Eli’s pov
“Can’t you stay?” I whined tugging on Carters hands.
“I’ll be right back, my mom said I could stay here overnight but I need to go change clothes and my parents want to see me.” He sighed walking to the door, dropping my hands.
“Will the doctors even let you stay over night?” I asked uncertain.
“Yes don’t worry babe.” He said giving me one of his adorable grins, and opened the door.
My heart fluttered at the word babe and I felt my cheeks and the tips of my ears heat up.
He walked Out and I immediately felt lonely. Don’t you hate it when you have to say be away from the person you want to spend ever minute with?
I decided to call Kayla, she was my best friend so I kinda felt like she would want to know about my day, well I hoped.
It rang a few times but eventually she awnsered.
“Hey.” Her soft and sweet voice came from the other side. “How is the hospital?” She asked.
“It’s kinda great.” I sighed happily,
“Great?” She asked laughing, “How is it great, is a hospial.” She laughed.
“Yeah but the entire time I’ve been here I’ve been with Carter soo…” I couldn’t even finish my sentence before she started squealing.
“Oh my god YASS!!!!” Her reaction caused me to burst out laughing.
“Did you guys kiss again?” She asked calming down a bit.
I blushed, “yeah… A lot.” I said grinning.
“Awe you guys are so cute.” She gushed.
“And he called me babe.” I said, knowing how my skin was probably beat red.
“OMG!!” She screamed.
“Yeah..” I said blushing.
“Ok you guys are officially my relationship goals.” She said laughing which caused me to laugh. I loved my best friend.
“He’s just so…” I said not being able to find the perfect word. And the truth was I couldn’t, he was beyond describable.
“Yeah… I get it.” She said knowingly,
“Hey have you finished studying for your finals?” She asked.
“Ugh…” I groaned face palming, “No.”
“I can’t believe that it’s already almost the end of the year.” She sighed.
“Yeah, it’s kinda scary.” I admitted.
“Do you know what college you gonna go to?” She asked.
“Well I have three basketball scholarship offers but I really don’t think I want to play basketball in college.” I replied.
“Yeah I have no idea either.” She replied.
“Well I got to go, finish studying and stuff. I’ll text you soon bye, love you.” She said and hung up.
Chapter 30
Carters pov
“I need to be there with him.” I pleaded but my dad just rolled his eyes.
“You do not have to be there for him, at NIGHT.” My dad argued
“Seriously dad?” I huffed and crossed my arms.
“Seriously dad?” He mocked me.
“Ug!” I exclaimed out of frustration. “I’m going.” I said finally, grabbing my phone and started to walk to the door.
“Fine.” He gave in, “But if I find out you as much as let him hold your hand I’m never letting you see him again!” He yelled. Yeah, sure.
“Love you too.” I sighed and walked out.
I slid in my car and called wes, starting the car.
“Hey.” He answered. “How was your day?” He asked.
“Absolutely amazing.” I sighed happily as I drove down the street.
“Ooo tell me what happened.” He replied giggling.
“We maybe, sorta, kinda kissed.. Alot.” I admitted.
“Oh niceeee.” He replied.
“And I even called him babe.” I said blushing, turning into the parking lot of the hospital.
“So you guys are definitely dating right?” He asked laughing.
“Absolutely!” I exclaimed but my mood faltered. “Well… I think so.” I said doubtfully. I hope so.
“Well you should talk to him about it.” He offered his advice. I nodded and parked the car.
“Well i gotta go, text you later.” I said turning off my car and sliding out of my car.
