“She put a curse on you, that you shall never be together with your mated soul.” ~Titania
14) Curse – Harry
“Get your disgusting mouth off me,” I pushed the vampire away baring my teeth off his smug face.
“You’re disgusting,” I spat everything out so that none of his disgusting spit stayed in my mouth. I even put some of my fingers inside my mouth so I choke and puke everything.
I heard a laugh and saw the vampire laughing at my reaction. What was his problem, and why the hell was he putting his lips over mine.
He’s really asking for it.
I felt my heart burn as the range from inside me for the vampire started boiling with hearing his laugh. Slowly I felt the wolf inside me start to take over. I felt my bone started to changed and reform. The bones on my fingers started to move closers to each other, the tips bone started to elongate piecing through my skin as sharp claws started to appear, and my hand started to form paws.
The bones in my face started elongating as my snout appeared. My gums expanded to make way for fangs and sharp teeth. My spine started to reform elongating further to form my tail and my skin started to prickle as thick hair grew longer and longer until I was thoroughly covered by white fur.
I bare my fangs towards the vampire ready for attack in my full white wolf form, a form as tall but bigger than him.
I was about to jump on him when I heard voices coming from the door. And I realized what happened before I found myself being kissed by the vampire.
I was sure I had encountered the faes. I turned my head slightly towards where the voices came but not entirely so that I could still see the vampire. And soon, the owner of the voices came.
They were two tiny little ladies fluttering a few feet above ground using a set of colorless wings which I couldn’t see due to the speed of their movement.
“You!” I growled and instant fear covered their faces.
I’m not letting them go, but suddenly, the golden dust coming from their wings fluttered surrounding them, and they just vanished from view. It was like they weren’t even there.
“Invisibility,” I heard the vampire spoke before he vanished from view dashing towards the door, closing it. I saw him reached somewhere in the air, slapping the empty spaces until a little voice yelped. He had hit something in the air and suddenly it got thrown on one bookshelf, displacing some books.
One moment later, one of the creatures soon appeared lying on the bookshelf. I tried focusing on my sense of smell, but I still couldn’t sense the other one. They have strong magic that even wolf senses don’t detect them.
But there was one thing they couldn’t trick, my other senses. I could hear faint fluttering of wings, so faint that I could barely hear it. But I focused and I knew it was coming near the lying fairy, it was its companion. And it didn’t take a minute that the unconscious fairy also vanished.
“Shit!” Liam cursed but another sound stopped him.
I turned my head to source and saw a back bird, a crow, standing on one of the bookshelves. I didn’t realize it was there all the time. Liam nodded and then the crow flew outside the window.
“Tarmac, make sure you follow them to where they took Niall,” the vampire commanded to the bird.
Instantly, my heart fluttered upon hearing his name. Niall, my Niall. But another realization came to me that almost made my heart stopped.
They took him, my Niall?
I turned towards the vampire and he just shrugged.
“I guess you heard,” he told me like it was just some random facts. “The faes took him, so let’s just follow the bird.”
They took him! They really did!
How dare those things take away my mate? How dare they?
I could feel ranged bottling up inside me. I could feel the intense urge to protect Niall, to search for him and envelope him in my arms. I could feel the pain and the worry that they might be doing something bad to him.
And suddenly, I felt something burning inside me. I felt pain in my heart, like it was burning, like a part of me is being cut in half.
I knew it instantly. They were tinkering with our bond. I could feel them putting a spell of some sort on my bond to my mate.
Are they trying to severe our bond? They wouldn’t dare, or I would kill them all. Niall is mine, only mine.
I bolted through the window jumping out whatever floor I might be in, and I could feel the vampire follow, but I didn’t care.
“Follow the smell of the bird,” he suggested but I already knew that. We couldn’t see the crow anymore, but I could feel a faint smell of its feather in the air to the east of Woodbridge. I followed the scent, running through the forest so no one could see me.
I turned quite a few times, jumping off fallen logs and high hills, until I felt the sound and presence of the river. I continued to where the bird’s smells was coming until my eyes landed on the river, and I saw the bird sitting on the railings of a long wooden bridge.
I turned all around trying to sniff Niall, but I couldn’t get a whiff of his scent. I moved towards the bird growling for it to point the location to me, but it just turned its head away.
“Where is Niall?” I yelled at it but it didn’t respond.
Great!
Maybe it didn’t understand me because I was a wolf, so I turned into my human form.
“Where is Niall,” I screamed at it and it still didn’t respond.
I kicked some of the rocks in frustration and suddenly a few bushes moved. I turned towards it to see the vampire.
“Your bird doesn’t know where they went,” I yelled at him but he only threw the jeans he was holding at me.
“Wear that first,” he said. “Stupid mutt, don’t even have any decency,” he commented and then moved to a waterless part of the river near the bridge.
“Tarmac,” he called and then I heard the bird spoke.
“I only answer to Eve,” it was a soft voice, but I knew it was the bird who spoke.
And suddenly the bird opened its wings and shrieked before flying again, this time due north of the forest. We followed its trail near the river. I was in my human form while the vampire dashed in front first. We passed some rocky part of the river, with rocks even bigger as houses in town.
Soon, I realized that the water in the river was becoming deeper and deeper. I could also feel the wind becoming fresher, and the smell of flowers becoming sweeter and thicker and more prominent in the air.
And soon enough, we found ourselves near a waterfall, and above this waterfall, almost twenty meters high, was a huge tree. I saw the vampire climbing the waterfall, and I knew I should too.
I took off my pants this time so I wouldn’t shred it to piece before I shifted. I then took the pants in my mouth and started climbing the steep slope in my wolf form. It took me some minutes of jumping from one rock to another to finally find myself on top of the water falls.
I then turned into my human form and put on the jeans, where some holed had been punctured due to my teeth.
After I covered my lower part, I saw the vampire near the tree dusting himself so I came towards the tree myself. The black bird didn’t come down, but continued to circle the tree before finally landing on the rocky ground.
I looked at the tree, and I knew instantly that it was magical. Even normal humans would assume that, since the tree was like five meters wide. Its height, well, it was not a very tall tree, maybe also five meters tall, and its branches curved pointing downwards, like it was bowing to the ground.
A few vines crept on its branches dangling like little decorations. These vines have flowers with single petals, but their petals have different colors. There were like rainbows on the vines.
“Faesprout,” I heard the vampire spoke as he picked one red petal from the vines. He might have seen me when I turned to him, so he talked more.
“Faesprouts only grow on trees that have been occupied by a fae,” he said moving around the tree. I heard the crow shrieked again and I’ve come to a conclusion that I hate its voice. But I came to where it was anyway.
And it was there at one side of the tree, the crow pointed with its wings a huge crack on the trunk. It looked like a small cave, that could fit a full adult human, or in my case, a full adult wolf.
I saw the vampire touch the ground and saw few of the golden dust on his hand, the same one from the library.
“They came this way,” he told me but I already knew that. What does he think I am, an idiot?
So I pushed him out of the way, and entered the hole myself. I crawled a few meters inside, not seeing anything even with my wolf eyes. Still I continued and I could hear Liam following me, until… I felt myself nothing in front of me and I fell.
“Hey… hey… sleeping beauty, do you want another kiss?” I heard that irritating voice and I immediately opened my eyes.
I glared at the vampire’s smug face, and slap his dirty hand off me before standing. But I failed miserably when he pulled me down to the ground.
“Wh…” I yelled but he covered my mouth. I struggled, but he pinned me down.
I was about to change into my wolf so that I could teach him a lesson, when I heard some things.
“Shhhh!” the vampire glared at me and I realized we weren’t alone in the place. I slapped his hand away and he moved it knowing I wouldn’t speak anymore, or even make a sound.
Taking in my surroundings, we were at some rocky place, like a cave. I could see the a ceiling a few meters away, while there was a very high ladder on one side of the wall to a dark hole above, where I thought we fell from.
I heard few voices coming from small people behind the boulder where the bloodsucker and I hid.
“They say Queen Titania was very happy about our new visitor. They say we are going to have a feast all week,” one of the four little people walking with a pickax on their shoulders said. They wore little shirt and pants, with tiny boots and pointed little bonnet. And they stood only about two feet.
“That mean’s free unlimited Faesprout nectar for all,” one of them exclaimed as they went deeper to our right, where they vanished in the dark.
“I could get drunk till I pass out!” their voices faded.
There was another way on our left, where the light was coming from, and I felt a faint scent of Niall.
My heart immediately fluttered as I crept towards that direction, with the bloodsucker following my trail. I don’t really care about him but he could get in handy.
I sniffed the air and I knew immediately where to go, but I also knew there will be a difficulty in doing so. Because as soon, as the light hit our faces. Spears also welcomed us.
In my face, was four or five spears and I heard the bloodsucker grunt. Another four or five spears were also pointed towards him.
I knew I could fight them fairly, but they weren’t the problem. The men with pointed ears in front of us, wearing weird brown blazers weren’t the threat, but those who were hidden above the tall trees. I could feel their intent to kill, and I have no choice but to surrender, since I couldn’t see them and their weapons.
They might be able to kill me instantly.
“Put their limiter’s on them,” I hear one command coming from behind those who were pointing their spears toward us. And I saw him, a familiar face.
“You!” I blurted seeing the red head that was helped by Niall, on our first day of school. I don’t know his name, and I never thought he was a fae, but I was ready to kill him. I could feel strong scent of Niall on him.
His ears were a bit pointy. His hair totally red unlike the long black hair of the one’s surrounding me. He’s of the royal fae blood.
I felt my energy weaken as a hand slipped something around my neck. I felt the wolf inside me sleep, and realize what they did.
“Wolfbane,” I muttered holding the vine the clung into my neck. It has blue flower on them releasing a pungeant smell. I tried removing it but it tightened its hold on my neck, like it was alive.
“What?”
“That wolfbane garland is charmed, so that wearer cannot remove it himself,” the redhead from school told me. He seemed to be leading the group. But of course, he would be, he was the only loyal I could see, the only one with red hair.
I heard a loud thug on the ground and saw the vampire shaking like he was having a seizure. They also put something on his neck, and I could see it turning the skin on his neck red, like he was having sun burn. I could also see his hands and feet turning red, while black sort of blood vessels appeared on his skin. The black root like mark crawled from his fingers, hands and into his sleeves.
The bloodsucker was in pain, I could see him scratching his chest and tearing his shirt off. The black blood vessels appeared on his body and moved from his abdomen to his chest going to the vine that was on his neck.
And then he stopped shaking. His body turned to normal as the black blood vessel got absorbed by the vines with yellow flower.
“That’s the suncurse plant. It suppresses the dark blood inside a vampire turning him human when it’s wrapped around the vampire’s body. So you two should be no threat to us,” the leader said and then they dragged us from the cave where we came.
On the way to wherever they were bringing us, I saw one flying woman, just like the one we saw at the library fluttering around the leader whom I still haven’t found the name.
“Tell, the queen we caught her visitors,” he said and then the winged lady fluttered away.
“Let’s go,” the leader said and his subordinates followed. Those with spears surrounded us, but those who were on the trees remained hidden, with eyes only directed at us, jumping from tree to tree.
We passed a few farms, where little humans like the first we saw were plowing the lands. Also, little fluttering ladies were sprinkling their golden dust on the vegetables, making their produce grow instantly, even bigger than the faes growing them.
We passed a few more farms but I realized there were no houses everywhere, not even sheds. And suddenly, we entered a huge circle of trees.
It was weird really. The trees were designed in a circular motion of different layers. All of them also have faesprout growing on them.
We passed the first, second, and many outer layers until we were at the very center where one tree stood, its leaves were made of stones, like ruby, sapphire, and diamond, and its trunk made of gold.
The leaders of our capturer knocked and then a door appeared carved on the tree. And soon we were urged inside, revealing a huge inner palace.
It was actually a castle in the inside, huge flower chandelier on the top. And facing us are two huge stairs made of wood and flowers. The floor was made of Bermuda grass, and the walls were solid marble accentuated with vines and faesprout.
They ushered us to a double door where two long haired guards stood. I notice that they were female, of the same raise, and their hairs were black.
The double door opened, and we were ushered to a place full of flowers and butterflies, it was like a garden. There were little women flying on the side of the room and two near a chair which was on the top of a long stairs away from us.
“Announcing the presence of the first prince of the third kingdom of Inner Earth, his highness Loius deTomlinson, together with his court and their captives,” one voice announced.
And we were pushed forward kneeling under the stairs of what I think is the throne room of the fae queen.
“Well… well… aren’t I glad to have a visit from a little dog here,” was the queen’s snide remark. Although her voice was still soothing to the ears, I knew instantly that she hated me.
I turned my head up to look where the voice came and from the chair exalted up high by the stairs, a little girl in glittery white dress with curly red locks sat.
She let her feet reach the ground of Bermuda grass and her legs elongated, her body elongated as well, turning her into a fully grown woman lifting her dress above her knees. And at ground where she stood, red little flower bloomed on the grass.
“And another important guest I guess,” she looked at the vampire.
“Titania,” I heard the vampire spoke.
The woman pointed her hand on the vampire and I saw the vine on the bloodsucker’s neck move, unraveling themselves until they fell to the ground.
“My queen,” the guards reacted in panic but the queen just waved them to stop.
“Loui!”
“Yes mother?” the leader of our capturer answered. And I knew his name.
“You should know enough not to be rude to my royal visitors,” she said and then she walked down the thrown toward the vampire.
“Long time no see, Azval Eltysta Victoryn,” she said hugging the newly freed vampire. “Where have you been all these days you’ve been missing?”
But the vampire grabbed her and put his hand on her neck, positioning himself behind her, making her as shield.
But only seconds later, the woman shrunk and turned into glittery dust. And then a vine slowly rose from near the thrown, it gradually turned into a woman… the fae queen.
“Azval, how dare you?” She spat, anger written on her face.
She waved her hand and the grass where the vampire stood climbed on his legs. The vampire tried moving and struggling but the vines from the ground climbed higher on his body, restraining him from walking or even moving.
“You dare, lay a hand on a queen,” she yelled. “How dare you Az.”
“Why are you calling me Az?” The vampire yelled. “That’s not my name!” And then the queen turned quiet.
“You’re not Azval Eltysta Victoryn?” she came near him, glaring at his face like she couldn’t believe what he just said. And then she laughed.
“What trickery is this?” She asked and then she came to me. “Wolf, is he telling the truth?”
“I don’t know,” I answered not wanting to piss her. She’s was too powerful for me, I could feel power surrounding her. I don’t want to mess with her especially when my wolf was sleeping.
“Then who are you?” She turned to the vampire holding his chin and touching the vampire’s face. “You looked exactly like him.”
“Eve told me my name is Liam Payn,” he said and then the woman laughed.
“So she finally found you, and here you are without your memory playing like her good little slave,” she commented. “You are indeed Azval Eltysta Victoryn, and Eve just made you believe differently. You are the first vampire that Eve made.”
“And why should I believe you?” He spat.
“Because I took Niall, for you, for the deal you struck with me,” she answered. “…to save him from Eve.”
“You’re lying!” I glared at her. Although my wolf was asleep, my desire to protect Niall was very much alive. He was mine… I would protect him.
“You will just bring him pain,” she told me. “And Eve will bring him pain,” she told the vampire. “Everyone will bring our precious Niall pain. Only we can protect him.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“The prophecy,” she answered. “For the witches talk about a prophecy,” the queen stated.
On the night the goddess slumbers
Her bright light, the shadows covers
A night that comes every hundred years
Comes the freedom of the Fears
A Druid, the last blood shall spill
Against the holy mother’s will
To cast a spell, the lunar bane
To make goddess’ power wane
Beware, the night, to which I speak
The night, death’s number rise its peak
It is the night, the goddess cries
Crimson blood above the skies
The Fears, to rise again, they shall
Where the earth unlocks its wall
Where the goddess caged them all
Where fate caused the Druids to fall
Beware, we shall, the fallen one
Deceitful beauty, for the eyes
She used to be a holy one
From grace she fell, before she dies
She cursed the land, we walk
By words, her mouth had talk
It is her will, to free the Fears
For freedom through their spears
“And the deceitful woman the prophecy speaks of is no other than Eve… a Druid who fell from grace. And that’s not all. She put a curse on you, that you shall never be together with your mated soul,” she told us but more towards the vampire.
“What does it have to do with me and my mate?” I yelled. Niall and I have nothing to do with the vampire.
“Oh… you are Niall’s mate?” She grinned towards me. “Then you are cursed as well.” || Stay tuned for more
