The next day when I walked into school, my head was held high and it held a smile, something that I wasn’t used to.
The one thing I was used to came charging at me from the lockets: Thadd. He was accompanied by Nathan and Luke, minus the other two homophobic pricks.
Thadd lunged forward and if I had remained where I was, I would’ve been slammed against the row of lockers behind me as per usual. But I didn’t stay still and I didn’t allow him to hurt me anymore, so I slid to the left.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Thadd asked.
“The fag trying to get clever?” Nathan asked.
I looked up to them and looked Nathan in the eye.
“No, the fag is not trying to get clever. The boy who loves dick is sick and tired of your shit.”
Well that stunned them.
Then, Thadd scowled.
“You’re disgusting, you should be dead.”
At that command, the three of them advanced on me.
At that exact moment, I felt it, like something inside me unlocked and my whole body went cold.
When I looked up again, the boys stopped and I could feel why.
My eyes were a shining blue and my tattoos were shining through my jackets, which I quickly threw off.
I looked them all in the eyes, “Do your best.”
Thadd shook off his initial shock and came out me. When he swung his fist at me, I dodged it and used the water from the bottle next to me to freeze a block of ice around his hand, causing him to fall on the floor.
I turned just in time to doge Luke and Nathan’s attacks, and took the water from the fountain from the corridor. I crafted them into spikes and threw them at the two boys, pinning them to the lockers.
I walked over to them and put a cold hand over their hearts.
“You boys have cold hearts, but they are not yet frozen. From now on-wards, you will never bully another soul again, each time you do, you will be closer to freezing your heart forever. When you find true love, you will finally find warmth.
I froze my hand-prints on their chests as a reminder, then unfroze the icicles holding them up.
I turned to see Thadd looking at me with hatred and fear.
“Your heart is already frozen, but I give you the same fate as Luke and Nathan. Find true love and you will find warmth.”
I seared my frozen palm over his heart and thawed his hand.
With that, I turned to face my parents at home.
