The stadium buzzed with cheers and whistles as the inter-college football match heated up. Shreyansh sprinted across the field, his jersey drenched in sweat, eyes focused like a hawk on the ball.
I lifted my phone, catching the perfect shot of him mid-run, and within seconds posted it on Instagram.
“Rock it, man 🔥”
It wasn’t even two minutes before my screen lit up with a notification.
“You said you’ll be busy today, but it looks like you’re quite free—enjoying his match.”
I could almost picture Rudra’s clenched jaw, the sharp tap of his fingers against the keyboard as he typed that. He’s asking me for some days to come to the company. He’s been spending more and more time in the company since last year and he comes to college only to take final year classes – my classes. But I know he has to leave the college in a few weeks if not days.
“Yea, goal!” Kajal shot up from her seat, clapping wildly as our team inched closer to victory. Adi left the college after first year not wanting kajal to face any problems. Now we are both in the same boat. Time really flies. It feels like it was just yesterday when we started college and now in a blink we are in our final year. But at least she’s happy now that they are officially dating.
“Tu kya phone mein ghusi hui hai? Enjoy kar na!” she scolded, frowning at me as I kept typing.
“It’s Rudra…” I admitted, biting my lip.
“Of course it is!” she rolled her eyes dramatically, then froze, narrowing her gaze at me, like she doesn’t fucking giggle like a toddler whenever she receives a text from her boyfriend.
“But wait—since when is he on Instagram? I stalked every professor in this college in our first year, and those two best friends live like they’re from the stone age. No Facebook, no Insta, nothing.”
“I made his account last week.”
Her brows shot up, a wicked grin curling on her lips. “Wife hone ka poora fayda utha rahi h, huh?” she smirked, bumping her shoulder against mine.
I just made it so that I can send him all those cute couple reels. And he reacts to every single one, which you think isn’t a big deal but trust me it is because I send more than 20 reels per hour.
But like the perfect husband he is, he never left them on the seen. Well After I patiently explained to him that we have to react if someone shares reels with you it’s the basic manners of Instagram.
The only person whom he follows is also me, I giggled at the thought.
her eyes lit up mischievously. “Now post a swoon-worthy picture of you and let the whole college burn in jealousy.”
“What? No way!” I protested instantly. “The entire college is already following him. I don’t want to cause a scene—”
Before I could finish, my phone pinged again.
I froze. Kajal’s voice faded into background noise as I stared at the screen in disbelief.
“Abe, ab kya hua tujhe? Din mein sapne kyun dekhne lag jaati hai baar baar?” Kajal shook my arm.
Wordlessly, I turned my phone towards her.
She squinted, then gasped before letting out a dramatic whistle. “OHH HOO! If my man isn’t like this, I don’t want him!” She placed her hand on her heart as though she might faint.
“I can’t even tell him to do it because my family will have a heart attack if they found out about my relationship from social media” she said in a dejected tone.
Rudra had posted his first picture.
It was from our amusement park trip—a candid. I was smiling brightly at the camera, and Rudra… Rudra wasn’t even looking at it. He was looking at me.
And beneath the photo—he had tagged me. With a heart emoji. ❤️
Kajal winked. “Your man clearly doesn’t give a damn about what anyone thinks. He’s proud of you—and he just announced it to the whole world.”
I couldn’t stop the smile tugging at my lips. Quickly, I DMed him. “I thought you don’t like posting on Instagram.”
His reply came instantly. “I think I changed my mind.”
“Possesive much huh? Claiming your territory” I typed.
“how cute of you acting like it was a secret you didn’t know before ” goshh he can be such a romantic sometimes.
I think I should give my husband a surprise visit, I smiled at the thought. He deserves it for being so cute even in jealousy.
I slipped my phone into my bag, deciding to focus on the last five minutes of the match.
The ground erupted when Shreyansh scored the final, winning goal.
After the match ended, Kajal and I waited outside the changing room. Moments later, Shreyansh came out, his hair damp but no trace of sweat left.
“Did either of you get a video of my last goal?” he asked eagerly, still riding the high of victory.
We both glanced at each other like guilty kids caught red-handed as Shreyansh fixed us with a look of pure disappointment.
“I just gave you guys one job,” he said, his tone heavy. “I promised Ansh I’d show him the match because he couldn’t come because of his school.”
My chest tightened. Aradhya had been working with his father lately, and I’d seen how close the two had grown. That little boy deserved the world, and now the thought of his sad face made guilt settle like a stone in my stomach.
“We’re sorry,” Kajal mumbled quickly, her expression sheepish.
Shreyansh was about to launch into a lecture when a group of girls appeared, all bright-eyed and giddy.
“Hey, you were awesome on the ground! Can we get a pic?” one of them asked, practically bouncing.
Shreyansh’s disappointment melted into his captain’s smile as he nodded. They crowded around him, giggling as they clicked selfies.
One girl suddenly squealed, waving her phone. “Look! I recorded the perfect shot of your last goal!”
Shreyansh’s eyes lit up. “Can you share it with me?”
The girl nearly melted on the spot, like he’d just confessed his undying love. We watched silently as she and her friends fawned over him, their laughter echoing while he typed his number into her phone.
After they finally walked away, he turned back to us, raising his brows. “At least my fans didn’t disappoint me like my so-called friends.” His mocking tone hit sharp.
And there it was—the real Shreyansh singhania aka drama queen.
“Don’t shout too loud,” I shot back, a smirk tugging my lips. “Your fans might still be around. And you don’t want them to find out that the football captain they drool over is actually a drama queen.”
Kajal burst into laughter, clapping our hands together in a high-five, sealing my comeback.
“ Dono ko dekh lunga” he muttered, narrowing his gaze.
“Ha ha, hum hain he itne sundar Aram se dekh lena, photo chaiye ho to vo bhi bta dena hd m bhej denge” Kajal called out from behind as he walked outside.
“Kabhi shishe m shakl bhi dekh liya kr ye galt Femi door ho jayegi” he shot back, vanishing outside.

It’s the first time I’m coming to the company and I don’t even know where his office is so I called Rishi his assistant
“Yes mam” he picked it up in one ring.
“Actually I’m at the company but I don’t know where Rudra’s office is can you tell me”
“Mam sir is in the conference room right now I will tell him immediately that you are here” shit he’s going to ruin the surprise.
“No, no just tell me where his office is don’t say anything to Rudra ” I said quickly.
“Uhm ok mam I will be there in a minute” he said after a pause, maybe deciding whom he should listen to.
Rishi came down and led us through a private elevator which goes directly to Rudra’s floor. Yes he has an entire floor for himself. Perks of being the president of the company.
The elevator stopped as I moved out,” you are not coming?” I asked as he didn’t come out. ,”No mam I’m going back to the meeting you can wait in his office, boss will be here in ten minutes”
I have met him a few times when he came home to get some files or some urgent work. He’s a nice guy but I don’t know why he treats me like I will eat him or something if he spends more than two minutes with me. His loss if he doesn’t wanna be friends.
I nodded and went inside the office. It was almost as big as our bedroom. Everything neatly placed not a single thing out of its place. I moved towards the desk and a smile tugged at my lips seeing our photo frame placed on his desk. Along with his parents.
AUTHORS POV
The office door opened, taking her attention away as a girl stepped inside with some files in her hand and looked at Isha with indifference,”what are you doing here?” She asked in a snarky tone.
Isha looked at her taken aback not expecting this kind of hostility,” You are misunderstanding” she tried to explain but the girl cut her off, not even giving her the chance to respond.
“Don’t you know sir doesn’t like everyone entering his office and you don’t even have the office id” she looked down at Isha’s clothes, she was wearing her casual clothes
Jeans and a comfortable shirt.
“Are you trying to get his attention by doing these cheap tricks? Randomly showing up to his office thinking he would notice you” she said with disgust, thinking that she’s some intern or low level employee.
What kind of Fuck up daily soap she thinks she’s living in Isha thought looking at women in shock. She’s not even giving her a chance to explain and acting like she entered her husband’s bedroom which is funny if you see the situation.
“He doesn’t like girls like you, he loves classy girls so don’t waste your time in all this you will be kicked out of the company” okay she gets it her husband is no less than a model but why the hell there’s always a girl telling her- his actual wife to stay away from him.
Let’s find out what else she thinks she knows about her husband, Rudra k ane tak vese bhi bore ho jaungi akele, Isha thought not slightly bothered with the girl acting like Rudra’s jealous girlfriend.
“Really what else he likes since you seem to know everything about him” Isha asked, smiling coldly, taking a step closer. She’s not the kind of person who enjoys looking down on people but if this girl thinks she can insult her in her own company she’s going to regret it very badly.
The girl was about to say something but was interrupted by a voice Isha can recognize with close eyes.
“What’s going on here?” Rudra stood at the door with a look of confusion but his expression instantly softened as he noticed his wife standing there glaring at the woman.
He immediately understood something was wrong.
“Sir I was just explaining her the rules that she’s not allowed here” the woman said her tone filled with fake softness completely different from the way she was talking to Isha before like her presence was a nuisance for her. even her body language completely changed in front of Rudra who didn’t even spare her a glance.
Rudra crossed the distance between them moving past the woman and stood beside Isha “My wife doesn’t need any rules” he spoke with authority, his gaze never leaving his wife.
the woman turned her head towards Isha in shock. Her eyes widened as she realised she fucked up.
“You can go now” he ordered and she quickly left the office leaving them alone mumbling a sorry quietly.
“Why didn’t you tell me you want to come, I would have picked you up” he spoke softly wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her closer as he nuzzled his face into her neck, making her laugh as his stubble tickled her skin.
“I wanted to surprise you that’s why I asked Rishi not to tell you”
“Who was she?” Rudra looked up hearing her question looking confused for a second before answering,” ohh she’s my new secretary before I wasn’t working regularly so Rishi was enough to handle the work but now he has to handle other important work so I need a secretary.” he explained knowing that her next question would be why needs a secretary suddenly.
The tension in the office between the two women before he stepped inside didn’t go unnoticed by him.
“We don’t like her?” He asked, cupping her face, making her look at him ,” did she say something to you?”
“No I was just curious that’s all” she doesn’t want to ruin her first day here because of some crazy girl who has a crush on her husband. And maybe she didn’t know he was married since she has recently joined the company.
“Then let me show you the company” he smiled taking her hand giving a tour of the company. No wonder he keeps working late whenever he comes here. It’s huge And dad also needed rest now he was handling the company for so many years.
“What do you mean when you join the company” ? Isha stopped in her tracks looking at him with parted lips.
Rudra bit his lips trying to hide the amusement seeing her cute face,”why do you think I’m always telling you to study, I’m a businessman I’m always thinking about profit”
She looked at him mouth gaped,” kya fayda apk pass itna paisa hone ka jab mere ek chhote se pet ko he nhi pal sakte”
Rudra chuckled, pulling her against his chest as she tried to move ahead. “Tumhara or tumhari future football team sabk pet pal lunga” her cheeks turned crimson, since the day she asked him he keeps teasing her about this.
“When are you leaving college?” She was avoiding the topic for days but it’s inevitable.
Rudra sighed, moving her hair to the other side, placing his chin on her shoulder, “this week”.
Her heart sinked though she already guessed the answer, at least in college they went together and came home together but in the company he works until late. And if there’s any emergency he stays the night. She don’t know how mom managed it.
A throat cleared behind us as we turned Rishi stood there looking at the ground,” sir there’s an investor waiting for you in the meeting room”
“I will see you at dinner, the driver will drop you home” he said, kissing her forehead before returning back to his work.

“Girl she’s totally into your husband” Kajal’s voice boomed through the screen, as she removed her face mask. ,”no secretary will act like that if she’s just being professional”
I didn’t drag the matter in front of Rudra but I also had the same feeling that her tone was completely different when she was talking to me.
“But now she knows that he’s married” I reasoned ,” I don’t think she will flirt with him or anything like that now” not that My Rudra would ever allow it to happen but still.
Kajal rolled her eyes,”you can’t be such a naive girl, she might be trying every possible trick to spend more time with him. How can you not notice the way she behaved was not at all professional”
I sighed,” so what should I do?” I can’t just order Rudra to throw her out of the company without knowing anything; it would be so petty and childish.
“There’s only one way to find out what her real character is,” Kajal stated.
And the next day we are standing outside the company like some thieves planning to rob the bank.
“Are you sure, this is a good idea?” I asked, looking towards the company. If Rudra found out that I’m doing all this he might make good on his threat and actually make me work here. I shivered at the thought.
No, I still have so much time to enjoy my life to read all those books in my tbr, which is never ending.
“Do you want her to eye fuck your husband everytime they are in the same room?” kajal asked, raising a brow.
“Fuck no”
“Exactly, ab jaldi jaa andar” she says, giving me the parcel package.
“Mujhe dhakke mark company se bahar nikal diya to, is get up main delivery boy kam chor jada lag rhi hu” I complained. My hair is secured under the cap and the mask is hiding my face. The hoody is doing her work to hide everything that could possibly give away my identity.
“Abe case kar denge company pr bad behaviour ka chinta MTT kr esa hua to, papa se bol dungi free m lad lenge” she replied with a grin.
“Mere he pati ki company hain behan”
“Ha ab yaad aa gya na to jldi jaa” she says impatiently, turning me around and pushing forward.
“Call me if you need any help” like she would be able to anything in front of Rudra
I entered the company and thankfully nobody stopped me, hell they didn’t even notice me. I looked around to see if anyone was looking before entering the private elevator, I remember the code Rishi used yesterday.
There was no one in the office as I looked around. Maybe he’s in a meeting. The sound of footsteps echoed followed by two familiar voices. Shit he’s here.
I quickly hide behind the door.
“I need the files of the sales department from last week” Rudra entered the office followed by Rishi.
Huh, where’s that girl?
They discussed some more business as Rishi left. Now there’s pin drop silence in the office and my heart is beating so loudly that I fear even he can hear it.
I sucked in a deep breath as his footsteps followed outside.
Too soon.
A hand pulled me out with a jerk as I stumbled against his chest. I quickly lowered my gaze. As he made no effort to put any distance between us.
“What are you doing here?” He demanded
Does he know it’s me?
“S-sir I forgot the way…I was just delivering something” I answered my voice shaking, his closeness is making me lose my mind. He looked down at me and our height difference was so obvious
I freed my hand and moved back creating some distance so I can finally breathe.
“You entered my office while doing delivery?” He repeated the question, taking it a step closer.
I nodded, he would have said something if he knew it’s me.
“I will go now,” I said, quickly turning towards the door. But he beats me to it and the door closed with a click
“Itni bhi kya jaldi hai” chill ran down my spine as I felt his hand on my waist. As he pulled me against himself. My back pressed against his hard chest.
Should I be glad or worried about the fact that he still thinks I’m a boy.
I cleared my throat,”sir what are you doing?” I said making my voice heavier but it came out like a squeak
He snaked his hand inside my shirt, and I clenched my teeth to but back moaning shamelessly as his hand moved to my nipples, flicking it lightly.
“You think I wouldn’t be able to recognise my wife” he said, dropping his head into my neck as I instinctively arched to give him more access, not being able to resist the way his lips felt on my skin. He sucked lightly as I threw my head back against him. If he wasn’t holding me I would have melted right there under his touch.
“H-how do you know it was me?” I managed to ask. My whole body was burning with need as I turned around and his hands settled at my waist.
He chuckled darkly,” I can recognise you with my eyes closed” he lifted his hand, his thumb grazing her cheek so softly.
“But how?”
His lips curled into a broader grin,”your scent”
“I knew it was you the moment I entered the office,” he said, rubbing there nose affectionately.
I already had a feeling that he would catch me.
Or lo doston se advise.
“Now will you tell me what mission you are on today?”
Well about that, your secretary was acting like your wife so I got jealous and made this stupid plan with my best friend only to get caught by you and still no sign of your secretary.
Or ese mera popat ho gaya.
That’s what I thought in my mind. Before answering him.
“I was just worried that you are eating properly or not so I just came to check upon you” I said, giving him my best smile. Hoping he would buy it.
