~NEAL~

God I hate walking home, I mean ya Oxfords a beautiful city but I’ve only been here a few weeks, I thought. I don’t even know the area that well. I tried to ignore the fear that comes with walking at night alone, but it was futile. “And of course my favorite part of walking home at night, the creepy dark alley.” I said to myself sarcastically.

As I started down the alley I heard a loud thud. My heart raced like never before. Everything seemed to stop except for my panic, that definitely was still present. The loud thud was followed by a mysterious figure stumbling into the end of the alleyway. I stood frozen in fear for what seemed like forever, I decided to clench my backpack tight and stupidly take the brave course. The figure now revealing to be a tall man suddenly fell to the floor.

As I walked down I noticed the man’s clothes half torn showing his chiseled physique. Feeling uncertain but wanting to help I raced towards the man and asked “Are you okay?” but there was no response. As I stepped closer to him cautiously, the streetlight at the end of the alley revealed his blood, and lots of it trickling down from his temple. “Oh god uh you’re not okay.” I stuttered “oh shit uhh there’s a hospital about 5 blocks from here, but we gotta hurry!” I said, my voice shaking.

As I used all his strength to awkwardly hold him up the man replied with a grunted “thank you” in pain. I looked up at him under the streetlight getting slightly distracted by his perfectly sculpted face. I could feel the man’s thick, sweat-drenched, muscles as they pulsated with every breath softly rubbing against his own. I quickly snapped out of it when I heard a loud groan expel from the man’s soft lips.

I trudged on, trying to focus my mind on getting to the hospital and not the fact that I was carrying a sculpture with glasses to a hospital 5 blocks away. As we continued to walk to the hospital, I stole several glances at the dark-haired man and realized there was something familiar about him. It was as if I saw him from somewhere, but before I could let my mind wander we were almost at the hospital doorsteps. I used the last of my energy to keep this man hoisted up a little longer before my weak arms and legs would give out.

While me and the half-conscious man walked through the hospital doors it was as if everything happened so fast. Before I could even say goodbye to him, he was already being wheeled into another room and I was standing there dumbfounded. The nurse had some questions for me, for which of course I answered “I don’t know” for most of them since I just acted as a free walking taxi for this unknown guy. After the round of questions the frustrated nurse snapped at me “that’s all.” she gave me a look as if to say “you can leave the hospital now.” As I turned to leave I cursed myself and walked back to sit down in the waiting room.

I tried to focus on the news that was on the small tv, they were going on about some unexplainable attack and how some people might have witnessed a giant green animal. I just rolled my eyes and said to myself, “geez the news exaggerates everything.”

My mind drifted back to whoever this handsome John Doe was, he just seems so… familiar. As I sat in the waiting room I looked at my watch and realized it was almost 1 p.m. I should’ve left but I didn’t care. I just wanted to see if he was okay. I started to drift off and with every second my eyes started to get heavier until it was completely dark.

I woke up with my whole body aching from the other night, the wooden hospital chairs didn’t really help either. The same nurse that was so grumpy to me hours ago now had a genuine smile on her face. “Mr. Wright” the nurse said cheerfully

“yep” I replied groggily

“Mr. Banner just woke up!” I ran my hands through my curly black hair and replied

“okay” still a little dazed but happy the man was okay. Then in a split second I looked up with the realization painted on my face. My eyes filled with shock and excitement and I yelped “wait, what was his name?!”

~BRUCE~

I was awakened by the echoing beep of the monitor that rang throughout the room. Alarm filled my face when I realized that I was in a hospital. What came as an even bigger surprise to me though, was that I didn’t remember what had happened the night before.

I always recalled the events that took place the night before, especially the nights I “changed”, those nights definitely left a scar in my mind, but this morning was different. My brain felt pretty fuzzy and whenever I tried to recall what happened my head rewarded me with agonizing pain. The door suddenly swung open and in walked a nurse who seemed all too happy to be in a hospital. “I see you’re awake” she said gleefully. She quickly wrote some information down on her chart sheet and continued on.

The nurse had some basic questions for me like “what’s your name?” and “how many fingers am I holding up?” After the round of questions, I asked her what had happened to me while she examined the side of my head. The nurse said “According to Mr. Wright you passed out on an alleyway and he carried you to the hospital.”

I interrupted saying “Wait, how did I – ”

The nurse continuing said “You suffered a minor concussion.”

Well that explains my sudden loss of memory I thought. “Your memory should return soon.” the nurse said reading the expression on my face. “Oh and by the way, Mr. Wright seems pretty eager to see you… if you don’t mind?” she said laughing.

“I’d love to.” I replied curiously.

“I’ll be right back then.” the nurse said as she left the room.

My mind again wandered back to the events of last night and didn’t recall an alleyway or anyone rescuing me, for that matter. What I did recall was what occurred when “The Other Guy” took control. The instant feeling of guilt and pain I thought I avoided this morning instantly came back. The shame I felt slowly suffocated me until it was unbearable. My breath became shorter and faster with every beat of the monitor and I started to panic, my eyes slowly welling up with tears.

The door opened again. I looked up and the world seemed to stop, all my panic and pain seemed to evaporate as if they never were there, to begin with. I couldn’t help but stare at the beautiful honey-colored eyes that soothed me into utter euphoria. This young man’s inviting smile that followed gave me the first breath of fresh air I’d felt in months, and I was more than glad to revel in it.

It seemed like forever until we exchanged words, but the young man broke the silence by asking “Are you okay?” I answered

“Much better now that you’re here.” I felt slightly embarrassed for letting that slip out, but seeing his smile again was worth the embarrassment.

The young man nervously laughed and said “thanks.”

“No, thank you very much for saving my life” I protested. “I mean you could’ve left me on that alleyway to bleed out but you saved me.”

“It’s no problem, it was just the right thing to do, and plus I didn’t know I was saving the Dr. Banner! Your paper on the advancements of nuclear physics was eye-opening!” the young man exclaimed.

“I impressively raised my eyebrow saying you know of my work?” The cute boy said

“Know of? You inspired me to become a scientist, I actually study here at Oxford College.

“Oh so you’re a physics major huh?” I replied.

“Well… I’m also considering Biochemistry but nothing is really set in stone yet.”

“I prefer nuclear physics. Personally I like to get my hands dirty” I winked suggestively.

The young man smiled with that same smile of tempting seductiveness, which made me slightly aroused. The young man bit his lip and turned his gaze towards the hospital room window. Obviously trying to change the subject to something a little more wholesome, he said “Well uh so… I’m Neal, uh Neal Wright.” he held out his hand and I took it feeling his soft caramel skin against mine.

I slowly lowered his hand to my nether regions letting Neal feel my bulging erection. Neal bit his lip down hard until it almost bled. Then I laced my fingers along his curly raven hair, I tightened my grasp intertwining my fingers with Neal’s beautiful thick locks. Neal cocked his head back in compliance. With my other hand I rubbed my thumb softly across Neals bottom lip and gently stuck my thumb in Neals mouth, Neal tightened his wet lips around my thumb, suffocating my finger in a moist entrapment that slowly moved up and down from the tip to the base getting tighter and faster with each stroke.

As an act of revolt Neal slightly pressured his teeth against my thumb grazing it ever so slightly. I enjoyed this slight act of defiance and rewarded him with a kiss on the neck. I then passionately sucked his soft caramel skin whilst nudging my nose against the underside of Neals jaw. Neal let out a soft moan, showing his appreciation. His neck smelled of cinnamon only enhancing my arousal. Neal started to moan my name saying “Dr. Banner” over and over again.

Then in an instant, I was pushed back into the reality of Neal shaking my hand saying “Dr. Banner are you alright?” I blinked my eyes a bit and lied, saying I was fine, and Neal quickly let go of my hand. I tried to convince myself that this must’ve been a side effect of the concussion, but deep down I knew this was a fantasy brought on by my desire for Neal.

“Sorry about that,” I said.

Neal scratched the back of his head nervously and laughed saying “oh it’s okay I just thought you needed the nurse or something.” I erupted in laughter and he joined me, still laughing with a tinge of nervousness. The laughter was interrupted with Neal who shouted “oh shit, I’m gonna be late for my 7:30 class, uhh I gotta go, but it was really nice saving your life, Dr. Banner!”

I replied slightly defeated saying “you can call me Bruce, I at least owe you that much for saving my life.” Neal smiled and turned to leave when I said “wait I didn’t ask-” Seeing that he was in a rush I said “never-mind” and in a flash, Neal was gone. I cursed myself for not having the balls to ask for his number and sighed in defeat, shaking my head disappointingly.
