Third person POV
After we boarded the aircraft, we obtained spider eagle eggs for our redo of the 2nd phase. Then, those who had passed boarded the airship to make their way over to the 3rd phase. During the airship ride, Netero introduced himself more formally alongside his assistant Bean.
Participants dispersed, spending the evening eating, resting, and in Gon and Killuas case, played some type of ball game. D/n decided she would go find a place to nap after eating her fill off of the dinner provided.
{timeskip} (fun fact I’m on the toilet rn)
The participants were brought to the top of trick tower, Bean and Netero gave us minimal instructions before departing. After some guy tried climbing down the side of the building, which resulted in him getting eaten, everyone else was left to ponder how to get down. Y/n, with her sharp mind, knew immediately there had to be some way to get down by going inside the tower from the top.
Meanwhile,
D/n turned to walk back to her friends only to take one step, then fall into the floor.
Y/n POV
After figuring out there had to be a way to enter through the top of the building, I crouched down looking for some sort of trap door, eventually finding one. I stood on it and fell into a room, landing perfectly on my feet. Shortly after another person falls into the room, the person being mr pinhead himself.
“Oh, it’s you again.”
We started at each other in silence for a while before a voice spoke up from a speaker somewhere in the room.
“Congratulations, you two have chosen the path of partners!”
(Calliou…nihao) what.
“There is a pair of handcuffs on the left of the door in front of you, each participant will have one side cuffed to one hand, the opposite cuffed to their partner. Your challenge is to pass by working together with your partner within the time limit, the door will open when the handcuffs are on. Good luck!”
And with that, the speaker cut off as Gittarackur approached the handcuffs, cuffing it to his right arm. I only stared at him in disbelief.
There is no way I’m handcuffing myself to a stranger.
Gittarackur motioned his cuffed hand towards me.
“Do you want to pass the exam or what?”
Fuck.
And with that, I reluctantly cuffed my left wrist, now being conjoined with the twitching doll like man. We walked alongside each other in silence for a while before coming to the end of the hallway, a pit of spikes before us and a narrow opening above said spike pit. (ik they’re supposed to be making their way down the tower but bear with me)
“I guess we have to figure out how to climb up there, ” I said, looking up.
Gittarackur hummed then spoke up, “I got it.”
He then picked me up bridal style… well to the best of his ability while being handcuffed.
“Wait a minute what are y-“
Before I could finish my sentence, he jumped all the way to the top of the opening. I sat there wide eyed in his arms before he set me back down gently.
“Woah…”
“Come on, we don’t have time to waste.”
And so, the robotic like man started walking again while dragging me along.
Gittarackur(Illumi) POV
As we continued walking I couldn’t help get lost in thought.
Who did Y/n even have a child with…
I probably shouldn’t bring it up, but I decided to anyway.
Back to Y/n POV
“You seem pretty young to be a mother,” Gittarackur spoke.
“Hm. Thanks for noticing I guess.”
“Do you have a boyfriend? Or are you in touch with your child’s father?”
Huh? Why is he asking me these questions…? It couldn’t hurt to tell him I guess.
“To answer both of your questions, no. I haven’t seen him after a fight we had years ago. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even know his daughter exists.”
“Ah, sorry for asking.”
And without another word we continued down the hallway.
Illumi POV again
It sounds an awful lot like she’s describing me. There is still a chance of her talking about another man but that stands at 10%. The child looks to be around 4 years old so that only furthers my suspicion of me being the father….
