Hey readers! I really feel good about this Chapter and I hope you’ll enjoy it! The photo is a picture of what Neal probably looks like! Thanks so much for reading my book it really means a lot to me. 🙂
~BRUCE~
As the doctor inspected me I twiddled my thumbs with intense nervousness. “Try to calm down Mr. Banner, this’ll only take a moment.”
I started trembling in anger, my breath slowly getting faster and harder. “You said that 5 minutes ago!” I snapped angrily. I looked at the doctor with intense rage. The doctor jumped back obviously scared of this sudden change of emotion. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to contain myself before someone got hurt. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to startle you.”
The doctor shaking said “it’s o-okay.” and continued on as if I didn’t just yell at him. After what felt like an hour of him examining my head, the doctor said you’re all good to go. “Let me just get some papers for your discharge,” and he left quickly. As he walked back in he had a pen and paper with a “please hurry” look on his face. I took no time to hesitate, and before he left he said “Oh and please refrain from doing any strenuous activities, the best thing for you to do is rest.”
“Ya rest isn’t really a thing I do much” I muttered.
“Well I suggest you start getting used to it Mr. Banner.” the doctor stated.
My uber was already waiting for me when I got outside. As she put her phone up on the holder she gave me an odd look obviously noticing my tattered clothes. She squinted as she read the directions and turned to me with a smile saying “The Randolph Hotel, right?” I nodded and she drove not saying much on the way there.
I liked the silence, it gave me some time to clear my head. As I looked through the car window I slowly and surprisingly nodded off to sleep. When I woke up we were almost at the hotel. “You sure fell asleep fast,” she giggled. I let out a tired smile in response.
“I usually don’t sleep that easily, my head must’ve needed it.” I said, under my breath.
“Well… here we are, I hope you enjoyed your ride.” she said beaming.
“Thanks I did.” and I handed her a £ 80.
She let out a huge grin, saying “Sir you know you already paid through the app, you didn’t have to do that.”
I chuckled and said “I know, thanks for the ride.” As I left, her jaw was still open in disbelief. When I got into my luxury suit, I threw myself on my Double bed. I checked the clock on the nightstand and it read 2:30 p.m. Remembering what the doctor said about getting tons of sleep, I decided to rest and deal with work later. I quickly and happily let the silk sheets envelop me in a cocoon.
I closed my drained eyes and it didn’t take long for me to nod off into a peaceful sleep, once again. I was awakened by the loud buzz of my phone, which I found under my pillow. When I saw the number I immediately knew what it was for and answered, slightly reluctant.
“Hey Deborah,” I answered tiredly.
“I texted you like 8 times! Anyways I think I found a really good spot!”
“You said that last time.” I stated irritably.
“Ya but that space wasn’t this space, trust me you’ll love it!”
“Okay, okay I’ll check it out as long as you stop yelling you’re gonna give me a headache.”
“Sorry, and I’ll text you the directions. How’s… 10:30 in the morning sound?”
“That sounds great.” I said with slight sarcasm in my tone.
“Okay see you at 10:30 a.m. then. Bye Mr. Banner!”
As I hung up my phone I checked the time and it was already 7:10 p.m. Geez time flies when you’ve had a concussion.” I said to myself as I tossed my phone on the bed. After a few minutes of lying in bed staring at the ceiling I got up, took a hot shower, and changed into a tank top and sweatpants.
I dried my short, dark, brown hair off with a towel and tossed it in the dirty clothes, as I walked outside to the balcony. I rested my elbows on the railing and took a few relaxing deep breaths. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt so at peace.
My head suddenly started to hurt again from my concussion, and just like that good feeling gone. “The Other Guy ” seemed to respond negatively to my pain. I threw my hands on the railing and tightened my grip, nearly breaking the railing as I groaned in pain. I started to scream while my veins popped out of my neck and my arms. I fell back, my whole body aching, but especially my head.
It was pounding fast and hard and with each beat I felt more and more pain. As I tried to focus on my breathing I noticed the smell of cinnamon wafting outside and my mind immediately thought of Neal. My pulse started to slow down and my breath became calmer. I loosened my fists as my veins seeped back under my skin. I focused on his honey colored eyes and his loose curls that fell over his hazel skin. God and his warm smile. What I wouldn’t give to see that again.
For a second it felt as though I was truly controlling “The Other Guy” for the first time, but it only lasted for a second. I tried to focus back on Neal but it was too late. I could already see my tan skin starting to turn green and I yelled “No, Please!” helplessly as I blacked out.
The next thing I knew it was morning, and I woke up feeling the soft grass on my face. I rubbed my eyes tired, but mostly in relief knowing that I didn’t hurt anybody even though I destroyed a park. I sat up and looked around noticing that the park looked like a tornado went through it. I noticed a woman staring at me blushing from the pavement. I looked down and realized I was basically naked with only the tatters of my sweatpants covering my genitals.
When she saw me looking back at her she quickly looked away and left. I tried to cover myself as best as I could and made a run for it back to my hotel. When I finally managed to make it back to the hotel, I got lots of stares from the other hotel guests, eating their complimentary breakfast. I took the stairs (for obvious reasons) and finally made it back to my hotel suite.
As I went to the bathroom to take another shower I noticed a couple cuts and bruises on my chest and arms, but nothing too serious. As I turned on the shower, I waited a few seconds for the water to get hot, which never took long. I hopped in and immediately groaned feeling the water hit the cuts on my muscles. As I let the hot water soak my body my mind wandered to Neal again.
I thought of his slender form, and especially what it would be like naked. My cock started to get hard and I could feel my body needing some kind of release. As I gripped my shaft, stroking it up and down, I thought of Neal’s soft skin against mine and pictured his hands move along my dick in an intense bout of pleasure. Before I knew it, I ejaculated in utter delight, letting out a slight, but present moan.
After I finished washing up, I picked up my phone and saw a text from Deborah that read “Don’t forget 10:30!” With the address of the space below. I of course arrived before Deborah and rolled my eyes in annoyance. I took a second glance at the space and my jaw dropped. Deborah walked in a hurry and said “Sorry I’m late!” When I finally gathered myself again I said “This is the perfect place for Banner Labs.” The space was huge, and just perfect enough for all the equipment and laboratories to fit in. Deborah let out a smile and winked saying “I told you so.”
When I returned back to my hotel room I drowned myself in work trying to take my mind off of Neal, but it was pointless. I would never see him again and it was my fault. God, why didn’t I just ask for his number?! As I sat at my desk almost pouting, I realized he told me that he went to Oxford and he was part of the science department. Maybe I could get his information! I thought. I then grunted in discouragement when the lady on the phone said she can’t disclose any students’ information.
As I hung up the phone in anger, I rubbed my temples trying to relax my brain so I wouldn’t have another episode. After a few minutes of sitting and thinking, my eyes widened. I picked up the phone and called again, this time with a hopeful smirk painted on my face.
