Xander’s POV~
I pace back and forth in the living room as I stare at the ground. Should I go back? Should I not? He should know the reason why I dumped him. But he is kind of slow…. Should I explain to him why? I’d hate to see him cry or look emotionless in the hall at school. I’ve made up my mind.
I’m going to see Reece.
I pick up my phone and house key and walk out. I lock the door and tuck the key safely in my pocket. I run over to Reece’s house.
My phone has been awfully silent….
Usually if I say not to message him he messages me anyway. He’s stubborn that way. It’s cute though. It gives me a sense of protection and knowing that he really does care.
No. I have to forget my feelings about him.
I started to pick up my speed and finally arrive at Reece’s apartment. I notice his window is still open to see a horrifying sight.
Mason….
Holding a knife…..
Over Reece while he’s sleeping…..
That crazed look in Mason’s eyes….
I have to save him! I spot the stairs and run up them as quick as I can. I burst down Reece’s door after trying to find it for 5 minutes. Mason stops and looks at me, shocked. I dash to him and SMACK!
The knife went to the other side of the room….
Mason….laying on the floor, a slap mark on his cheek..
Reece…oh god Reece….
He was fully awake and out of breath as his eyes shifted to me, his chest rapidly rising and lowering. A sense of passion and concern came to me as I hugged him tightly in my arms. I felt a wetness on my shoulder as he hugged me and cried into the sleeve of my shoulder.
I should’ve been more careful…
I knew this would happen. Especially with Mason….who I knew was crazy..
Reece…
The way he’s shaking in my arms…
The way he’s crying out of fear…
How scared he looked when he glanced at me…
It made me want to hold him forever. If I wasn’t there he would’ve died..and it would’ve been all my fault.
If you break up with Reece and date me, I won’t kill him. If you lie to me and say that you still love him, Reece will not live to see another light… Got it?
Yes. I got it. Just don’t hurt Reece…
I knew I shouldn’t trust yakuza. Once a yakuza, always a yakuza.
