I am feeling my head is pounding, I am feeling a headache not that much but not less. I felt uneasy and tried to open my eyes, but they kept closing due to how heavy they felt. Eventually, I managed to look around.
“Me kaha hu,” I whispered slowly.
(Where am I?)
Due to the sunlight coming through the window, everything looked blurry and I couldn’t see their faces clearly. But after a moment, I gathered myself and saw Yash, Sid, Tanya, and Ruhanika standing there.
“Dharti par,” Yash replied, rolling his eyes with a hint of concern for his friend.
(On Earth)
“Ayein…”
“Gadhe tum dharti me ho apne vidyalaya ke andar chikitsa kaksh ke bistar par lete hue ho,” Yash added sarcastically.
(You’re lying in the medical room bed in your school)
“Oh my Vihaan, finally hosh aa gaya,” Tanya exclaimed overdramatically.
(Are you finally awake)
“Guys, I’m fine,” I managed to say.
“Kitni ungli hai ye?” Sid asked, showing Vihaan two fingers.
(How many fingers?)
What’s with the two fingers?’
“What’s nonsense, it’s two fingers,” I snapped at them, annoyed with their teasing.
“Badhai ho, badhai ho ladke ne apne hosh nhi khoye,” Sid said and hugged Yash, and they both pretended to wipe away fake tears.
(Congratulations, the guy hasn’t lost his senses)
My gaze landed on Ruhanika, she was there but not really, where did she disappear to?
“Oh, hey Vihaan, you’re awake,” the medical assistant came in to check my pulse.
“Yeah”
“Don’t worry, you’re fine, just drink some water, don’t let your body get dehydrated, okay?” she said before leaving the room.
The bell rang, and the doctor signaling everyone to leave, and my mom also came in to ask,
“Baccha, are you okay?”
“Yes mom”
“Khana pina hai bas ulti sidhi cheeze khaani hai health par dhyan nhi ye nhi hoga toh kay hoga. Waise Why did you faint?”
(You need to eat and drink, only simple things but no….only have focus on junk foods, take care of your health, if you’re not careful, what will happen?)
‘Tell her Vihaan you were shocked seeing Ruhanika’s top rank,’ my inner voice commented, making me mentally roll my eyes.
“I was just feeling hot.”
“Huh?”
“I mean, it’s really hot, so the heat got to me,” I said, laughing oddly.
She frowned but caressed my cheeks and left to get my bag.
The whole day passed, but I can’t get the name at the top of the list out of my head, how did she manage to get the top rank? No, I can’t let her win.
‘Bhai kya kha kr exam dia tha ladki ne’
(Bro, what did that girl eat before the exam?)
‘Why not ask her if she has that bread gadget of Doraemon,’ my mind taunted me.
“I ate whatever but next time I won’t let her win, just wait and watch,” I thought smirking about the next day.

NEXT DAY-
Vihaan quickly got ready and headed to school.
Even though his family celebrated his marks yesterday, he is not too thrilled because he got second place.
‘How on earth did she get first place? The question paper was so difficult,’ he thought.
“Dude, Ruhanika really aced it, she topped in all subjects,” Sid praised her.
“I’m sure she excels in academics and she’s also very pretty,” Yash said while glancing at Vihaan.
Meanwhile, Vihaan made a disgusted face, “Pretty? She’s no less than a witch,” Vihaan said, pouting angrily.
Seeing his reaction, both Yash and Sid burst out laughing.
They knew Vihaan never felt jealous or hated anyone because he never faced competition, but this time he’s got a rival who’s a tough one.
‘I will keep an eye on her, see how she’s studying, what extra effort she’s putting in that I’m lacking behind. Yeah, this will be easy,’ he thought to himself and started jumping, punching in air and laughing like a maniac.
“Bhaiya dont do this ek dam langur lag rhe ho” the kid said and vihaan stopped feeling embarrassed and other kids who were standing there laughed their heart out.
(You are looking like a baboon)
Ah, kids these days.
Upon reaching his class, he smirked upon seeing Ruhanika deeply focused on her studies.
Besides her, Tanya sat by the window seat and it wasΒ a seat for three, so he casually walked over and simply said, “shift”
Ruhanika seemed bewildered when he asked her to move, as if she wasn’t prepared for that request.
“Excuse me?” she asked, clearly confused.
“Shift, Ruhanika, I want to sit here,” Vihaan insisted, shrugging his shoulders but not miss his mischievous grin,
She thought that he disliked her, so why would he want to sit with her?
“Why?” Tanya interrupted, crossing her arms.
“My eyesight is weak, I sit at the last bench and can’t see so I want to sit here,” he said innocently, but
Ruhanika knows he’s just making excuses and is curious about what’s really on his mind. So she moves and tells him, “Sit”
Vihaan looks at her, not expecting it to be that easy. He sits like a king, and then Yash and Sid approach him.
“Tune hame dhoka dia,” Yash says dramatically, with Sid adding, “ye thi tumhari dosti bas yehi din bacha tha dekhne ke liye, ye dekhne se pehle mere chole bhature gir kyu nhi Gaye”
(You betrayed us)
(This was the extent of your friendship, the only day left for us to see before my chole bhature fell, why didn’t they?)
Sid dramatically puts his hand on his forehead and pretends to wipe fake tears.
“Sid, yrr chole bhature nhi kuch aur gira de,” Yash says matter-of-factly kyuki chole bhature ke liye kuch bhi ulta sidha nhi sochna hai.
(Sid, not chole bhature, man, drop something else)
(Because there is no need to think about anything wrong for Chole Bhature)
“Huhh ye dekhne se pehle vihaan tu gir kyu nhi gya,” Sid says, and Yash joins in on the drama.
(Huh, why didn’t you fall before we saw this day, Vihaan?)
“Humne promise Kia tha ki hum backbench ke alawa kisi bhi seat ko nhi dekhenge,” yash and sid dramatically said also they both knows Little bit why he is wager to sit with Ruhanika.
(We promised that we will not look at any seat other than the backbench)
Meanwhile, Tanya laughs like a maniac but quickly composes herself when she sees Yash watching her, then she starts laughing elegantly and puts a strand behind her ear. Yash frowned but then he went back to watching his drama.
Meanwhile, Ruhanika was just enjoying the show and waiting for Vihaan to speak.
“Both of them are completely silent, my mind is spinning, and here I am just sitting because…”
“Because…”
“Because… “
“Because…”
Yash, Sid, and Tanya all said together, and Vihaan tried not to make a fool of himself too much.
The moment vihaan is about to speak teacher enters in their class and vihaan took a deep breath and mentally thanks his teacher and everyone sit on their seat.
Vihaan took out his book form his bags and Ruhanika was closely watching his movements he smirked looking at her from corner of his eyes.
Teacher starts teaching and they both were studying with focus he took his own to write down his notes when her hands slightly brushed wit his. They both got freezed it was just a touch not more than micro seconds but they both were feeling electrifying current in their bodies.
Ruhanika composed herself and shifts to another and Vihaan took a deep breath and again moves gis focus to his notebook.
Vihaan was observing her casually her focus when the teacher teaches and immediately writing down important points, she was listening to the lecture carefully and whenever the teacher took a rest of two minutes after topic she immediately revise the previous topics and highlights the point which she couldn’t remember.
I was observing her carefully but soon my focus was set on her eyes. Her hazel-brown eyes looking so much enchanting. She has mole on her corner of lips it can be only seen if you will focus on her face. She also has a mole on her left side eye and my focus was on that mole only. I never found that a mole could look so beautiful until I saw her.
Her hair was braided and a little strands were falling on her face she was clearly disturbed by these small hairs as window is open and these small strands were flowing irritating her. I can see the irritating look she has. She pouted and her nose scrunched in irritation. She was looking cute.
I was about to remove the strand I forward my hands and she was looking at me when I heared a voice
“Mr. VIHAAN”
The teacher shouted and I pulled my hand back and teacher yelled at me “where was your focus vihaan?”
“Nowhere mam” I said.
“Really then solve this question?”, she said and quickly put the chalk in my hands and I walked up to the hell when did mam start teaching this topic.
‘When you are busy admiring Ruhanika,’ my subconscious mind replied.
‘Shut Up’
Ahh how to solve this question? Wait wait I saw Ruhanika was solving this question…that means she wasn’t revising previous topics but revising upcoming topics. Seriously Vihaan you are becoming dumb that you can’t recognise topics now.
I huffed and start solving ques and somehow managed to get correct answer.
Mam took the chalk from and warned me to focus on lectures.
I sit beside Ruhanika, and I hate her more than before because of her teacher scolded and I lose my focus.
‘But you are able to solve the ques because of her,’ my mind said.
‘Yeah….hey hey but we can’t forget because of her I lose my focus why the hell she was looking pretty to me’
‘Ahh someone was hating her and now accepting that she is pretty,’ my mind again mocked me.
And I shrugged my thoughts and drink water that I emptied in one go.
Calm down Vihaan don’t think about her.
Yeah.
I looked towards her and she again engrossed in studies like bell rang she should take a break. I again tried to ignore her. Keyword ,Tried.
But her eyes are the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.

Good News for everyone. I AM NOT PUTTING THIS STORY ON HOLD….heheh first I thought but then I read your all lovely comments and my heart was not ready to put this story on hold….so I’ll be continuing this story but updates will be late I hope you all will understand.
Also I am updating today as next week will going to be very hectic for me may be I will not get time to write but I’ll try to update as soon as possible βΊοΈ
