I yawned and covered my mouth with my soft, cotton sleeve.
I was exhausted, and I wanted to lay in my bed and dream the night away, but instead I was out walking around the neighborhood. No it wasn’t night, it was more dusk if anything. I looked at the sun’s orange and yellow rays shine through the trees. It wasn’t like I hadn’t seen it before, but I just continued to look at it. I guess I was so tired I zoned out because I heard someone’s dog bark which made me jump a little. I’m a day dreamer, that’s for sure, but I usually don’t day dream unless I’m listening to music. It’s true what they say about music; how it takes you to your own little world.
I kicked a pebble that lay on the black road that ran in a curved path. The road wasn’t even at all, so the rock rolled to the ditch on the side of the road.
I wasn’t on a free way or something. Like I said, I’m in my neighborhood, but down this road was nothing but trees and grass. People come down here to walk their dogs or sometimes even run. I like walking down here because it was usually peaceful. There was a large oak tree, it had to be at least a hundred years old because it was so big. I never ventured there though, I think it was because it was in the middle of a field with large rats and thorns. Not exactly something I want to do.
I was walking back to house, but my eyes got heavy. I was praying I could make it there without passing out from exhaustion. I’ve been really tired lately, and I don’t know why. Maybe because it’s summer and I’ve been sleeping all day and staying up all night. I’ve been stuck in my house for a couple weeks now. I only go on walks now, just to get away from that place.
Finally, I arrived at my house, and I wanted to just cuddle with my pillow right now. I slipped inside, making sure to be quiet cause I know my parents were asleep upstairs. I quietly walked upstairs and held onto the railing just incase I fell.
I opened the poster covered door to my room and stepped inside to the darkness. I slowly closed it, while still holding onto the knob to keep it from making any noise. I turned around, but the only light was from the moon shinning in my window. Wow, I guess it took awhile to get home. I didn’t even bother taking off my clothes and just pulled back the covers and slid into bed. I closed my eyes and I immediately fell asleep.
I groaned at the coldness that was surrounding my body. I sat up and felt dizzy from the migraine that beginning to form. “Good morning,” I groaned as the thick British voice echoed the room, which made my head hurt worse. “I’m sorry, I guess they affect you differently than the others,” I held my heaid in my hands and groaned in pain. I heard a slick ‘clink’ against the concrete floor, which I knew was glass. “Here drink this, it will make you feel better,” I picked up the glass and took a sip. “Hm, you did that without even questioning why,” I tried to look at him but my vision was blurred and darkness was all I saw.
“I’m sorry about that, but we couldn’t have you waking up and screaming to the world,” I blinked a couple times and finally adjusted my eyes. “Why am I here?” I asked him in a hoarse voice. He just smiled and patted my green hair roughly, making me wince. “I love your voice,” I didn’t even respond, I just sat there emotionless. “Maybe once the drugs wear off you’ll be in a better mood,” I looked at his figure in the darkness. “You drugged me?” he gave out a stiff chuckle. “I would hope so, unless you’re taking this really well,” I stretched my aching body and I could feel my migraine slowly fade away.
I don’t know if it was the drugs or the fact that I’m not the brightest crayon in the crayon box, but realization hit me that I was kidnapped. I felt my breathing get heavy. “Please don’t kill me, please don’t kill,” I begged. He turned on the light which made my eyes burn. “We aren’t going to kill you Deckland,” I adjusted my eye sight and looked at him. He was very slim, he looked around thirty and his eyes were black. He had distinctive frown lines and worry lines on his forehead. “Come with me,” I stood up, but was grabbed from behind which caused me to scream in surprise. “Shh, I’m is just putting handcuffs on,” I felt my heart beat a million times faster.
Please don’t be a sex auction house, or a black market, or a murder house. I was pulled into a room, but it had nothing but a dirty, old mattress (just the mattress, no bedframe or anything) and it had a rusted chain that was bolted into the wall. “Don’t worry, you wont be chained just yet,” I gulped and sat on the mattress. “Ok, let me give your file a check up,” I just sat there, trying not to throw up at the nervousness I felt. “Name?” he asked with a manila envelope and a pen. “Deckland,” I answered quietly. “I know that, I meant you full name: first, middle, last,” I nodded. “Deckalnd Shea Farris,” he nodded and wrote something down on the envelope. “Age?” “I just turned fifteen three months ago,” he nodded. “Still very young,” he mumbled to himself, and continued to write down, I’m assuming, what I said. “Birthday?” “May eighth, nineteen ninety eight,” he wrote it down quickly and looked at me. “Allergies?” I thought about it for a minute. “Um, I’m allergic to red and pink food coloring and lavender,” he nodded. “Now, you will need to get a physical done, just in case,” I widened my eyes. The thought of someone looking at my body was not on my To Do list today. Well neither was being kidnaped so I guess I lose either way.
“Well well,” the doctor said as I sat there with only my boxers on. They were hugging my crotch area way to tight, causing it to stick out. I felt completely violated. “Everything seems to be ok, but you are very big for a short guy,” Shoot me now, just get it over with please. “Ok, you can go put your clothes back on,” she threw my pile of clothes at me. “You seem to be handling this pretty well,” I shrugged, not speaking because I still felt sick. “Why the green hair?” I knew what she meant, but I didn’t want to talk so I shrugged again. “Fine, but you’re gonna wanna talk when master Dwayne talks to you,” I nodded and got dressed quickly. I honestly don’t care who that guy is, I just want to get out of here.
“Jeremy, take Deckland to master Dwayne,” he nodded and grabbed my arm, pulling me with him as traveled down the short hallway. We stopped a double door way with doors that looked almost vintage. He knocked on the door, then heard a voice say, “Come in,” he pushed the doors open and pushed me into the room. I stumbled and fell to my knees, making me bite my lip at the pain. “Leave us,” I heard the same voice say. “Yes master,” He closed the doors on his way out and left me on the floor.
“Stand,” I didn’t really wanna stand so I slowly stood up, hoping my knees wouldn’t give out on me. “Well, you’re not as stubborn as I thought you’d be,” I shrugged and looked at my feet. I felt a soft hand lift up my chin and met his eyes. I felt my body go limp and my thoughts were clouded. “Hello Deckland,” he smirked, but I just continued to stare into his eyes; not being able to speak. They were a deep green with little dots of pink. “You like?” he said in a seductive voice. I nodded losing the feeling in my body. “Come here,” he order as he made his way to his desk, and I followed him as he commanded. I couldn’t even walk straight but I managed to do it.
“You’re very cute,” he smirked. I just looked at him feeling star struck. what’s happening to me? why can’t I do anything? He smiled. “You should get some rest, you’ve had a rough morning,” I nodded and walked out of the room and downstairs to the room I was originally put in and closed the door. I had no idea how I knew where to go, but it was like my legs had a mind of their own. I suddenly collapsed on the mattress and feel asleep.
