(Ello. Sorry for my absence from the story. I can’t sleep and I’m in a writing mood. Chapter 8 of Lovesick is out! Warning: Drug References and Mild Language. Viewer Discretion Is Advised.)
Weeks later…
Reece’s POV~
It’s been a while since I’ve taken that dreadful sip of my sister Clara’s wine. It had changed my life. For the good and for the worst.
::The Past::
The intoxicating smell brushed my nose as I took it all in, gulp after gulp. It stung my throat. Licking my lips, I smiled and hugged my throat gently.
God, it hurt.
I coughed a little as my darkish pink eyes locked onto the half-empty glass bottle of wine. “Clara is going to kick my ass for this…” I quietly cursed to myself, sighing. A frown once dawned over until my lips curled to a sadistic smirk to the floor. Like a predator eyeing its prey.
“Not like I care…” My body started to shudder a little, chills running up my spine. I knew this feeling. It was the feeling I had years ago back in America. Feelings I could describe so well it scares me. But I shouldn’t waste time.
They are waiting for me.
I pulled up my phone and exited the bathroom, closing the bathroom door and rushing to the front door. I locked it up and closed the blinds. If anyone were to find out, especially Clara, then I would be screwed. I plopped on the couch, tapping in the passcode on my phone. My eyes widened a little.
2 Missed Calls & 10 Messages
“The fuck?” I cursed to myself, looking into my inbox. The texts were from Xander. But why? It seemed strange to me. Xander made it clear that he didn’t want me anymore. I clenched my fists at the thought. Why is he worrying about me now? I wish he’d just make up his mind already. If he wants me or not. “The calls must be from him as well…” I quietly said, biting my lip a little. I sighed.
Was being with Xander worth it? Getting my heartbroken and lied to?
I clenched my fists tighter at the thought. No… I can’t let this get to me. I raised my phone up once again, tapping back to the Home screen. I scrolled down to my contacts and found the contact Kurt.
Perfect.
I dialed the number and raised the phone up to my ear. After a few more rings, he picked up the phone.
“Hello?” a deep voice answered to me, causing me to smirk.
“It’s Reece. It’s been a while.” Kurt was silent for a while, mostly in shock. “Hey, don’t say anything alright? Just tell the boys and get your asses down here.”
“But, Boss-“
“Excuse me?” I interrupted, raising an eyebrow at him. His breath hitched in shock over the phone. “I thought so. Be a good little pet and get here by tomorrow. Got it? And bring my old wine crates and cigarette packs with you. Tomorrow, we’ll have a big ol’ family reunion.”
This made Kurt chuckle.
“You got it, Boss. Glad to have you back in the buisness once again.” I smiled at this and took another sip of the wine. “Glad to be back, Kurt.”
