I sat down on Vic’s bed and sighed a bit. I had stopped questioning why I was here a little while ago and decided to just go with the flow. I mean, I was still a bit angry that I was left here, but it wasn’t that big of a deal anymore. It was only for one night.

“Do you want to do anything in particular?” Vic asked. He sat in a chair not far from where I was and crossed his legs.

“Not really,” I said. He nodded and looked down to play a game on his phone. I took the opportunity to look around his room more than I had before.

It was the same room. Nothing had changed. There were various posters on the wall, hanging lights, and the same furniture. This time, though, I looked at his wall flags. He had one that had some saying on it that was obscure to me and another that hung in front of one of the windows. It had different colors on it: pink, blue and white. The blue was on the outside on both ends and pink came next then white resided in the middle. It was kind of a weird flag but I shrugged it off. Maybe he was into weird things. When I looked over at him, he had turned his attention from the same flag and looked at me. He knew I was looking at it but he seemed… uncomfortable. I wondered why.

“I’m hungry,” I said. I neglected the question I wanted to ask and moved on. “I want pizza,” I didn’t want to ask it. He didn’t want me to.

“Mark could-“

“Let’s order pizza,” I suggested. I didn’t want Mark’s pizza. I wanted a fast-paced restaurant’s pizza complete with a delivery boy and garlic cheesy bread.

“Uh, alright. What kind do you want?” Vic asked. He held his phone in his hand and walked over to me, sitting on the bed but laying down. We were at opposite ends but I leaned back so my head faced the ceiling.

“I don’t know. What’s your favorite kind?”

“Hm, chicken and broccoli.” He smiled. I could hear it in his voice.

“That sounds… absolutely terrible.” I chuckled.

“No, no!” He laughed and sat up, leaning over me so our eyes met. I smirked a bit but sat up so he could move. “It’s actually good. It has white sauce and everything. It’s really good.”

“Why would you want vegetables on greasy food? That doesn’t sound right.”

“Tacos have lettuce.” He brought up. I nodded in agreement. He was right. “What’s your favorite type?”

“Hm, pepperoni and onion.”

“That’s worse!!” He threw his hands up and I turned towards him.

“What?! No, it’s amazing! It’s so beautiful,” I exclaimed. He shook his head in defiance and I grabbed his phone from him, dialing the pizza place’s number.

Quickly, I ordered medium pizzas of both types and hung up after telling them the address.

“You’re paying,” I commented.

“Why? Didn’t my dad just give you money?” He joked but soon he looked like he regretted it. “Sorry,”

“For what?” I looked at him with wonder. He was so… I don’t know. But anytime I looked at him I was intrigued and I kind of hated myself for it.

“You blew up before about it and I’m sorry for bringing it up again. I get it if you want to leave.” He looked away from my eyes but I turned my head so I could look at his eyes again. I think that’s what I liked looking at most of all.

“You have nothing to worry about,” I found myself saying as I looked into his eyes more. I was lost in them and it made my heart race. What the fuck, man? They were just a pair of eyes. So why couldn’t I look away?

“I-I, uh, Kellin?” Vic said, clearing his throat. HIs voice went high again but it didn’t go back to low. It stayed the way it was for a while and I nodded, pulling my gaze away from his.

“Your voice sounds weird.” I got up and walked towards the door. “Why?”

“What?” He said. His voice went back to what it was before and I mentally slapped myself. That was pretty stupid of me. Guys get nervous about puberty and stuff. I’m an asshole.
