I want to share my story….my husband is Nigerian and I’m American…..we are in the USA……in 1996 we did blood work before marriage, his hiv results came back pos…..and my own came back negative….he gave me a choice to stay or I can go on with my life, we cried together alll night….he then asked me can he make love to me that night and that he would put on two condoms! That really broke my heart…..I told him “there is no need for 2 condoms”, we made love til the sun came up…..we cried, hugged kissed…..and fell asleep……me being very ignorant to hiv, decided to marry him…….I was clueless about this disease, all I know is u will die from it…….well it has been 21 years later, we are still married and I’m still negative, he adheres to his treatment, hiv doesn’t define who one suppose to love…..he is my best friend that I have never had!!! He told his senior brother about his diagnosis and his senior brother went and told the whole village about his status….from that point on he wished death on my hubby, saying ur gonna die! I see it all in your face, always taunting my husband…even he told his immediate family that I infected him and that I don’t belong in the family! He (his brother)Took my hubby to church, the preacher called my hubby up to the front asked my hubby what he need prayers in? my hubby told the preacher, preacher started praying and had my hubby jumping up as high in the church as he can and told him that he is cured!!!!…. I told my hubby until u go to The doctor DONOT STOP UR MEDS!!!…..mean while my hubby brother in the back of the church grinning and laughing!!!! I couldn’t believe what was going on!!! This man( my in law) has such an evil heart and spirit, did some of everything to get my hubby to die!!!! Took him to the court house brought fake videos to the court house and said we were on those videos stealing his car!!! And so much other stuff he has done went into the court house started telling the court he has (aids)….straight embarrassing him! I sat down and I told my hubby, you know there maybe something seriously wrong with your brother! He (inlaw) went home to the village and tore down his father house right in front of his father face and sent him a video tape 3 months later just for him to watch his house going down, he did this to the father because he felt as though the father couldn’t go against my hubby!….I asked my hubby has he been like this growing up???…. he says no, but everyone always respected their senior brother and sister, and now that he ( my hubby had married he felt as though my hubby wouldn’t respect him again) every time this man travel to Nigeria everyone became scared of what he has planned to come home to do…..until one day we got a calll from Nigeria that my hubby brother is dead!!!! No one couldn’t believe it, my hubby didn’t have any kind of expression on his face….because he couldn’t believe it!!! It’s sad to say everything is peaceful since he has been dead!!!
