It was the beautiful morning of December 31, when the united family, along with their new member Wang Yibo, was gathered in MianMian’s ward. It was like a routine, already, to start their day with a hospital visit.
Even Dodge was part of the visitors group, as the cat was living now in the Jin residence, in the twins’ care.

After Yibo got a phone call, he excused himself, as a neighbor announced to him that a pipe had exploded and it might be a danger for some apartments to get flooded.
He rejected Xiao Zhan’s offer to come along, knowing that NaiNai asked him to accompany her to the supermarket to buy some last hour groceries for the New Year feast.

“It is possible that nothing would happen, no need to come with me, thank you Zhan Ge. They informed me to be at home, just in case. A team of plumbers is already there, taking care of the problem.
Of course NaiNai, don’t worry, I will be there in time for the New Year party! How could I miss tasting all those promised delicious surprises?”, he smiled at NaiNai’s hug, before hurrying out the ward.

It was around four in the afternoon when Mister GuanShan got scared at a phone call:
“Oh, my god, it’s from the hospital!”
His wife, GuangYao and Xiao Zhan, who were in the living room with him, jumped up from their seats with worry written all over their faces.

“What, what?
Something wrong with her?
Did she wake up?”, the questions poured, summoning the other family members, too, who came in running, at their shouts.

“No, no, nothing like that. They called because our Yibo son forgot his phone at the hospital. And they found it only now, when it rang while a nurse was giving MianMian the medicine.”

Same as all the others, Xiao Zhan exhaled in relief:
“Oh, thank god! Even though I admit that my hope that MeiMei woke up was stronger than the fright of something bad.
Meanwhile, I suppose that Yibo should have been extremely distressed that he lost his phone.
I should better go get the phone from the hospital. Poor Perrito, he should be too upset by now, he might not even be in the mood to come for the New Year dinner. I will not wait until he comes here, I will go straight to his home from the hospital and bring him the phone.” 

“Yeah, it’s a good idea. I’m coming with you. I have something to do in the town, I will explain to you what, in our way. Besides, I wanted to know where Yibo lives anyways.”, GuangYao started getting dressed into his winter jacket, to Xiao Zhan’s displeasure.
He would have rather spent some time alone with Yibo, as there would be no chance for that, during the New Year dinner.

“Crap, I can’t afford a new phone, but seriously, how the hell did I lose it?
Not now, god dammit Cheng Xiao!”, Yibo cursed while looking through the door peephole, after the aggressive, insistent door ringing bell.

He unlocked the door in the end, knowing that she will not give up and just go away:
“What? It’s New Year Eve, for heaven’s sake! Aren’t you busy with something else? How many times should I repeat myself that my answer is no?”

“Don’t be such an ass, Wang Yibo!
Firstly I am not here to ask from you any answer, and secondly, you should politely greet me hello and eventually wish me a happy new year!
I’m in a big hurry, actually, but I shortly stopped by because I have something to give you, that’s all.
Now, invite me in, it’s cold and I wear only this thin blouse!
Don’t act like a scared chicken, I’m not gonna do anything to you, ha, ha!”, the girl pushed Yibo aside and walked inside his apartment.

“What’s that?”, Yibo asked after Cheng Xiao placed a box on the table.

“We got this from work as a New Year bonus besides the money bonus. It’s alcohol, some food and sweets, and I don’t drink, neither does my father. I am also on a diet right now. As I didn’t have anyone to whom to give these, I thought about you, knowing that you always spend the New Year alone and you have no one to cook for you.
I am alone, too, you know, my father is away to the countryside to see his sister. If you’d want, we could keep each other company, no string attached, don’t worry.
Uff, someone is at the door.”

“Hmm, who could it be? Excuse me for a moment.”,Yibo hurried to the main door, thanking god that he was able to postpone the moment he would rip the poor girl’s heart again, by rejecting her offer.
He really feels pity for her, especially in these kinds of moments when she sounds and acts like any normal being. Her father told Yibo that she is not always depressed and mentally unstable, but she has long periods when she is normal.

“Oh my god, it’s him, what should I do now?”, Yibo panicked when looking through the peephole.

He ran back in the room and asked the girl to stay completely silent, before going back and opening the door:
“Oh, hi, Zhan Ge, what brought you here? GuangYao, you’re here, too, hello!
But, don’t tell me that something’s wrong with MianMian?”

“No, nothing’s wrong with anyone.We are just looking for an owner. Do you happen to know who’s the owner of this lost phone, he, he?”, Xiao Zhan chuckled at Yibo’s wide smile  seeing the phone that Xiao Zhan took out from his pocket.
“A nurse found it in MianMian’s ward, where you forgot it. We could have waited until you’d come for the New Year dinner , but I thought that you might be worried.
Anyways, we apologize for intruding like this, I think that we’re disturbing you.”

“No, no, you’re not disturbing. You made me so happy, thank you very much for bringing me the phone. You even went to the hospital to pick it up! It’s true that I was rather utterly destroyed than only worried.
I don’t invite you inside because I didn’t have time to clean and the whole house is a mess.”, Yibo tried his best to not look like an aSshole for not even inviting them inside after provoking so much bother to them.

“Your guest is not bothered with the mess? We heard another voice besides yours, before ringing the bell, didn’t we YaoYao?”, Xiao Zhan raised an eyebrow at the scared, by now, Yibo.

“You probably heard the TV.
Are you with the car? Let me grab the coat and I will come down with you, I must check out the mailbox anyway.”, Yibo tried hard again.

“Yes,  ZhanZhan  GeGe is driving the rented car. But, it’s true that we heard a voice, I heard it, too.
I was actually hoping to see your turtle pet, about which I heard so much.
Are you hiding something or someone in there, whom we aren’t supposed to see?”, GuangYao jokes, tiptoeing to try seeing inside.

“Of course he does! He hides his girlfriend. I recognized her voice as soon as I heard it.”, Xiao Zhan smiled, but his smile didn’t reach his eyes.

“He hides his girlfriend? MianMian?”, GuangYao gasped, not understanding the supposed joke.

“Not his actual girlfriend, MianMian, but his wannabe girlfriend Cheng Xiao!”, Xiao Zhan replied, loud enough to be heard by the person mentioned.

“Did someone call me?”, a head popped up from behind Yibo who was clutching to the door frame, close to a heart attack.
Why was he even so scared about it?

“Aha, I knew it! What the hell Perrito, why did you have to lie to us like that?
You shouldn’t have worried, when I told you that I believed your explanation about this girl, I was telling you the truth.
Come, YaoYao, let’s go inside. It would be a pity to not give BaiXiangGuo the goodies we bought for her.
May we come in, now? Calm down, for god’s sake, you look like a pale ghost and you tremble like a leaf.”, Xiao Zhan smiled at the distressed Yibo, while soothingly rubbing his back

“Oh, it was you? I remember you, even though I don’t remember for sure who you are to Wang Yibo. His boyfriend, maybe?”, the girl asked Xiao Zhan, shocking the poor confused GuangYao even more than he already was. 

“His boyfriend? No, he’s not!
So, your name is Cheng Xiao, but can I know what are you to Yibo?
I know that you can’t be his girlfriend, because he already has a girlfriend, who is my sister.
Woah, I have never seen someone as beautiful as you!”, GuangYao kept talking at an abnormal speed yet in a whispering voice.

“You think that I am beautiful?
You’re not bad either, I may say.
May I know your name?”, the girl replied, blushing and playing with her hair in a flirty way.

“Perrito, let’s leave these two alone and give them some privacy, they seem like they’re both stricken by Cupid.”, Xiao Zhan whispered in Yibo’s ear while feeding the turtle.

“Yeah, please excuse us, we will bring this box to the car. Thank you Cheng Xiao once again for this, it will be much appreciated by everyone at the New Year dinner where I am invited to.”, Yibo grabbed the opportunity to reject the girl without much damage. Especially now that she seemed bewitched by GuangYao’s admiration for her. 

“Oh my god, I have never seen YaoYao like this. He is smitten, he had really fallen in love with your girlfriend, ha, ha!
Actually, I think they would make a great match! He is not always normal, either, no offense to both. Maybe they would heal each other’s issues. But what are we carrying here, what’s this?”, Xiao Zhan asked while in the elevator.

After Yibo explained to him what was in the box, Xiao Zhan told him:
“I think that we should give the car to YaoYao, maybe he would need it to bond better with his crush, and we should walk. We could take the box with us, it’s not that heavy.
I will explain to you where we have to stop by, before going home. It’s not far from here. Besides, NaiNai asked us to not come before 9 anyway, as she, MaMa and Ma will not get ready with everything before that hour.

Xiao Zhan and GuangYao exchanged keys, while Cheng Xiao asked GuangYao to wait for her in the car as she needed to get dressed and fix her makeup.

On their way to the place where they needed to stop by, Xiao Zhan explained everything to Wang Yibo:
“The thing  is that a good friend of GuangYao asked him to do him this favor.
This dude is the owner of a fitness center and he is on a short abroad trip with his longtime crush, who had finally accepted his love. Hmm, it seems like everyone is getting love these days.
Less me…But that’s not the…”

“That’s not true, Zhan Ge! You have love, you’re loved by so many people! We all love you, I love you…I mean…”, Yibo stumbled in his words, not knowing anymore how to fix what sounded  more like a love confession, and not in a brotherly way, yet still stopping from their walk and pulling his GeGe into a tight embrace.

“I know, Perrito,  we love you, too…I love you,  more.  And this is actually a very big problem!”, Xiao Zhan whispered in Yibo’s hair,  hugging him back after placing the box down.
“Anyways, let’s go, people are starting to look weird at us. I forget sometimes that China is not Spain.
So, this dude gave YaoYao all the keys to the fitness center he owns, when he went on this trip. He also gave YaoYao’s phone number to the building’s owner, to be called if something would happen.”

“Don’t tell me that a pipe had broken in that building, too!”, Yibo exclaimed. 

“You’re not gonna believe it, but yes, not exactly a pipe, but something close to that.
By the way, did your apartment have a problem from that pipe incident?”

“No, I was lucky, thank god! The neighbors two floors below mine were not as lucky as me.
But, tell me about the fitness center’s problem.”

“YaoYao went this morning to water the plants and he forgot to…ha, ha, god he is headless. He will make a great match with your girlfriend, ha, ha!”, Xiao Zhan couldn’t stop laughing.

“He forgot to shut down the water tap? Oh, my god, that’s not funny, why are you even laughing? I hope there is not much damage. GuangYao will have to pay for it!”, Yibo freaked out.

“No, no, he didn’t forget to shut down the tap, but worse, ha, ha! Sorry for laughing, but he is too much! And that dude put his whole trust in our YaoYao, ha, ha! He forgot to lock the front door, he even left it ajar, imagine that!
But he is a damn lucky guy! The building owner felt, out of the blue, like checking out his building, even though it’s New Year’s Eve! Probably he heard about that pipe major incident. Anyways, he noticed in shock the ajar door. Luckily he didn’t call the police, because he was brave enough to get inside and check out if there was a burglar, and when he saw that there was nothing out of the place, he just called our YaoYao.
The building owner was nice enough to wait in front of the building until  YaoYao would come with the keys. This is the address YaoYao gave me.
Oh, look, that guy smoking there on the stairs, must be the building owner.
We should ask him to not tell YaoYao’s friend about what happened.”

“Yes, we should do that. Let me check out if there is something in this box to give him as a thank you gift for the time he spent here waiting for us, instead of celebrating at home. There is a pack of coffee and some cigarette packs. He is a smoker, I bet he drinks coffee too.”, Yibo happily smiled.

“Here is a hair salon and this one is a tanning salon.
Let’s take the elevator, I assume that it’s on the second floor!”, Xiao Zhan said after checking out a few rooms numbers and the number attached to their key.

“Oh, my god, this is quite a modern gym! I didn’t expect that.”, Yibo exclaimed after unlocking the door of the fitness center and walking inside.

“Why do you say that?”, Xiao Zhan asked, following him with the box in his arms.

“I don’t know, maybe because the building looks pretty old from outside and also because who would still use regular keys nowadays instead of electronic systems to secure their doors, especially if you are an owner of a business?”, Yibo wondered.

“The building looks great inside, though. Maybe the building owner didn’t get yet to modernize everything. And probably the rent is pretty affordable so that’s why YaoYao’s friend chose this place.”, Xiao Zhan explained while kicking the door closed with his foot, as his arms were busy with the box, but got startled at Yibo’s screamed “No!”.

Yibo bolted to the door and started to shake, push, and kick the door knob:
“Oh, my god! It’s blocked! We are locked in here!
I didn’t take the key out of the lock, and you kicked the door closed!”

“What do you mean? The key is in the outside lock?
We are locked inside?
This is karma kicking my rude aSs!
I laughed at YaoYao, calling him headless for leaving the door ajar!
And now look at the headless me! Kicking the door closed!”, Xiao Zhan punched the wall in frustration after dropping down the box.

“Zhan Ge, it’s not your fault, it was me who was headless, not getting the key out of the lock as soon as I unlocked the door! Jeez, I am stupid!
Thank God that I didn’t leave my backpack outside with the phone in it, too.
I hate that we must ruin GuangYao’s courtship time, but we have no other choice but to call him. I will ask him to come unlock us, no matter how embarrassing this will be!”, Yibo whined, facepalming himself, before rummaging in his backpack to look for his phone. 

“Wait! I have a better idea! Only if you’d agree of course.
Why not spend the New Year’s Eve here , together, you and me?
To be honest, it’s been a while since I attended a gym, I missed working out, ha, ha.
Besides, it would be a pity to not take advantage that it’s for free!
I’m sure that there are showers cabins, too.
And look, we have food, cakes, drinks in this box, even pink champagne!
I’m a hundred percent sure that it will be more fun than at home.”, Xiao Zhan crouched and rummaged in the box.

“But, I don’t want to get the family upset, especially NaiNai who worked so much will get very disappointed.”, Yibo mumbled, even though his eyes sparkled at the exciting prospect of spending the whole evening and night with “HIM”.

“Don’t worry about that! We have lots of time to make up for them, the next few days. I know from past New Years that there were tons of food, sweets and drinks leftovers from the New Year’s Eve’s dinner.
Let it be me to call YaoYao, I know better how to put it.
But before that, I need to know if you are in? “, Xiao Zhan asked, already searching for GuangYao’s number in his phone.

“Yes, I’m in! But please tell GuangYao to apologize to NaiNai on my behalf and promise her that I will make up to her. I really love your whole family, but I have a weak spot for NaiNai.”, Yibo sighed, blushing hard at Xiao Zhan’s next words.

“My whole family loves you very much, but from all the family members, I personally have a weak spot for you, Perrito.”

“I will go look around while you talk with GuangYao.”, Yibo turned his back to hide his flustered cheeks from his Ge.

After ending the call, Xiao Zhan explained to Yibo that there was nothing to feel regret for disturbing Guang Yao because he was already at the Jin residence, enjoying the whole family’s attention to him along with Cheng Xiao who was invited to spend the New Year’s Eve there.

“YaoYao will come to unlock us in the morning when he will bring the girl home.
And don’t worry that someone could steal the key or something. No one would wander in the building on New Year night, not even the building’s owner.
Luckily the heater is not off! “, Xiao Zhan said, while getting his sweater off.

“What are you doing?”, Yibo freaked out when Xiao Zhan started to unzip his jeans.

“I’m getting undressed, what else? Why, do you intend to work out wearing all those thick winter clothes?
Jeez, you’re like a scared virgin girlie! What the heck, we are both men, nothing new you didn’t see before! We both have, hmm… Besides, I chose to wear shorts today, not boxers, for some incomprehensible reason.
Look, I wear shorts and a tank top, a very usual outfit for a gym, ha, ha, you’re so endearing blushing like this, me sweet Perrito!”

“No, I’m not scared. It’s just that…I wear shorts and a tank top, too…”, Yibo mumbled, not knowing what to say further. He just got undressed quickly and walked to the first gym equipment in his way, that was a treadmill. 

He plugged the machine and randomly touched the screen, almost kissing the ground when the running deck started to run at light speed.

Luckily Xiao Zhan was fast enough to pull him off from the deck and catch him in his arms.
But he couldn’t hold his balance, so they both fell down to the ground, with Yibo on top of his Ge.

“What the hell, Perrito! I can understand that you’re excited for this gym session, but don’t start with the highest speed level, ha, ha!”, Xiao Zhan laughed, shaking both their bodies with his laughter, but not unwrapping his arms from around Yibo’s torso.

“I’m sorry, did you hit your head or back?”, Yibo slipped a hand behind Xiao Zhan’s nape.
“It’s because I honestly forgot how these things work. The last time I went to a gym was in my first year of college. But I still vividly remember how excited my dad was when he gave me as a birthday present a gym membership.”, Yibo whispered with tears shining in his eyes. 

“Oh, don’t be sad, my Gouzaizai, you’re breaking my heart, shhh, everything is alright.”, Xiao Zhan tightened his arms around Yibo who was still lying on top of him, like it was nothing unusual to do so.
“You loved your dad so much, but I told you before and I’m telling you again that he is happy there where he is, knowing that you’re loved. Very loved! And he is very proud  that his son is a hero. Now give me one of those beautiful smiles of yours that I love so much! “, Xiao Zhan smiled and kissed both of Yibo’s cheeks.

“No, he is not proud, on the contrary. I’m not a hero, I’m just a worthless deceiver, you have no idea.
But, you’re right, let’s not get sad, I’m sorry Zhan Ge for ruining your day.”, Yibo sighed, squirming up from the embrace that he loved so much, but that it was already becoming a weirdly  prolonged embrace.
“It will soon come the time when I will finally get free from all these lies! Even though the price will be of losing everyone’s love…your love…”, he thought in his mind. 

Xiao Zhan didn’t ask him questions anymore, even though he didn’t understand what Perrito was talking about. He wanted to distract him away from the sad memories, so he stood up and dragged Yibo to a bench:
“We can work out without equipment, too.
Lie here Perrito onto your back and raise up your arms. I will try to push down your arms.
Let’s compete to see who is stronger.
The loser must drink an alcohol sample bottle from the box. Don’t worry, there are those kinds of small sample bottles of wine, gin, vodka, whisky and baijiu, besides a big bottle of whisky and one of champagne.”

Yibo did what he was told to, saying in his thoughts a quick prayer, asking gods for Zhan Ge to not notice, or even worse, feel, the tent already formed in his loose shorts. Especially when Xiao Zhan parted his thighs and climbed up his knees between his legs.
He tried hard to ignore the arousing feeling of their plastered palms and interlocked fingers. And also, he tried not to listen to the way Xiao Zhan was breathing hard and grunting almost erotically, when working to push his arms down.

“God have mercy on me!”, he shouted at the smack of their two front bodies meeting when his arms snapped and Xiao Zhan collapsed on top of him.

“Oh, no! Did I hurt you?”, Xiao Zhan panicked, propping onto his palms and trying to get up.

He quickly needed an explanation for his weird request.
“Because I need a short break from effort. And also because this way we will be even, I stood on top of you, now it’s you on top of me…Jeez, why does it sound like, ermm…”, he tripped in his own wording.

They kept playing this strength game, winning and losing by turn, until they finished all the alcohol sample bottles.

“I’m tired and my muscles feel sore. I also feel drunk already and I’m hungry. And I’m all sweaty.”, Yibo said, wiping the sweat from his forehead with the back of his palm.
“Should we take a shower before or after eating, hic? Sorry!”, he cutely apologized for hiccuping.

“He, he, you cutie pie!”, Xiao Zhan pinched Yibo’s cheek.
“I think I’m drunk, too. And hungry, as well. Hungry for you, he, he…sorry, it was a stupid joke. I told you that I’m drunk, yeah, I’m definitely drunk! Maybe eating will do good to me!
I’d say to eat a frugal snack at least, before showering.”

“A nurse found it in MianMian’s ward, where you forgot it. We could have waited until you’d come for the New Year dinner , but I thought that you might be worried.
Anyways, we apologize for intruding like this, I think that we’re disturbing you.”

“No, no, you’re not disturbing. You made me so happy, thank you very much for bringing me the phone. You even went to the hospital to pick it up! It’s true that I was rather utterly destroyed than only worried.
I don’t invite you inside because I didn’t have time to clean and the whole house is a mess.”, Yibo tried his best to not look like an aSshole for not even inviting them inside after provoking so much bother to them.

“Yes, ZhanZhan GeGe is driving the rented car. But, it’s true that we heard a voice, I heard it, too.
I was actually hoping to see your turtle pet, about which I heard so much.
Are you hiding something or someone in there, whom we aren’t supposed to see?”, GuangYao jokes, tiptoeing to try seeing inside.

“He hides his girlfriend? MianMian?”, GuangYao gasped, not understanding the supposed joke.

“Not his actual girlfriend, MianMian, but his wannabe girlfriend Cheng Xiao!”, Xiao Zhan replied, loud enough to be heard by the person mentioned.

“Did someone call me?”, a head popped up from behind Yibo who was clutching to the door frame, close to a heart attack.
Why was he even so scared about it?

You shouldn’t have worried, when I told you that I believed your explanation about this girl, I was telling you the truth.

Woah, I have never seen someone as beautiful as you!”, GuangYao kept talking at an abnormal speed yet in a whispering voice.

May I know your name?”, the girl replied, blushing and playing with her hair in a flirty way.

“Perrito, let’s leave these two alone and give them some privacy, they seem like they’re both stricken by Cupid.”, Xiao Zhan whispered in Yibo’s ear while feeding the turtle.

“Yeah, please excuse us, we will bring this box to the car. Thank you Cheng Xiao once again for this, it will be much appreciated by everyone at the New Year dinner where I am invited to.”, Yibo grabbed the opportunity to reject the girl without much damage. Especially now that she seemed bewitched by GuangYao’s admiration for her.

Xiao Zhan and GuangYao exchanged keys, while Cheng Xiao asked GuangYao to wait for her in the car as she needed to get dressed and fix her makeup.

On their way to the place where they needed to stop by, Xiao Zhan explained everything to Wang Yibo:
“The thing is that a good friend of GuangYao asked him to do him this favor.
This dude is the owner of a fitness center and he is on a short abroad trip with his longtime crush, who had finally accepted his love. Hmm, it seems like everyone is getting love these days.

“Anyways, let’s go, people are starting to look weird at us. I forget sometimes that China is not Spain.
So, this dude gave YaoYao all the keys to the fitness center he owns, when he went on this trip. He also gave YaoYao’s phone number to the building’s owner, to be called if something would happen.”

“Don’t tell me that a pipe had broken in that building, too!”, Yibo exclaimed.

“You’re not gonna believe it, but yes, not exactly a pipe, but something close to that.
By the way, did your apartment have a problem from that pipe incident?”

“No, I was lucky, thank god! The neighbors two floors below mine were not as lucky as me.
But, tell me about the fitness center’s problem.”

“YaoYao went this morning to water the plants and he forgot to…ha, ha, god he is headless. He will make a great match with your girlfriend, ha, ha!”, Xiao Zhan couldn’t stop laughing.

Luckily he didn’t call the police, because he was brave enough to get inside and check out if there was a burglar, and when he saw that there was nothing out of the place, he just called our YaoYao.
The building owner was nice enough to wait in front of the building until YaoYao would come with the keys. This is the address YaoYao gave me.
Oh, look, that guy smoking there on the stairs, must be the building owner.
We should ask him to not tell YaoYao’s friend about what happened.”

“Yes, we should do that. Let me check out if there is something in this box to give him as a thank you gift for the time he spent here waiting for us, instead of celebrating at home. There is a pack of coffee and some cigarette packs. He is a smoker, I bet he drinks coffee too.”, Yibo happily smiled.

“Here is a hair salon and this one is a tanning salon.
Let’s take the elevator, I assume that it’s on the second floor!”, Xiao Zhan said after checking out a few rooms numbers and the number attached to their key.

“Oh, my god, this is quite a modern gym! I didn’t expect that.”, Yibo exclaimed after unlocking the door of the fitness center and walking inside.

“Why do you say that?”, Xiao Zhan asked, following him with the box in his arms.

“I don’t know, maybe because the building looks pretty old from outside and also because who would still use regular keys nowadays instead of electronic systems to secure their doors, especially if you are an owner of a business?”, Yibo wondered.

“The building looks great inside, though. Maybe the building owner didn’t get yet to modernize everything. And probably the rent is pretty affordable so that’s why YaoYao’s friend chose this place.”, Xiao Zhan explained while kicking the door closed with his foot, as his arms were busy with the box, but got startled at Yibo’s screamed “No!”.

Yibo bolted to the door and started to shake, push, and kick the door knob:
“Oh, my god! It’s blocked! We are locked in here!
I didn’t take the key out of the lock, and you kicked the door closed!”

“What do you mean? The key is in the outside lock?
We are locked inside?
This is karma kicking my rude aSs!
I laughed at YaoYao, calling him headless for leaving the door ajar!
And now look at the headless me! Kicking the door closed!”, Xiao Zhan punched the wall in frustration after dropping down the box.

“Zhan Ge, it’s not your fault, it was me who was headless, not getting the key out of the lock as soon as I unlocked the door! Jeez, I am stupid!
Thank God that I didn’t leave my backpack outside with the phone in it, too.
I hate that we must ruin GuangYao’s courtship time, but we have no other choice but to call him. I will ask him to come unlock us, no matter how embarrassing this will be!”, Yibo whined, facepalming himself, before rummaging in his backpack to look for his phone.

Besides, it would be a pity to not take advantage that it’s for free!

“Yes, I’m in! But please tell GuangYao to apologize to NaiNai on my behalf and promise her that I will make up to her. I really love your whole family, but I have a weak spot for NaiNai.”, Yibo sighed, blushing hard at Xiao Zhan’s next words.

“I will go look around while you talk with GuangYao.”, Yibo turned his back to hide his flustered cheeks from his Ge.

After ending the call, Xiao Zhan explained to Yibo that there was nothing to feel regret for disturbing Guang Yao because he was already at the Jin residence, enjoying the whole family’s attention to him along with Cheng Xiao who was invited to spend the New Year’s Eve there.

“YaoYao will come to unlock us in the morning when he will bring the girl home.
And don’t worry that someone could steal the key or something. No one would wander in the building on New Year night, not even the building’s owner.
Luckily the heater is not off! “, Xiao Zhan said, while getting his sweater off.

“What are you doing?”, Yibo freaked out when Xiao Zhan started to unzip his jeans.

“I’m getting undressed, what else? Why, do you intend to work out wearing all those thick winter clothes?
Jeez, you’re like a scared virgin girlie! What the heck, we are both men, nothing new you didn’t see before! We both have, hmm… Besides, I chose to wear shorts today, not boxers, for some incomprehensible reason.

“No, I’m not scared. It’s just that…I wear shorts and a tank top, too…”, Yibo mumbled, not knowing what to say further. He just got undressed quickly and walked to the first gym equipment in his way, that was a treadmill.

He plugged the machine and randomly touched the screen, almost kissing the ground when the running deck started to run at light speed.

Luckily Xiao Zhan was fast enough to pull him off from the deck and catch him in his arms.
But he couldn’t hold his balance, so they both fell down to the ground, with Yibo on top of his Ge.

“What the hell, Perrito! I can understand that you’re excited for this gym session, but don’t start with the highest speed level, ha, ha!”, Xiao Zhan laughed, shaking both their bodies with his laughter, but not unwrapping his arms from around Yibo’s torso.

“I’m sorry, did you hit your head or back?”, Yibo slipped a hand behind Xiao Zhan’s nape.
“It’s because I honestly forgot how these things work. The last time I went to a gym was in my first year of college. But I still vividly remember how excited my dad was when he gave me as a birthday present a gym membership.”, Yibo whispered with tears shining in his eyes.

“Oh, don’t be sad, my Gouzaizai, you’re breaking my heart, shhh, everything is alright.”, Xiao Zhan tightened his arms around Yibo who was still lying on top of him, like it was nothing unusual to do so.
“You loved your dad so much, but I told you before and I’m telling you again that he is happy there where he is, knowing that you’re loved. Very loved! And he is very proud that his son is a hero. Now give me one of those beautiful smiles of yours that I love so much! “, Xiao Zhan smiled and kissed both of Yibo’s cheeks.

“No, he is not proud, on the contrary. I’m not a hero, I’m just a worthless deceiver, you have no idea.
But, you’re right, let’s not get sad, I’m sorry Zhan Ge for ruining your day.”, Yibo sighed, squirming up from the embrace that he loved so much, but that it was already becoming a weirdly  prolonged embrace.

Xiao Zhan didn’t ask him questions anymore, even though he didn’t understand what Perrito was talking about. He wanted to distract him away from the sad memories, so he stood up and dragged Yibo to a bench:
“We can work out without equipment, too.
Lie here Perrito onto your back and raise up your arms. I will try to push down your arms.
Let’s compete to see who is stronger.
The loser must drink an alcohol sample bottle from the box. Don’t worry, there are those kinds of small sample bottles of wine, gin, vodka, whisky and baijiu, besides a big bottle of whisky and one of champagne.”

Yibo did what he was told to, saying in his thoughts a quick prayer, asking gods for Zhan Ge to not notice, or even worse, feel, the tent already formed in his loose shorts. Especially when Xiao Zhan parted his thighs and climbed up his knees between his legs.
He tried hard to ignore the arousing feeling of their plastered palms and interlocked fingers. And also, he tried not to listen to the way Xiao Zhan was breathing hard and grunting almost erotically, when working to push his arms down.

“God have mercy on me!”, he shouted at the smack of their two front bodies meeting when his arms snapped and Xiao Zhan collapsed on top of him.

“Oh, no! Did I hurt you?”, Xiao Zhan panicked, propping onto his palms and trying to get up.

“No, no, don’t worry, I’m okay. Please, just stay still, let’s stay for a moment like this.”, Yibo whispered, hoping that if they would stay unmoved, the ‘problem’ would subside.
He quickly needed an explanation for his weird request.
“Because I need a short break from effort. And also because this way we will be even, I stood on top of you, now it’s you on top of me…Jeez, why does it sound like, ermm…”, he tripped in his own wording.

“Ha, ha, because it sounds like it sounds! Ha, ha, you’re such an adorable gouzaizai! A very sexy gouzaizai on top of that, no pun intended. Nobody could be blamed for falling in love with you! I mean for my MeiMei! No wonder that she fell in love with you.

They kept playing this strength game, winning and losing by turn, until they finished all the alcohol sample bottles.

“I’m tired and my muscles feel sore. I also feel drunk already and I’m hungry. And I’m all sweaty.”, Yibo said, wiping the sweat from his forehead with the back of his palm.
“Should we take a shower before or after eating, hic? Sorry!”, he cutely apologized for hiccuping.

“He, he, you cutie pie!”, Xiao Zhan pinched Yibo’s cheek.
“I think I’m drunk, too. And hungry, as well. Hungry for you, he, he…sorry, it was a stupid joke. I told you that I’m drunk, yeah, I’m definitely drunk! Maybe eating will do good to me!
I’d say to eat a frugal snack at least, before showering.”
