After some time, Rudra brought the car to a smooth stop.

“Where are we?” I asked, my voice laced with confusion, still trying to piece together what was happening.

He didn’t answer, simply giving me a small, mysterious smile before stepping out of the car. A moment later, he was beside me, opening the door with a gentlemanly grace. His dark eyes, always intense, softened as he extended his hand toward me.

I hesitated for a moment, curiosity bubbling within me, then placed my hand in his. The warmth of his touch sent a familiar flutter through my chest as he helped me out of the car.

The moment I took in our surroundings, my breath caught in my throat. In front of me stood an opulent five-star hotel, its grandeur only magnified by the enchanting decorations for Valentine’s week. Fairy lights draped elegantly over the tall palm trees, casting a soft golden glow that shimmered like stars. The entrance was adorned with roses and delicate heart-shaped ornaments, while the faint melody of a romantic tune played in the background, setting an atmosphere that was both dreamy and intimate.

“Now will you tell me what’s going on? Are we here for dinner?” I asked, my voice a mix of excitement and bewilderment.

“Let’s get inside,” he replied with a tender smile, pulling me close in a side hug. The warmth of his embrace and the steadiness of his presence made my heart flutter even more.

A hotel staff member, dressed impeccably, greeted us with a polite smile and guided us through the grand lobby. The marble floors gleamed under the soft lights, and the faint scent of fresh flowers lingered in the air. We were led to a secluded area, away from the bustling main dining space, offering us complete privacy.

And then I saw it.

If the hotel’s exterior had taken my breath away, this scene left me utterly speechless.

The private area was a vision of romance. Heart-shaped balloons floated gently, swaying with the soft breeze from the open terrace. Fairy lights crisscrossed above us like a canopy of stars. A small table for two stood elegantly in the center, draped with fine white linen, a single red rose placed delicately in a crystal vase. Soft, melodic tunes of a romantic ballad played in the background, filling the air with a gentle, soothing charm.

I stood frozen, feeling like a fool, overwhelmed by the beauty before me. Every detail was perfect, too perfect.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, my love,” Rudra whispered from behind me.

His deep, velvety voice sent a shiver down my spine as I felt his warm breath against my neck. My heart raced wildly, and I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. Slowly, I turned to face him, my eyes locking with his. His smile, oh that breathtaking smile, was filled with so much love, so much affection, that it made my chest tighten. His eyes, dark and mesmerizing, held an undeniable tenderness that made me forget everything else.

I remained silent, drinking in the sight of my husband-the man who, despite his hectic schedule, never failed to make me feel cherished.

A flicker of worry crossed his face as he mistook my silence. “I thought you would be happy,” he murmured softly, a hint of uncertainty in his tone.

I stepped closer, closing the gap between us until there was nothing separating us. Wrapping my arms tightly around him, I buried my face into his chest, inhaling his familiar, intoxicating scent. His arms encircled me protectively, holding me close as he pressed a tender kiss to my hair.

“I’m happy… I’m so happy that I can’t even find the words to thank you,” I whispered, looking up into his eyes, my voice barely above a murmur.

“You don’t need to thank me,” he replied, his voice brimming with love. Gently, he cupped my cheek, his thumb caressing my skin with delicate care. “What kind of husband would I be if I couldn’t even make my wife happy?”

Smiling through the wave of emotions washing over me, I stood on my toes, leaning in to press a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. “I love you… You’re the best husband.”

His lips curled into a playful smirk. “See? It was all worth it,” he teased, making my heart flutter even more.

“Let’s sit,” he said softly, pulling out a chair for me with his usual charm.

As we settled down, the warmth of the moment still lingering in the air, I finally asked the question that had been on my mind.

“You said earlier that you don’t even know about Valentine’s week and all that… I thought you didn’t believe in this stuff. Then how did you plan all this?”

“Ye meri mohabbat ki pyari si khani hai
Ism ek Shareef sa raja hai
Or ek shaitan si rani hai

Flashback – A Few Days Ago

Isha was sprawled on the bed, aimlessly scrolling through reels on her phone. Every other reel seemed to be couples celebrating Valentine’s week-roses, chocolates, teddy bears, grand gestures. A soft pout formed on her lips as realization dawned on her. Rudra hadn’t wished her even once the entire week.

“Ladka log girlfriends ko itna kuch de rahe hain aur ek yeh hain… wife hote hue bhi mujhe ek rose tak nahi diya,” she mumbled under her breath, her voice dripping with mock hurt.

She turned to Rudra, who was engrossed in his laptop. With an exaggerated sigh, she whined, “Rudra, you didn’t get me anything for Valentine’s week… not even a chocolate on Chocolate Day, no rose on Rose Day… and today is Teddy Day. Still, I got nothing!”

Rudra looked up, his brows furrowed in genuine confusion. “What nonsense is this now? I didn’t even know about all that!”

Isha scoffed, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. “Nonsense? Of course, you wouldn’t know. Why would you? I’m just your wife, right? Why bother remembering such things for me? If I were your girlfriend, toh ab tak kitni mehnat kar chuke hote! But no… you got such a perfect wife, so no need to value her, huh?” She turned her back to him with a dramatic huff. “Go away. I don’t want to talk to you.”

Before she could cocoon herself under the blanket, Rudra slid closer and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her flush against him. His warm breath tickled her ear as he whispered, “I’m here with you, aren’t I? Who needs a teddy when you already have me?”

Isha bit her lower lip to suppress a smile, but her pout remained. “Teddy bears don’t argue.”

Rudra chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to her temple. “But they also don’t love you back the way I do.”

Her cheeks flushed at his words, warmth creeping up her neck. She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Rudra leaned in, his lips brushing her ear gently, sending shivers down her spine. His kisses trailed down to her neck, soft and lingering, his breath warm against her skin.

Isha’s heart raced, her body growing restless under his touch. She clutched his shirt tightly, her fingers curling into the fabric as his lips traced slow, open-mouthed kisses along her throat, making her gasp softly.

Her hands found their way into his thick, dark hair, fingers threading through the strands as she pulled him closer. Rudra groaned lowly, the sound vibrating against her skin, intensifying the tension between them. One of her hands slid down his back, sneaking under his t-shirt to feel the warmth of his bare skin, her nails grazing lightly, making him inhale sharply.

He shifted closer, pressing his body firmly against hers, one of his legs slipping between hers as his hand slid under her nightshirt, his fingers caressing the soft curve of her waist. His touch was gentle but searing, making her tremble beneath him.

Just when the heat between them threatened to consume them both, Rudra pulled back slightly, his breathing heavy. He pressed a soft kiss to the tip of her nose, his dark eyes filled with unspoken desire and something deeper-something tender.

“I could lose myself in you so easily,” he whispered, his voice raspy with restraint. “But your heart… your love… is too precious for me to rush.”

Resting his forehead against hers, he closed his eyes, his hand still holding her close as they both tried to calm their racing hearts.

I thought he would have forgotten that conversation, especially after today’s chaos at college. Even I had forgotten. But here we were.

“I didn’t know about it doesn’t mean I can’t learn,” he said, his voice steady, his gaze unwavering. “If it makes my wife happy, I’ll gladly do it.”

A lump formed in my throat. This man… from the very first day I laid eyes on him, has shown me nothing but unconditional love. Even when I’m impossible to handle, throwing tantrums like a spoiled child, he never raises his voice at me. Despite having the kind of personality that makes people think twice before speaking to him, with me, his eyes are always warm, always shining with the depth of affection he holds in his heart.

It’s like he reserves all the softness of his heart just for me.

The easy smiles, the teasing remarks, the tender touches-these are glimpses of Rudra that only I get to see.

Snapping out of my emotional whirlwind, I cleared my throat and teased him, “I didn’t know you were such a romantic,” a playful smirk curling my lips.

That seemed to please him. His lips stretched into a breathtaking smile, his eyes glinting mischievously.

“You have no idea what I feel when it comes to you, baby,” he replied, his voice low and intimate, his intense gaze locking with mine.

My heart fluttered, and for reasons unknown, his words made me nervous.

Dinner was soon served, and when asked for drinks, Rudra ordered a glass of red wine. Before he could decline for me, I quickly chimed in, “Yes, for me too.”

He raised an eyebrow, silently questioning my choice. I’ve never had alcohol before, but come on-it’s just wine. One glass won’t get me wasted, right?

“What?” I challenged, feigning confidence. “I’m not that young. I can handle some wine.”

Amusement flickered in his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. “Okay… but as far as I remember, you and alcohol don’t exactly go well together.”

“That was an accident!” I defended quickly, narrowing my eyes at him. “And I don’t even know what that son of a bitch put in that glass at the college fest!”

Rudra’s jaw clenched at the memory, but I continued, “Besides, you’re here. Even if something happens-which it won’t-you’re here, so I don’t have to worry.”

He shook his head with a soft chuckle. “Yeah, I’m the only one between us who should be worried about what happens when you’re drunk,” he muttered under his breath.

I blinked, confused. “What do you mean?”

“Nothing,” he replied with a smirk. “Let’s start dinner.”

Between bites of our meal, we shared countless memories from our pasts. I told him funny stories of my college days with Kajal and Shreyansh, and he laughed, genuinely amused. He, in turn, shared tales from his own college days, stories that made me see a different side of him.

I was surprised to learn that Adi sir has been his friend since college. Both from families with established businesses, yet they chose teaching because it was something they genuinely enjoyed.

The wine, surprisingly, was really good. I didn’t understand why I had never tried it before. It felt bubbly, light, and smooth.

“Isha,” Rudra’s voice brought me back from my thoughts, “I think that’s enough for your first time. Your whole face is red.”

I giggled, waving him off. “No, I’m not drunk! See…” I gestured dramatically, nearly knocking over my glass. “It’s so good-I want one more!” Without waiting for his response, I poured another glass from the bottle on the table.

Rudra sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, a fond smile playing on his lips. This is going to be a long night, he probably thought.

But as I took another sip, feeling warm and carefree, I knew one thing for sure-with him by my side, every moment feels just right.

So how was the chapter?

Any favourite scene?

Ready for the drunk drama again ( this time someone is not going to hold back 😏)

And writing intimate scenes is so hard then reading 😭….I can read full smut with a straight face but in writing idk why it feels embarrassing 🀧
