This time waking up in Dom’s arms was nothing like previous occasions, this time when he kissed me I didn’t feel the same spark, and this time when he nuzzled my neck I didn’t get the same shivers. This time everything was so much better, I remembered our night it was… there are no words good enough. I would always remember this night no matter what happens in the future.
Sure it was our first time so it could have lasted longer but if that’s the only thing that could make it better, then we were off to a pretty amazing start. I curled over and slung my arm over his hips so that I could bring him closer to me then I kissed the tip of his nose, the corner of his mouth and finally his lips.
“Morning.” I smiled.
“Morning.” He replied.
“I’m still naked.” I grinned.
“You are.” He chuckled. “So am I.”
“Well how are you going to use this situation to your advantage?” I asked sniggering now.
“Oh I don’t know I am sure I can think of a few things.” He said rolling on top of me to reach my bedside table.
I laughed as he prepped his morning erection, then he launched himself at me kissing me all over. I kissed him back trying to keep the volume as low as possible in case anyone was up yet, I always locked my door but I didn’t want them to hear either.
He moved his kisses down my body and when I couldn’t take it any longer he made love to me again, it still didn’t last long but it was even better than the previous night because I could see Dom. He really was beautiful and I couldn’t help but wonder why I had not looked at him like this sooner? He had the best chocolate coloured eyes framed with gorgeous long eye lashes, his skin in contrast to my pale white skin was a crazy kind of beautiful, we’re like coffee and cream.
As he moved I smiled up at him and he smiled back and he brought his lips to mine again before rolling off and lying beside me. I turned and wrapped myself up in his arms not wanting to leave this room today, I wanted to continue making love until I literally couldn’t walk anymore.
“Don’t want to get up Domingo can we just lay here all day?” I asked.
“I can’t see why not?” He chuckled.
So we lay there undisturbed all day watching movies and making out, it was nice to be finished school and not have any exams or anything to worry about. My parents had work and Theo was with Alfie so we literally didn’t move for the rest of the day, Dom called his mum and she allowed him to stay over again saying he was old enough now, but he promised her he would be back tomorrow which made her happy.
This routine went on for the next few weeks, Dom and I would flit between his house and mine to keep our parents happy. We still made sure to include Lucas in nearly everything that we would do as he was still our best friend and in a week we would all be leaving early for Stanford University in California. So we were sitting in the park on another warm day, watching Alfie and Lucas on the skate ramp and if it was possible he had become even better in the few short weeks since graduation.
Theo was sitting to my right and he was watching Alfie on the half pipe, Sofia was nowhere in sight and I wondered if Alfie had decided to finish things with her or if she was just too busy.
“Did Alfie not want to bring Sofia along today?” I asked Dom.
“He said she was busy, but he didn’t go into much detail.” Dom answered.
“Oh it’s not like her to be away from Alfie?” I replied.
“I know, but I guess if she’s busy?” Dom shrugged.
I turned to look back at the others and I caught Theo listening to our conversation, when he noticed me he quickly looked away with a slight scowl on his face. I didn’t know what to make of that so I just tried to ignore it, I grabbed Dom’s hand and linked my fingers through his and he looked up at my confused face and smiled.
“I am sure she’s ok Charlie.” He soothed.
“It’s not that, I don’t mind that she isn’t here I was just curious.” I confirmed.
He just continued to look at me as if he knew I wasn’t telling him something, but with Theo sitting right there I couldn’t exactly tell him. I squeezed his hand to make him relax a little and his brow un-furrowed I stood up pulling him with me and gave him a hug which he laughed into.
“I’m hungry let’s go.” I said. “You coming Theo?”
“I am going to hang out here and watch Alfie a bit longer but thanks.” He replied.
I walked over to ask Lucas and he too decided to stop a bit longer and said he would be heading straight home afterwards. We waved goodbye then Dom and I walked to his house hand in hand for some food, I was so hungry now my belly was groaning away loudly and each time Domingo laughed.
When we arrived at his flat Maria was in the kitchen, she was just like my mum if she wasn’t at work she would be baking another batch of brownies or something like that. Today she was making tequila and chilli chocolate brownies, they weren’t very alcoholic it was just for flavour and they were so delicious! When Domingo pulled us into the kitchen and sat down at the small table, she turned around smiling and handed us a brownie and a glass of milk to wash it down.
“Only one boys or you will ruin your dinner.” She said.
“What we having?” Dom asked her.
“Cochinita Pibil.” She replied.
“Is that like pulled pork?” I asked.
“Si, only spicy.” She chuckled.
We went to Domingo’s room until the food was ready and we watched some TV, we lay on the bed and I couldn’t help thinking about Theo and why he seemed so upset. Domingo squeezed my hand again with the same look on his face that he wore in the park and I smiled at him and shrugged.
“I was just worried about Theo, when we were talking about Sofia he gave me a funny look and he scowled. I think he relies a lot upon Alfie’s friendship and I think that’s why we haven’t seen him break down over his brother or parents yet. Alfie is taken though and sooner or later he will go back to Sofia and I worry about how Theo will cope with that, we haven’t exactly been as welcoming as I hoped we would be, he’s never really with us.” I voiced my concerns.
“That’s because he is always with Alfie though, it’s not like we don’t try to include him. If you’re worried maybe you should go home tonight and spend some time with him before we leave?” He suggested.
“Maybe your right but it will be weird not waking up with you.” I grumbled.
“Yeah it will be weird but I think this is something you should do.” He whispered.
“Boy’s dinner is ready.” Maria called out.
“Coming.” Domingo replied.
We ate in the kitchen again and the food as always was very delicious but boy was it spicy, I think I had around three glasses of milk to cool down my mouth. You would think I would be used to it by now all the times I have eaten here but she seems to test my chilli intake each time I come. When food was over I went and watched a movie with Dom in his room again, Alfie had still not come home so I assumed that they would still be at the park. We watched the movie in comfortable silence our hands linked and our foreheads constantly touching, when it was over I kissed him for a good fifteen minutes before I unwillingly left his room and head home.
As I walked along I heard my phone beep and I smiled when he had text me saying he was missing me already, so I quickly text him back to tell him that I was missing him too. He asked me to call him once I was finished with Theo and I promised that I would, just as I put my phone away I came to my house and entered.
I went into the kitchen knowing that’s where my mum would be and I quickly kissed her in hello and asked if Theo was back. She told me he was in his room and I thanked her and ran up the stairs, when I was outside I knocked a few times then entered. He was sitting on his bed watching TV and he looked to me when I walked in, that’s when I noticed that Alfie was sitting next to him.
“Oh hi Alfie I didn’t expect to see you here?” I questioned.
“Were just watching a movie.” He said.
“Oh ok, I was going to ask you if you wanted to hang out Theo before I left for California?” I asked.
“Oh er why?” He asked confused.
“Because I feel like we have barely spoken since you got here, I am always with Dom and you’re always with Alfie. Why do you not want to, it’s ok if you don’t?” I asked quickly.
“Ok what did you want to do?” He asked confused still.
“I don’t know we could go play some footy?” I suggested.
“Yeah sounds cool I miss a good kick about, how about tomorrow?” He asked smiling slightly.
“Yeah ok sounds good.” I answered. “Ok I will leave you guys to your movie.”
I walked out closing the door behind me and I went into my own room and locked the door, I pulled out my phone to call Dom and let him know what had happened. I lay back on my bed to get comfortable as I had a feeling we would be talking for a while and I dialled his number.
“Hello, that was quick.” He answered chuckling.
“He was busy…. With Alfie.” I said.
“Alfie? Busy? What do you mean by that?” He asked in quick succession.
“They were watching a movie calm down.” I chuckled. “But now I am all alone when I could have been with you, he wants to play footy tomorrow instead.”
“Do you need me to come over?” He asked. “Seen as you won’t see me tomorrow.”
“It’s ok babe, I can’t make you walk all the way over here.” I mumbled.
“Charlie it’s like ten minutes!” He chuckled.
“It’s ok.” I sighed. “I’ll be fine just talk to me while I start packing for college.”
“Ok but don’t forget you don’t need to take everything with you, bare minimum ok?!” He snickered again.
We talked for a while as I packed boxes with the things I needed for college, I packed clothes and text books, novels and toiletries. I put spare bed linen and pyjama’s then I added my computer games as I would be taking my Xbox with me too, had to have something to keep me occupied when Dom wasn’t around. Just as I was adding some DVD’s to the box, Dom was talking to me about the road trip we had planned and he sounded a little out of breath.
“Dom are you…are you wanking?” I asked shocked. “You’re out of breath.”
“Charlie! No I am not wanking, I was just walking about the house looking for something.” He laughed.
“Oh I was just wondering, thought you might have wanted to seeing as you’re not seeing me tonight.” I laughed back.
A knock on my bedroom door interrupted us and I went to unlock it as it was probably my mum with cookies, when I opened the door though I was shocked to find that it was Dom. He stood there catching his breath and grinning at me and I couldn’t help but let a huge grin spread across my own face.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Well I couldn’t leave you to pack all on your own now could I?” He winked at me.
“Thanks for coming babe.” I said pulling him into a hug.
“Well I don’t like sleeping alone anymore.” He mumbled.
“Me either.” I said pulling him close again and locking the door behind him.
I kissed him and he moaned in response, pulling him closer to me by the ass I pulled his crotch close to mine so I could feel him. I ran my other hand through his hair and his eyes seemed to roll back into his head in pleasure, so I let go and walked him backwards to the bed until his knees hit the mattress.
I gently pushed him onto the bed and climbed on top of him, I knew that sex was supposed to be good. I had heard it time and time again from people who had experienced it at school, but I didn’t realise how addictive it would be, how often I would want it.
As I stripped him off he let me take the lead, switching it up like he had promised. I kissed him all over his body and I loved the noises that he was trying to contain for my families benefit. He stripped my clothing and before I knew it we were under the covers moving slowly against one another as we made love again. Each time seemed to be better than the last and as he came he clenched around me and I could understand how he never lasted much longer at this point, because the feeling was incredible and I came along with him.
We fell asleep quickly after that, Domingo sprawled across my chest with my arms wrapped tightly around him. It was warm and comfortable and I was pleased that he had come over for me, not just to make love but for this, I wouldn’t change cuddling him for anything.

The next morning Domingo kissed me goodbye and told me he would be back over for tea, he had already arranged it with my mum and she had of course agreed. I climbed out of bed and forgo my usual shower as I was going to be getting dirty anyway, I pulled on some shorts and a vest then I went to brush my teeth. When I was ready I knocked for Theo and he came out all ready and I was surprised to still see Alfie with him.
“Oh Alfie are you coming too?” I asked.
“No I am going to see Sofia, you guys have some fun.” He replied
I turned to Theo and he had that same grimace on his face that he wore yesterday, I pat him on the shoulders and I could see the strain as he tried to smile for me. We walked out the house, we took a left for the park as Alfie took a right for his apartment, Theo watched until he turned the corner then he jogged to catch up with me.
When we got to the park I put the ball down and I made a goal with our vests, then we played one on one for about an hour until it was so hot I couldn’t breathe anymore and collapsed with Theo laughing at me.
“You are so unfit.” He laughed.
“I am not, it’s just been a while that’s all.” I chuckled back. “Are you ok Theo. I mean are you doing ok?”
“What do you mean?” He said turning back to the usual Theo.
“I don’t want to go into your feelings unless you want to, I am glad that Alfie helps you cope it’s better than you breaking down in my opinion. Do you…do you like like him or are you just friends?” I added.
“Were just friends.” He almost snapped.
“Ok cool, well I am glad you have him anyway especially as you won’t come to California.” I smiled.
“College just isn’t for me Charlie we have been through this.” He smiled again.
“Theo can I ask a question?” I said.
“Sure?” He looked puzzled.
“How did you know I was gay, when I didn’t even know?” I asked.
“I didn’t really know for certain but nobody I have ever met has ever been as close to their best friend as you two were. I just wanted you to realise it so sorry if I said anything inappropriate to Dom I figured it might just make you wake up a bit.” He laughed.
“I still can’t believe you knew from that first moment but…well it worked and I never thanked you.” I smiled.
“You’re welcome but Charlie?… you might want to keep it down a bit on a night if you catch my drift.” He chuckled.
“Oh my god! You can hear us?!” I gasped and he fell about laughing.
“Nope but you should have seen your face!” He laughed. “At least you confirmed you are getting some.”
“You tosser!” I pushed him but I was laughing too. “Come on I’m hungry.”
“You’re always hungry!” He said standing up.
We walked together back to the house and we continued to laugh at things along the way, whatever Alfie was doing for Theo I hoped he would keep doing it. I imagined as soon as he stopped it wouldn’t be pretty, as I think that will be when Theo will feel his loss the most and after all he has been through he doesn’t deserve that.
When we arrived home Dom was walking towards me, when I looked passed him I could see Alfie standing on my door step. Theo must have noticed to as he pat me on the shoulder then ran off in his direction, I stopped and waited for Dom to come to me. Smiling I took his hand and we walked together back to the house, I couldn’t wait to tell him about my conversation with Theo and I couldn’t wait to discuss the Road Trip we had been planning to get to California.
