The first thing Jimin met with in the morning was, Bora and Wonhee giggling with each other while they were in the breakfast.
It’s just been three days since, Bora asked him about Wonhee, and now they became close enough to laugh with each other. If it was someone else, Jimin wouldn’t have shocked, cause Wonhee is a really a friendly guy. But it’s Bora we are talking about, who barely get along with strangers.
“They look cute together, aren’t they?” Yejun whispered leaning towards Jimin.
“Yeah they do.” Jimin answered, absent mindedly.
“I have something for you.” Yejun suddenly said, pulling out a box from his pocket and giving it to Jimin. Frowning Jimin opened it to find a scent diffuser in there, with some tiny bottles. The frown deepened as he looked up at Yejun, who smiled kindly at him. “Looks like you are distressed a lot lately. The essential oils are good and relaxing. It will help you.”
“Thank you. I loved it.” Jimin returned the excited smile, it was touching how his idol seems to notice things like that. He was glad there is someone other than Bora and his family is there to take care of him. To wish well for him.
Yejun was right. He was stressed with all the things are going on.
Working whole day and night, without sleeping properly is really difficult . But there aren’t much days left before he leave the palace, and he don’t even know if he can comeback after. So he have to help his friends, before that.
Jimin noticed Lina was glaring at him as always. He wanted to scream at her face that he don’t have any romantic interest towards Yejun, and she can have him to herself. But he didn’t want to cause trouble. So for now he decided to stay quite.
Placing the gift in his coat’s pocket Jimin decided to pass it to Bora before the shooting starts.
Feeling eyes on him Jimin looked ahead, to find, Bora and Wonhee looking at him. Bora had concerned face, were Wonhee seemed lost in thoughts.
‘Are you okay?’ She mouthed, to which Jimin gave a thumps up and a blinding smile.
Jimin wondered, if Wonhee told Bora about their library searching previous nights. If they talked about it, it’s definitely gonna be complicated. Jimin usually don’t hide anything from Bora. But this matter is different. He don’t want anyone find out about the six people in the mirror, who he started seeing as his close friends. He don’t want any harm happen to them. So less people know about them is better.
He can tell about all this, when they will be released from this curse or at least when he find out the cure for this curse. That way he don’t have to risk it, also he don’t have to lie more to Bora.
“Let’s get ready for the shoot.” Director Lee’s assistant called out to them after breakfast. It’s the same day again.
“Let’s gooo.” Wonhee singsonged, when Jimin opened the bedroom door.
“You are early.” Jimin frowned, glancing at his phone. It was earlier than they usually go upstairs, too much earlier. Jimin doubted if other people went to sleep or not. “What if someone caught us?”
“No one will see us.” Wonhee smiled. “It’s been three days and still we didn’t find the book we are searching for. So let’s start early today.”
Nodding his head, Jimin decided to follow him quietly.
It’s been days since they started searching. Still they haven’t found the book. There is only few days left before they leave the palace. So they have to do it fast.
Jimin hadn’t even met with the six of them in this three days. Cause he was searching whole time and mainly because Wonhee was always with him. He didn’t want to take the man to the dance room.
One thing that was good was, Jimin became a little closer to Wonhee. Even though he won’t call the man a friend, he still liked his company.
They both went straight to library, and started searching without wasting time. The flashlight of the phone didn’t give much light to search properly, but it was still good than searching in darkness.
“Jimin…” After almost three and half hour of searching, Jimin heard Wonhee calling for him from across the library. “Look at this. Is this what we are looking for?”
Jimin ran towards the older male and looked at the book in his hand. The book was old, paper turned brown from staying there for years. Jimin wondered how they are still existing even after centuries. But who is he to question, when he himself have a tattoo from his previous life.
Taking the book from the other man’s hand, Jimin checked it. The book was titled as Curses and cures. The first page had Park Wonho witten on it in a beautiful calligraphy.
“It is.” Jimin smiled excitedly, looking at Wonhee, who nodded his head.
“Then, let’s go.” Wonhee walked out of the library and Jimin followed him. “I will leave it to you for now. I am leaving. If you need any help, call me.” He said locking the library back.
Jimin stared at him dumbfounded. He was confused. What is he saying? Doesn’t he want to know what he is going to do with this book? If not, why did he helped him?
“Bye.” With that Wonhee walked away, without even waiting for Jimin’s reply.
Shaking his thoughts off, Jimin carried the book towards the dance room. The book was really big, filled with lots of cures for various curses. Jimin wondered how much time will take him to find out about the mirror curse.
Opening the door Jimin slipped in to the familiar room locking the door behind him.
“I found the book.” Jimin announced sitting on the floor facing the mirror.
Six silhouettes appeared in front of him, wide eyes filled with excitement.
“You are here.” Taehyung whispered, his voice filled with emotions and eyes teary. “We missed you.”
Jimin’s heart skipped a beat. Even after seeing the book in his hand, the first they said was they missed him. He felt himself getting emotional.
“Where were you past days?” Jungkook asked with worried face. “Are you okay?”
“Yes I am. I was searching the library and didn’t get the time to visit you.” Jimin reasoned. “And now I found it.” He raised the book in his hand.
“You found it!” Hoseok mumbled. It wasn’t a question, a statement as if he is trying to check reality.
“Yes. This book is really big. I think it will take a lot of time for me to find the mirror curse.” Jimin said.
“It’s okay. Take your time.” Yoongi assured.
“And rest properly.” Namjoon added.
“I will. But for now we will have to search for the curse.” Jimin answered.
“From where did you get the key?” Seokjin asked curiously.
“From a guard.” Jimin lied. For now it’s better to lie than explaining it to them.
Sitting on the wooden floor Jimin opened the book, it was dusty, but still could be read. It’s a miracle, how the book hadn’t ruined even after the centuries.
It was really big, and had lots of pages attached to it. It looks more like a scrapbook than a cure book. Whoever Park Wonho is, it’s that mans dairy about how to lift curses. He seemed to research a lot, and wrote it down. He must be a genius. Jimin thought.
But the only problem is, handwriting is a little messy. But Jimin won’t complaint, as it’s still readable.
With the writing, there are a lot of hand drawn pictures attached to the book. Some of them are of herbs and plants. Different kind of charms, daggers and swords are in the pictures. Also some portraits of people in that time.
Jimin wondered, why the palace wasn’t used for historical researches. They would have get a lot of information about Joseon dynasty and royal families. But the palace secrets are still locked up in here. Maybe they are afraid because of the ghost rumors.
In a way Jimin was glad they didn’t open it for researchers. After researching they would have renewed the rooms upstairs, just like the ground floor.
Then what would have happened to the six people in the mirror? If the mirror broke, will it affect them? Will they die or disappear?
Jimin shook his head. He can’t even imagine something like that. For now they are safe, that’s what matters. And he have to save them from this trapped mirror.
“Jimin, are you okay?” Jungkook’s voice came out as concern. “You looks tired.”
“I think you should get some sleep.” Seokjin said. “You can check the book tomorrow.”
“No, I am okay.” Jimin was stubborn. He wanted them to be out of the mirror as soon as possible. He can’t afford to be late. There aren’t much days left.
Jimin opened the first page of the book, where it says basic instructions about lifting a curse. It says, for all type of curse this instruction should be followed. So Jimin decided he will read through it first.
It wasn’t much, it’s a short paragraph about how your heart should be pure and how you can concentrate on your heart while chanting the spell and all.
Jimin read through it, until one sentence caught his eyes.
Jimin looked up at the six curious face and said. “It says, the person who is going to dispel the curse have to know the reason of curse.”
“Have you found the cure for our curse?” Taehyung asked curiously.
“No, it’s in basic instruction.” Jimin answered. “Will you be able to tell me about what happened to Jaemin and how you got cursed.” Jimin was uncomfortable to ask them about it since they look so heartbroken to talk about it. But they have to talk, if they wants to get out of this mirror.
“W- we are ready to talk. We can tell you everything that happened, if that’s for the better.” Yoongi stuttered a little.
“Okay. Then let’s start from the beginning.” Jimin prompted.
Since the start, since when he met them, Jimin wanted to know what happened to them. First it was curiosity to know what happened to his past life. But now it’s concern for the six persons inside the mirror. He wants to save them.
Taking a deep breath, ignoring the concern in others eyes Namjoon started.
“As you know, we were the dancers in the Royal palace. And it was Jaemin’s first performance in front of the court after one month of practicing with us…”
Are you ready to find out about their past 🤗💜
