Y/n POV
My eyes widened in terror as I look to Canary then begin to slowly turn around and face the bedroom door. Said girl bowed and greeted the last man I wanted to see at the moment before excusing herself. I stared at him for a few more moments before remembering to quickly shove the tests in my pocket.
“Illumi! I didn’t think you would be in today.. ahahah…” I let out nervously, avoiding eye contact with the man.
He narrowed his large eyes at me, like he always does, before speaking again.
“There’s something off about you. Your aura, it’s changed.”
He stepped closer to me, so close that our noses were practically touching.
“What are you hiding from me.”
“Nothing! I have to go… braid D/n’s hair!” and with that, I slipped around the lean man before scurrying out the room and down the hallway.
Speaking of, how the hell would I break it to D/n if I do end up keeping the baby?
Before I could entertain the thought further, the previously mentioned girl ran up to me, her hair already in some sort of elegant style.
“Hi mommy!” she greeted, reaching her arms up to me. “I was playing with Kalluto and he gave me these hair pins!”
As I picked the young girl up, she shook her head lightly to show off the accessories.
“How cute! What do you say to spending the rest of the day with mommy?” I asked, needing to keep the both of us occupied until I can figure things out.
“Okays!!”
Illumi POV
Something isn’t right. Y/n is nervous about something, usually she just has an attitude. And her aura.. it’s almost as if she’s developing a completely new one on top of what she already has. There’s some sort of power coming from her that wasn’t there before.
I walked to where Y/n had run off to, hiding myself behind the wall and listening as she spoke with our daughter. It feels like there’s an energy shift where the woman is present. One that no ordinary person could cause.
This… it feels like standing near Killua or my father.
Something definitely isn’t right. I’ll get to the bottom of this, weather I hear it out of Y/n herself or not.
