Peleides POV
You know that feeling when someone is watching you? Well that’s what I’m feeling right now. I try to keep my breathing hollow to make them believe I’m still asleep but after a while they get frustrated and shake me.
“Hey I know you’re tired but I’m bored so get up” the husky voice growled.
“Who are you? And stop shaking me” I said glaring at him.
He looked away, well damn I’m freaking sorry I’m ugly bish.
“I’m Hunter and you?” he said.
“Peleides” I whispered.
“What kind of name is that?” he said laughing making me frown.
” It’s a blue butterfly idiot. Seriously who let you in here? I’m calling security” I spat at him.
He looked at me as if in disbelief. Whatever first you come in here and then bother me out of my sleep you are dead.
“Well they won’t do much because my father owns this hospital” he mocked.
Oh hell to the no boy. He dare mock me? How old are you 10?!? I take a deep breath.
“What do you want then? Waking me up from my sleep and then arguing with me won’t help me or you so get out!!!” I screamed feeling a sharp pain to my lungs.
The door flew open and Carlson came in looking at us with panic in his eyes. He looked around and then at us relaxing and putting a smile.
“What is going on here?” he asked.
“This-this guy came in here shaking me out of sleep then making fun of me!” I screamed once again making me cough.
Carlson told me to calm down because so much screaming can damage my lungs but I didn’t care I wanted this idiot out. The guy seems to have sneaked out while I was ranting so I relaxed a little.
“Who was he? And why was he in my room?” I asked out of breath.
“He is the sons of the owner of this Hospital and I have put him charge of you. So please do try to get along I’m sure there are a lot of things you two have in common.” Carlson sighed.
“Fine. But tell him not to bother me in my sleep or next time he won’t have eyes” I whispered making Carlson laugh.

-The Next Morning-
I woke up with the sun hitting me and I smiled at I felt its warmth through the window. Yesterday after the brute had left they had to do some more tests just to check on my lungs and how the treatment is doing. I hate tests and nettles and anything that has to go in my body. I sat there just looking at the window smiling softly when a loud cough interrupted me making me look towards the door.
“Morning” says Hunter was it?
” Morning” I say.
“You ready for today? Seems we are going to be going outside yyaaay” he says not too happily.
Is this guy an idiot or what?
“I’m not going outside” I simply state.
“Why not?” he says dumb founded.
“I have LUNG cancer pollen is not good for my lungs. Also I’m only allowed in the facility.” I stated trying to get up.
I slipped and was about to land on the floor when two strong arms held me from my doom. I looked up to see Hunter smirking at me as if stating something. He grabbed me and put me in place.
“What are you looking for?” he asked.
” My toothbrush I have to brush my teeth” I sighed.
He went to the bathroom and got a big bowl and filled it up with water. He helped me brush my teeth and rinse off. After my hygiene was finished I told him to sit in a chair near by.
” Yesterday we got off on the wrong foot let’s start over.” I said looking at him.
“Okay I’m Hunter McNeill and my father owns this hospital along with some other business. I am currently ‘punished’ which is why I’m here and not at the beach like everybody else.” He said swiftly and then signed for me to go.
” I am Peleides Snow my mom and I are all we have, I have been stuck here since I do believe 4 to 5 years and I have a terminal cancer. Please don’t feel pity for me I do hate it and don’t wake me up like you did yesterday because you’re going to get yourself killed that way. I like to draw and play video games and sometimes maybe read. My schedule consists of mostly treatments and visits from my nurses every two hours and I do like to read a good book so I will need complete silence. I suggest you bring a book as well because since you are taking care off me you have to be by my side at all times. Do also note not to say any rude words or comments while taking care of me I really despise them.” I finished.
I looked back at him to see him looking like a fish. I snap my fingers in front of him getting him back to reality.
” How old are you 30?” he said shaking his head.
“No I am 17 going on 18 its simply just because I don’t party and fuck everything I see doesn’t make me an idiot like you” I said to him.
“I’m not an idiot for your information and besides I was just gonna say you need to live a little you know ppppaaaartttyyy” Hunter said dancing a little which made me scuff.
“If you haven’t noticed I have cancer one that affects my lungs directly. Which means many things from the outside world can harm me in different ways.” I said stubbornly.
” I don’t get it why are you letting this cancer get to you? You should go out and have some fun at least you know before you…. You know” he left off.
I stayed quiet. Don’t you think I wish I could do that? To be able to run and dance all night long? To be able to have a boyfriend and go out every night as I please? I don’t look at him only to my hands. But he is right I am just sitting here letting this thing take my life… but what can I do? I have no more strength to fight. I wish I could just wish for this thing to be gone and that way my mom would smile again. But everything we do is to no avail I’m going to die and accepting it is better than pretending.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to”
“It’s alright…. I’m thirsty can you get me some water please” I interrupted him.
He got up and left. I looked around my room and that’s when I realized something …… I am a prisoner and as much as I hate it I’ll never be able to leave. This only window which lets me see only so much is my only hope and soon that will die off as well. I laid back down putting my hands over my eyes as I felt my eyes burn no tears fell. I sighed and turned to the side closing my eyes and going in to a deep sleep.
