Chapter 17
~Ryder~
I had no idea what Xavier has turned into. I never seen anything in my entire life. I know he was not a wolf. He wasn’t a cougar either. Something was just off. I was shocked of what I seen a couple hours ago. We are in his room. He is laying in my arms. He cried his self-asleep. He told me he didn’t want to be alone. I was scared for his life. I have to know what he was. But only I and Alena knew what happened. She still hasn’t talked much from earlier. I think she is still shocked and a little scared. I mean I am still shocked and scared also. I leaned his head off my arm and got up. I had to find out what he was. I went into Alena’s room and she turned around from her laptop looking at me. “I need to find out what he turned into.” I said with tears falling down my cheeks. “I’ve been looking and I think I know.” She told me. I walked over to her laptop and pictures of Coyote’s showed up. “He is a Coyote?” I asked. “Plus a banshee which makes him a little stronger.” She informed me. How can he be a Coyote when I’m a wolf and Alena is a cougar? This makes no since what so ever. “How?” I asked nervously. She turned to me. “A coyote is like a wolf. Also like a cougar. That is the only thing that will come up.” She sighed putting her face into her hands. If he is a coyote, then why did his eyes turn orange? I mean I never seen a coyote’s eyes before. So I guess that is the only assumption. I nodded and walked back into Xavier’s room. He was gone. “Xavier?” I shouted trying to find him. I looked into the bathroom and still nothing. “Help!” He said viciously. I turned around and his eyes are glowing orange and his claws really long. His teeth are sharp. “Xavier, calm down. You can fight this.” I point out. “DON”T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!” He shouts. Then he starts screaming grabbing onto his neck. I moved his hand and his wound is glowing. Literally glowing. “ALENA!” I shout and she comes running into the room. “Ok, why is his wound glowing?” She asked confused. I shrugged my shoulders. Then I thought of something. I bend down licking his wound. He screamed loudly. At least I know he is still a banshee. Then he turns back to normal. He is breathing really hard trying to catch his breath. “You’re going to be ok.” I informed him pulling him closely to me. “How…How…Long is this going to last?” He asked me still trying to breathe. “Not much longer.” I tell him and he starts to cry. Alena walks to the other side of him holding him also. “I can’t deal with this pain.” He says whipping his tears. “I know, I know.” I tell him rubbing his head as he cries into my chest. “YOU DON”T KNOW ANYTHING!” He snaps and throws me and Alena off of him. We go flying into the walls. I looked up and he was gone. “XAVIER!” I shout running after him. But he was long gone. He moved faster than I did.

I ran out into the woods and kept running. I can’t do this. My fingers hurt and my teeth. The pain is unbearable. Nothing I have ever felt before. It feels like needles inside my fingers and gums. I stop when it starts to rain. My ears begin to throb from how loud everything seems. My eyes start to glow orange again and I begin to scream. So loud that my ears start to ring even more. I couldn’t stop screaming. I was in so much pain I couldn’t stop. I kept screaming and screaming. “XAVIER!” Shouted a man with a deep voice. I look up and see my father standing there. He runs towards me. Things start to turn orange. I could see in the dark. Now everything is dark.
I open my eyes and I am inside a cave. It looked familiar. I wipe my eyes and opened them completely. I’m at my dad’s. I run towards the door and my dad ran in front of me. “I am not going to hurt you Xavier. I would never.” Dad informed me. “GET OUT OF MY WAY!” I screamed. My eyes start to turn orange. “Xavier, you can beat this. Push it away.” He told me. I start breathing extremely hard. But then I calmed down and my eyes turned back to a normal color. “I want to help you son.” “I don’t want your help.” “You will want my help when the transformation gets worst.” “What do you mean?” “The transformation takes up all the way until the next full moon. Which is in a week. So one more week of annoying and unbearable pain.” My father informed. I stared at him wanting to cry. “I can deal with it on my own. I don’ need some guy like you who thinks he can walk back into my life and act like everything is ok. So thanks but no thanks.” I shouted and pushed him out of the way. “Xavier please! I just want to help you!” He shouted running towards me. “You want to know how you can help me. Stay out of my life. You did hell of a good job doing the best years.” I shouted and running off. I run to Ryder’s house but he wasn’t there. So I expected him to be at my house. But he wasn’t there either. I grabbed my phone and dialed his number. “Xavier?!” He shouted through the phone. “I need you right now. I am at home.” I said and the phone line went dead. I hear tire’s squeal outside my house 5 minutes later and the door slams open. “Now that is what I call an entrance.” I smiled at him and he came running to me hugging me so tightly. “Where did you go? I was out all night looking for you. I even went to your dad’s and he said you weren’t there.” “I was at my dad’s. After I ran off, it started to rain and I screamed and screamed from the pain. He came up and took me too his place. Hours later I woke up on his couch.” I responded. He clinched his fist together. I grab his hands and pull him closer to me. “I want you to help me until the next full moon. Because I will keep going through this until that full moon. And I cannot do it without you. I need you more than ever right now.” I pointed out. He leaned down and kissed me. This time it felt desperate. Like he missed me so much. But then it got stronger more passionate. He threw me against the wall and I moaned. I started to giggle and I threw him against the wall. “I can get used to this.” He laughed. I rolled my eyes and he lifted me up into his arms. I wrap my legs around him and held me up. He licked my wound and the door opened. “Boys!” Shouted mom. He let me down and we started to laugh. “Come on. Seriously no PDA in my house when I am around!” She shouted. We laughed harder. My mom then stared at me like she knew something was wrong. “What is it mom?” I asked her. She walked closer to me putting her hands on my face. “You are transforming into a coyote?” She asked. “Okay you need to stop with that whatever you do. It freaks me out mom.” I raised my eyebrow to her. “How did this happen?” She asked looking at me and Ryder. “When I marked him, my wolf went to deep. And then Alena had to come and put her blood into the bite too save him. And so when wolf blood and cougar’s blood mixes a coyote forms. We all know Cougars and wolfs don’t get along too much. So he is going through a lot of pain right now.” Ryder informed her. “How much does it hurt?” She asked me. “So much where I screamed and screamed to the pain it feels like needles going through my fingers and gums.” I responded. She pulled me closer and hugged me. “I hate that you are going through this. I never thought you would too.” She tells me. “What do you mean?” I asked. “My sister, Jewels. She is a coyote also.” She informs me. Why didn’t jewels ever tell me? We are so close, and for her to not tell me hurts so much. But how she is one is something I don’t know how. “Can you drive me to Jewels house?” I asked Ryder. He nodded and we walked out heading to his car. I can’t believe she is a coyote. She can help me through this too. I just started to get angry about the fact she never told me. Breathe Xavier Breathe. I kept telling myself over and over. We pulled into her driveway and we got out. I knocked on the door waiting for an answer. “Xavier, Ryder, what are you doing here?” She asked taking a drink of her wine. “We need to talk.” I tell her and walked inside. “Sure, you can come in.” She tells us and shuts the door. “What’s wrong?” She asked me. “I am transforming into a coyote.” I tell her and she gasps. “Oh sweetie….” She says looking at me. “Why didn’t you tell me you are one?” I asked her forcefully. She sits us down and began to talk. “I never told you because I never wanted others to know. Coyotes are hunted more than wolfs. But by the same hunters. And the pain I went through was unbearable. I got bit the day after the full moon by a wolf. Who was also my mate. We were so in love. Then the hunters killed him. But he was just like you Ryder. He was a rare alpha. The wolfs wanted him more. But when he marked me, he went too deep and so my mother, your grandma, had to put her cougar blood in me. My veins turned black. I had to go a long time before the next full moon. So the pain was something I couldn’t stand. But after a while I got used to it. A cougar and a wolf do not get along. And when both of their DNA’s mix, they fight each other inside of you until they are formed together. It’s like werewolf’s and vampire’s. They hate each other. But the fact is, you will get used to the pain. But since you are a banshee like you mother, the pain will be worst then what I felt. Because a banshee is like death and death, does not like werewolves nor cougars.” She says. I gulp. “You just have to beat it. You have to overthrow it. Fight it. Because you are stronger then what that transformation is. And once you believe it you will beat it.” She smiles at me. I smile back. I lean in and give her a hug. “You will beat this. I know you will. You son are a fighter.” She says rubbing my back. “Got that right.” Ryder says. I and Jewels started to laugh. “If you need me, just come here.” Jewels tells me and hugs me goodbye. Ryder and I walked off to the car heading back home. “Can I stay with you tonight?” I asked. He looked at me and smiled. “Of course. My home is yours now, you know that right?” He asked me. I nodded and grabbing his hand from the gear shift. I can’t believe that everything that is his is mine now also. And everything that is mine is his now. That feeling is just amazing.
