.
I made my way into the garage and got into my car, the first time I have done this, and looked around. My mom even put the remote to open the garage.
This is why I really love and appreciate my mom. She’s been sacrificing so much time and money for me, something my parents have done ever since I was like 7.
“Now Jacob, you’re licensed to drive, you just have to remember how to drive.” I said grasping the steering wheel. I grabbed the keys and put inside the ignition, turning it to turn it on.
I made sure my rear view mirror arranged perfectly, before opening the garage. I put my car on reverse, stepping on the gas slowly, trying to get used to being in a car again.
I got my license as soon as I turned 16. My mom taught me once I got my permit because she wanted me to be able to drive as soon as possible so I could make quick and fast trips to the store if we needed something and she was too tired to drive.
Once I was on the road, I closed the garage, switched gears and made my way to my work to buy some soup.

“Hey Jacob, what’re you doing here?” My coworker Maria asked.
“Just buying some soup for my friend, could I get chicken noodle soup to go please?” I asked pulling out my wallet.
“Sure thing! That’ll be $2.15” I handed her three dollars, she gave me my change which I just put it in the ‘Tips!’ jar.
Once the soup was finished, I grabbed it, making sure it wouldn’t spill before saying bye to Maria and made my way to my car.
On the way to Michele’s, I made sure the soup wouldn’t spill all over my clean car. I parked in front, putting on my safety mask to help me not get sick. I exited the car and made my way to the front door of her house holding the soup and rang her doorbell, more times than necessary.
“Oh my god just shut up!” Michele said covered in a blanket, she looked past me and saw a new car outside.
“Its my new love.” I said pushing past her to put the soup down on the table.
“Okay, explain how you got it to me, and that is very offensive because I’m not THAT sick.” Michele said, putting emphasis on that.
I explained the whole story, and she was happy for me.
“Okay, now next topic, how is your relationship with Shawn?”
“Shawn and I are friends, better watch out or he might replace you.” I said laughing.
“Ha, like you can replace me. Do you like him?”
“Well, he’s Shawn Mendes so of course I like him.” I said pulling out my phone to see a DM from Jordan and a text from Shawn.
“Like him as in, more than just a friend? He’s the only guy that has cared about you in our age.” Michele asked, looking at me.
“I don’t know. I’ve only texted and FaceTimed him after the concert.” I explained.
Would I develop feeling and would I like him? I’ve never thought about it until now. I don’t really know what liking someone feels like to be honest.
I’ve never explored into relationships because in Middle School, I was just finding out who I was sexuality wise. High School, literally everyone hates me so that’s a no. But Shawn? He’s one of the only guys to actually talk to me and not hate me or gays hopefully. I’ve seen photos of him and gay fans so he is bound to be supportive right? Plus, we don’t even know if he’s even gay, so liking him if he was straight would probably be one of the worst ideas ever.
“Anyways, I should get going. I’d rather not catch your disease and I need to catch up on Keeping Up With The Kardashians” I said standing up grabbing my two keys of importance. “Plus, I need to buy a lanyard really fast on my way home.”
“Good, I need my beauty sleep. Good luck tomorrow at school.” She said walking with me towards her door.
“Okay, bye bye now!” I said walking through the door, I heard her say goodbye and her door shut as I walked towards my car. I plan on making a quick stop to the store before heading home just to buy a lanyard.

“Shawn, you should come here and watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians with me.” I said to him over FaceTime, using my phone to text Jordan and looking up to watch the show.
“Sure thing, let me hop on my private jet.” Shawn said sarcastically.
“You can probably afford one to be honest, because Kris Jenner can.” I said looking at him through the screen.
“How rich do you think I am?” Shawn said laughing at my statement.
“I don’t know, pretty rich. You sold out MSG, which I’m proud of you for.” I said, messaging Jordan, updating him on the status on Michele, and not telling him about Shawn and I FaceTiming pretty much everyday after the concert.
“I mean, I have money.” Shawn said pulling out his phone, probably texting or Snapchatting.
“You can afford a car over $30,000 but don’t want to buy a Private Jet to visit me? Shawn, my heart is in pain.” I said looking at him, trying to have a sad face, but it isn’t really working out well.
“I love you Jacob, but I don’t love you that much.” Shawn said laughing at my reaction, “What’s with the yelling? What did Kris do this time.”
“Kris is being Kris I guess, but still offended about the Private Jet. I bet Kris would visit me.”
“Kris would be too busy dealing with Kim I think that’s her name.” Shawn said, unsure of her name, which is kind of sad.
“I hate how you don’t know her name Shawn. This friendship is over with. This friendship is nonexistent. Our friendship is just like One Direction. Finished.”
“Well I love you too Jacob.”
