-Kellin-
I was so happy I got the job! I felt so proud of myself, I really wanted to impress Hannah and Oliver while am working here but, mostly I wanna impress Oliver and not let him down, he’s basically the owner of drop dead. Oliver and two other co-workers were showing me around the shop and what I needed to do.
“Kellin, this is Grace and Justin they have been working in drop dead, for about 5 years and they are also our models. Each one of them nodded to me with a smile as they both shook my hand.
Grace my full tattooed but, the most that hot to me was her eyes they were…purple. She was wearing a long black jacket and black jeans with white converse.
“Hi am Grace, am sorry if I scare you am trying to look like an alien. Do I scare you?” She asked.
“Oh no! I’m sorry it’s just that I’ve seen any kinda girl that would do that but, to be honest I like your eyes and your tattoos”
She chuckled. “Thanks”
I moved on to Justin he seemed really nice but, he seemed like he had way more tattoos they were mostly on his face he’s also tall. Justin was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt and white jeans with black shoes.
“Don’t mind her she just weird.” Justin said. Grace chuckle.
“Guilty as charged.” Grace said. I laughed, I look forward to working with both of them, I like there British accent.
“Well Kellin since you know our weirdos…all leave you with them and tell you what to do, I have to tend to a business meeting, will you be ok?” Oliver asked me as he put his hand on my shoulder, I took in a shaky breath.
“Y-yeah all be fine.” Oliver nodded.
“Take care of him.” He said to Justin and Grace as he walk back to his office.
Grace clapped her hands and a little jumpy… “Ok Kellin what do you wanna do first? Do you us to show you what to do? Or how to us the cash register?” She asked. I seemed a little scared and nervous but, I felt like doing clothes first.
“I would have to say clothes…”
She nodded, as she grabbed my hand and took me to the dressing rooms as Justin followed behind. Grace let go of my hand and showed me what to do, “as you can see, people try on clothes and somehow decide to leave the clothes they don’t want in her or the floor. So what you’ll do is grab the clothes that go on hangers, put them back on the hanger.” She said. I nodded, as I did what she told me.
As I did that Justin talked, “as your doing that, you wanna take a look at the clothes, just to make sure there is nothing dirty on it, if you ever find any clothes in the store with a stain just report it to us.” I nodded, as I was almost done with the clothes.
“Alright, when your all done you’ll put the clothes back with the other clothes it belongs to.” Justin said. I grabbed the clothes and tried to find other clothes that matched the one I have to put them back. Luckily I did and finished quickly.
“Very good Kellin. Now how about we try the cash register?” Grace said. I nodded.
All three of us went to the cash register and Grace showed me how to use it as well as Justin did. The register was really easy to be honest, since I’ve had experienced on using the cash register, all I been thinking in my head was that I don’t mess up while working here, well mostly I don’t wanna embarrass myself in front of Oliver, or most importantly his company.
“Alright Kellin, ready for your first costumer?” Grace asked me.
I nodded, a little shyly. A girl came up with just two pair of black jeans, “wow cool choice, these jeans would really go great with that nirvana shirt.” I said as complimented the girl who had a nirvana shirt on, “really?” The girl with a British accent asked.
“Oh yeah, definitely, you would look really cute in them by the way with those, cute little cheeks of your…” I said, her cheeks got a little pink, as I checked her jeans and added the total up.
“Hang on all get another pair of jeans! Oh and a shirt!” She said as she ran to get them.
“Wow. How did you do that?” Justin asked.
“Always give the customer a compliment, on the items there getting and they may get more stuff if you keep saying nice things to them.” Grace and Justin nodded.
The girl came, but not only a shirt and integer pair of jeans, but another two pair of jeans and three shirts. I added up her total as I folded them and put them in a bag.
“Alright your total comes up to 106.” I said as she gave me a 200 I was about to give her cash back, but she stopped me.
“Keep the change” she said with a smile. I chuckled.
“Alright there you go, thank you for shopping at drop dead, oh and please come back with one of those jeans on and maybe that shirt?” I said to her as I have her the bag. She laughed. “Oh I will. Bye, thank you!” She said as she left.
I turned to look at Grace and Justin, they looked shocked.
“Wow! That’s was really awesome for your first day, great job Kellin!” Grace said.
“Yeah, your awesome mate, welcome to the drop dead family.” Justin said.
“Aww. Thank you guys, that means a lot to me, since I do wanna know how am doing. I don’t wanna mess up or anything in drop dead.”
“Kellin what you did the it was incredible. You won’t mess up, your a pro I promise.” Grace said she stuck her tongue out, which I notice was split in half.
I felt like this for once was the happiest thing in my life. I laughed, I was just happy.
“Kellin!” I turned to see Oliver calling me.
“Can you come into the office for a sec?” He asked, Oliver seemed a little mad.
“S-sure” I said as I walked to him, he walked back into the office as I follows him.
God I hope he doesn’t fire me…or will he? God I hope not!
-Oliver-
I left Grace and Justin in charge of Kellin as they showed him around drop dead, as much as I wanted to show Kellin around but, my brother Tom flew into Sheffield from Arizona as he took picture there for our clothing store. Tom needed to talk to Hannah and I about doing a new clothig design for drop dead.
Justin and Grace also needed to be in the meeting but, I let them pass since there were showing Kellin around.
“Hey Oliver” Tom said as he hugged me, I hugged back. Tom and I were brothers, but we both felt were we best friends that we couldn’t live without each other.
“How was Arizona?” I asked him.
“It was great, but are models complained about the weather, but still got the shots.” He said. I laughed.
We all sat down, we had other people here as well for the meeting, but it was only two, it was Matt and Jordan my band mates.
“Alright, shall we get started?” Tom asked we all nodded.
“So Hannah and I have been thinking, instead of putting more drop dead ideas, how about a collaboration?” Tom nodded for me to continue, “Well how about, drop dead x gremlins?” I said. The gremlins was Tom and I favorite movie as kids.
“I like the idea” Jordan said.
“Yeah I like it as well” Matt said.
“I don’t think so…” Tom said.
“What? What’s wrong with it?” I asked. “It’s just that, I don’t think the company is ready to do a collaboration just yet Oliver.” I looked at him kinda upset, “come on Tom this would really do great, and I think our fans will like it.”
“Drop Dead or your fans?” Tom asked me. I sighed, every time I come up with new ideas, I always say ‘the fans will like it’ Tom thinks that I’m talking about fans who like my music. Sure people like drop dead cause I did the clothing line myself.
“Tom, please for once think about drop dead not Oliver’s fans or something?” Hannah asked him.
“Look I’m sorry I say it like that, but you remember the last time people didn’t get clothes from a collaboration last time?”
A long time ago, we did do a collaboration with another company, Tom left me in charge since I was the owner I drop dead, but Tom was the 2bd owner of drop dead, long story short, I went with the idea and then once, the store was almost empty cause somehow no one likes the idea I made in my own. Tom was disappointed in me. Even my fans wrote very mean comments to my bands, how I’m just a messed up freak.
“Tom I feel like this would be a good idea!” I said.
“I’m sorry Oliver, but no” tom said. I sighed and looked down.
“Mom and dad would have thought this was a good idea” I mumbled quietly so no one would hear me, but I heard Tom sighed, he must have heard me. Tom and I lost our parents two years ago in a car accident.
“Oliver, I’m sorry” Tom said once again. I was feed up, that I got up my seat. I think I know someone who can can change my brothers mind.
I went out of the office to see Kellin smiling in laughing, I think he’s having a great time here, but I shook that off as I got serious.
“Kellin!” Kellin looked at me, his smile dropped as he looked at me.
“Can you come into the office for a sec?”
“S-sure.” Kellin walked towards me as I walked back into the office. Oliver follows behind me. Kellin stopped and looked at everyone. “Sit” I said to Kellin as he took a seat next to me. Kellin looked at little scared like he seems to think he’s gonna get fired.
“Kellin this is Tom my older brother he is the 2nd owner of drop dead, Tom this is Kellin we just hired him today, he has worked before in clothing line businesses, he worked in hot topic once and was throw into hq for clothing design.” I said as I introduced them both. Kellin gave Tom his hand to shake.
“Wow hot topic, that’s awesome!” Ton said.
“Thank y-you sir…”
“Oh please just call me, Tom.” Kellin nodded.
“So Kellin, I called you back here, because well, my brother doesn’t like my ideas.” I heard Tom laughed, as I rolled my eyes.
“So what do you think about drop dead x gremlins?” I asked him.
“That’s cool, but did you get the ok by the other company who owns gremlins?”
“Ha! See Tom told you it wa- wait? Ok by the other company?” I said confused. Kellin nodded. “In order for you to to do that, you must set up at meeting with the people who own gremlins”
“But who can own gremlins if it’s just a movie?”
“Oliver, just because it’s a movie doesn’t mean you can automatically do something with it how ever you want.” He said. I looked at Kellin, he sure know his way into the whole clothing line businesses, but I wanted to see how this was going.
“Please do go on, Kellin…” Tom said as he grinned at me, I rolled my eyes at Tom.
“Well like I said you need the ok from the people who did gremlins. If you get the ok from them, then you can get started on making the clothes for drop dead. If you were to ever get the ok, they will help you with any back up plans that may happen if the clothes don’t get sold here in drop dead.”
Every word, that Kellin said really amazed me. I’m really considering to just move him into hq for clothing design and also company meetings like this.
“I will take back what I said, Oliver you will make the call to them and if they give us the ok will go forth with your idea,” Tom said.
“Ok great I will!” Finally Tom agreed with me for once.
“Alright, that’s it for today. I have to go, I have to check how hq is doing.” Everyone got up, but Tom made us stay behind, except for Kellin.
“Really cool kid, what’s his name again?” Tom asked.
“Kellin, he’s living with me.” I said.
“Living with you?” Tom asked confused.
“All explain everything to you later if you come by my house, I want you to come over for dinner,” I said as Tom packed up, “sure, all come by at 8. Oh how’s the new music by the way?”
“Everything going great, were just waiting for Oliver to give us lyrics,” Matt said.
“Yep, but everything going smoothly, but we all miss going on tour” Jordan said. Tom chuckled, “well all see you later. Bye everyone!” Tom said as he left.
“Oh and Oliver!” I turn to look at Tom and nodded. “Move that kind into hq, he’s really brilliant.” I laughed and nodded, I already had that idea. I wonder how will Kellin feel?
