The red and yellow lights of lanterns illuminated in the darkness, as Taehyung led Jaemin through the lively street.
It’s month’s first day festival, celebrating it for the peace and prosperity of the month.
Last time Jaemin went to this festival was about ten years ago, with his brother, but he got scared seeing the crowd and his brother took him back home quickly.
But now he is not as scared as that time. So here he is enjoying the festival with one of his lover beside him, holding hands softly yet firmly.
They have been walking through the streets for sometimes now. Taehyung was carrying all the things they brought from the stalls, snacks, drinks, charms, some books etc.
As they passed by one shop, Jaemin’s eyes locked with a moon pendant. It was a beautiful golden crescent moon, with a white stone hanging from the upper curve of the moon, sparkling under the lantern’s light.
“Shall we try to win it?” Taehyung asked seeing him staring at the pendant. A wide smile appeared on Jaemin’s face, as he nodded his enthusiastically.
It was a ‘throw hoops to win the gift’ stall. The vendor handed them a hoop for a coper coin.
Refusing Taehyung’s help Jaemin decided to win the pendant by himself. But even after throwing about thirteen hoops he didn’t get that pendant.
“You are really bad at it.” Taehyung teased buying more hopps from the stall owner. “Watch and learn.”
The taller threw the hoops only for it to miss the aim. With an embarrassing laugh, he tried again and again. They all turned out to be failure, even after he threw almost fifteen hoops.
“I think you learned from me.” Jaemin giggled, covering his lips. Seeing his giggle Taehyung’s eyes softened, but the pout still didn’t leave his lips.
“You can take it for free.” The vendor said, seeing their sad faces.
An excited smile made in to their face as Taehyung pick it up from the middle aged man, and clasped it around Jaemin’s neck. The smaller’s eyes shone as he looked at the pendant and then at Taehyung.
Holding each other’s hands they continued their exploration, sharing small bites of traditional festival snacks.
As they strolled past another vendor, Taehyung bought a cup of rice wine to sample, offering it to Jaemin with a playful grin. The taste was sweet so Jaemin chugged some more cups of wine.
It didn’t take long, he started swaying and his cheeks and ears turned bright red.
“Let’s go back home.” Taehyung said picking Jaemin up on his back as the smaller wrapped legs around his torso and hands around his neck.
As they walk out of the crowd, Jaemin inhaled the older male’s scent, nipping on his neck as if trying to eat him up.
“Stay still, Jaeminie.” Taehyung warned, his breath getting fast. Jaemin giggled, but still didn’t stop. “Are you challenging me?” With that Taehyung pulled him towards a secluded area and put him down. Pressing him in to the walll he growled. “Let’s see how you are going to escape.”
Taehyung pressed his lips against Jaemin’s neck nibbling there softly turning the flesh reddish. An involuntary moan left Jaemin’s mouth, making Taehyung stop and look at him. He glanced at the red plump lips, then captured it in a swift motion and nibbled on them, making Jaemin kiss back eagerly. That continued until they ran out of breath.
As if seeing Jaemin’s tired face, Taehyung again picked him up. “Let’s continue this at home.” Jaemin heard before dozing off in to tired sleep resting his head on Taehyung’s shoulder.
Hoseok watched as Jimin breathed heavily, his chest heaving up and down, sweat trickled down his soft skin making the blonde hair stick to his forehead, and his face was flushed red from dancing for long time with them. But still the wide familiar smile lingered on his plump lips, making Hoseok’s own lips curving up in to a big smile.
Jimin danced with them. Hoseok never imagined Jimin would know this dance. And he was sure it’s not him who knows it, it’s came from the smaller’s subconscious mind, it’s all Jaemin’s memory.
Hoseok decided to ignore the pang he felt at the thought of Jaemin. But he is not sad as much as he used to, the man in front of them is Jaemin, even though name and a little bit appearance is different, even though he don’t properly remember them, even though he don’t see them as his lovers, he is still their lover. And when the curse will over, maybe he would remember his past life clearly. Hoseok really hope for that.
“It was amazing.” Jimin whispered, his breath still slightly ragged. He plopped on the floor, the satisfied smile never leaving his lips.
Hoseok smiled so does other five in the room. “It was.”
“I have something to tell you.” Jimin started after they all calmed down. They all nodded, and he continued. “I don’t have much time here in this mansion. I am here for shooting of variety show. So I have to leave here by the end of next week. So we don’t have much time left to save you out of this mirror.”
Hoseok understood what Jimin is implying. The younger want them to tell him what happened in the past, and he wants to know how to lift this curse. But from what they know, removing the curse is related to Jaemin’s blood. That means now it’s Jimin’s blood. Will he be ready after knowing it could hurt him. And even if he is ready, the six of them don’t know anything more about lifting this curse.
“Jae-” Seokjin cleared his throat. “Jimin, we don’t know how to dispel this curse. All we know it is related to your blood. It could be harmful to you, if you tried to save us.”
“I don’t care. I want to help you.” Jimin said. Hoseok can see the determination in his eyes.
“Are you sure?” Yoongi asked hesitantly.
“Yes, tell me what to do.” Jimin nodded again.
Hoseok look at Jimin in concern. They already lost him in the past, they don’t want lose him again. His heart cracked just by think about it.
Looking around at his other lovers, Hoseok know they are all thinking the same. Taehyung and Jungkook’s eyes were teary already. The youngest two were the most closest to Jaemin after all. They all don’t want to lose him again.
“B- but Jimi-” Jungkook started only to cut off by Jimin.
“I want to help you. I don’t care whatever happens.” He seems like he is not ready to give up.
“Then,” Seokjin paused and took a deep breath. “You have to go to library and search there to find out how to remove this curse. Look for a book for curse lifting by Park Wonho.”
“Yeah, he is the one who know most about this curse.” Namjoon added.
Jimin nodded, picking up the rectangular thing he always carry around whenever he went there and looked in to it. The light from it made his face glow in the dark. Hoseok really don’t know, what that thing is.
“It’s already late for me to search today. But don’t worry, I will start searching from tomorrow.” Jimin assured.
“You won’t be coming here tomorrow?” Jungkook asked hesitantly.
“I probably will go straight to the library.” The younger answered.
“Oh. But can you at least come here before going back to your room?” Taehyung, who had been silent for this whole time, spoke.
A hint of confusion flashed in Jimin’s eyes, which disappeared in seconds. “I will.” The corner of his lips turned upward slightly.
“We will wait for you.” Taehyung whispered, but Jimin still heard it, as his smile widened more.
“I will see you tomorrow. For now I am going. Bye.” Jimin waved his hands and walked towards the closed door, only to stop as if he remembered something. “By the way, where is the library?” He asked with an embarrassed smile.
The six of them let out laugh at his adorable expression.
“It’s at the end of this hallway, big brown door with black and golden carvings. ‘Library’ is written above the door.” Yoongi answered, his gummy smile showing.
“Oh, okay. Thank you. I am leaving now.” With that Jimin went out closing the door behind him.
“Would he be okay?” Taehyung asked, his concerned eyes still lingering on the door.
“He will, Tae.” Jungkook assured Taehyung, but it sounds more like he is assuring himself.
“I hope.” Namjoon whispered.
“Me too.” Hoseok replied. Praying for all god to protect Jimin from the every harm in the world. He also prayed, the process for lifting the curse is not harmful to Jimin.
“Who is there?” Jimin halted in his steps, hearing a voice. His heart beat picked up, at the thought of getting caught while being at the second floor.
He has been so lost in his thoughts of what happened some moments ago in the dance room.
He danced with them, they told him to search the library, also the curse dispelling process can be harmful to him. But he don’t care, he wanted to save them, the only friends he made in his twenty one years of life. He wanted them to be with him, out of the mirror , out of the dance room, out of this mansion, out of their curse. Maybe his reason to save them is a little bit selfish, only for him to have friends, but he wanted to save them, even if it harmed him a little.
With this thoughts running through his head, he didn’t even tried to sneak out of the second floor. He just walked through the hallway towards the staircase, lost in thoughts.
But he should have been careful. Now he got caught.
“Jimin?” The the person said again as he turned towards the voice. “What are you doing here?”
In the small light from the down stairs, Jimin saw the man’s face, Hwang Wonhee.
What is he doing here in the second floor when they said no one is allowed here?
Jaemin looked at the strong sleek black horse, with an awed expression. It was one of the most beautiful horse he had ever seen in his life.
“He is called Bam.” Jungkook said, patting it’s neck softly and murmuring something in to his ears to which the animal snickered and nudged him like he is used to it.
“He can understand you?” Jaemin watched in fascination.
“Animals are most understanding, when you talk to them in their way.” Jungkook answered glancing at Jaemin with a teasing smile. Jaemin frowned unable to understand his words. “Come on, hop on. I will teach you how to ride.”
The smaller nodded, eyes bright with excitement. With a bit of guidance, he climbed up, and sat on the saddle. Jungkook followed the suit sitting behind him wrapping his arms securely around Jaemin’s waist, making his heart beat loud at the closeness.
“Relax your grip.” Jungkook murmured, covering Jaemin’s tiny hands with his own. “If you pull too hard, you will confuse him. Pull it gently.” The older’s warm breath hitting his ears made his cheeks heat up.
Jaemin leaned back in to Jungkook’s chest, easing his nervousness.
Slowly with rhythmic steps, Bam stepped forward, speeding up as time passed. Jaemin let out a breathy laugh, his long hair moving along with wind, as the horse trotted through the meadow.
“It’s peaceful.” Jaemin shouted, in excitement.
“It is.” He heard Jungkook’s giggle from behind as the hold on his hand became tighter.
After riding to his heart content, Jungkook slowed down the speed. The taller placed his chin on Jaemin’s shoulder and looked ahead, as they watched the sunset. The red hue on the sky reflected in their eyes, and joyful smile never left their lips.
“So, how do you like your first horse ride?” Jungkook asked.
“I enjoyed it more than I imagined.” Jaemin turned his head to look towards Jungkook, the wide exciting smile on his face turned in to a shy one as he found themselves just inches away from each other.
A slight smirk appeared on Jungkook’s lips, as he leaned in to press his lips against the smaller’s plumb ones. His one hand wrapped around Jaemin’s waist tightly as the he nibbled on the his lips gently. Soon Jaemin responded to it, their lips move in sync with each others, as the red hue of sky washed over them.
“I enjoyed it too.” Jungkook said, with a mischievous smile. “Just say a word when you want to ride again.” Jaemin nodded and he know his cheeks are brighter red than the sky.
