Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I’ve tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favour fire
But if I had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction, ice
Is also great
And would suffice

~ Talking ~
The next time that I walked through the treeline, I did not feel the tingles of Thalia’s spell, as I had asked her to take down the barrier. I was done with hiding, I wanted to get to know Kol.
So, without invisibility protecting me, I passed the treeline and sat nearby a tree, still hiding, but this time instead just waiting for Kol.
It didn’t take long.
I was busy creating crystals from some water I had taken from the lake, when I heard the sad sigh by the treeline.
I sat down the iceflake I had just finished in my palm and watched Kol do the same thing he’d done every time I’d seen him here, sit by the tree and take out a photo.
I walked out of the cover of the trees and looked at the photo on the tree.
“He looks happy.” I commented.
Quicker than I had ever seen, Kol was up with his arms lit, ready to attack, but stumbled when he saw me.
“Elijah…?” he breathed out in disbelief.
I smiled slightly and floated the iceflake towards him.
“I made you something. It’s basically crystal, so it won’t melt.” I told him shyly, feeling my cheeks heat up.
He took it and carefully placed it on the picture frame.
“I always admired and envied Niklaus’ and your talent, one of beauty and creation. Mine is only of destruction.”
He picked a flower and set it alight to prove his point.
I watched the flower burn, “Yours is also one of beauty, and mine also of destruction.”
“There are many sides to every talent.”
I smiled in agreement and sat down at the lake, him following closely behind.
“So, Kol, tell me about yourself.”
