“Hey what happened?” Kaydence asked me as I sat in my seat waiting for the bell to ring.
I really didn’t wanna tell her. It was one of those things that you wish you could go back and change. Should I have told him I was madly in love with him? Or should I have just not gone at all. ADRIANNA. She had set this up, but I can’t be mad at her. He was to blame and I guess she was just being a good friend/exgirlfriend to help him out. He likes me? A Guy? Uh, he’s not gay!
“Nothing, Johnny was in there. Not Adrianna.” I said plainly as I watched for the last minute to go by so I could escape to my computer class where I had class with Adrianna. But I remembered that class was after lunch. So I guess I can endure a meal.
“JOHNNY?! WAS. IN. THERE.” She said each world like a sentence trying to stretch out each word.
“Yes he was, and he sort of told me he liked me.” Her face was now pale and she had the biggest smile on her face. I hated when she had that. It only meant one thing. She was thinking. Something that Kaydence wouldn’t and should never do on a regular basis.
“Kaydence, whatever your thinking. Don’t. You remember what happened last time?”
She just gave me an angry look and the bell rang. Finally free and I’ll be able to get out of this stupid class. But I still have to get through lunch and 3 periods. Great. Just great. I love how my life works out like a cliche story.
I walked to lunch alittle slower than usual. I really didn’t need anything to go wrong today. I knew that Johnny had every right to try something in public, wait. He didn’t have the right but I knew he had the balls. Ew, no pun intended.
“David! Hey! David!” I looked around but I couldn’t find who was calling me. I guess I should just ignore it considering i’m lost in a sea of hungry teenagers just eager to get to lunch.
Just then I felt someone grab my wrist and pull me forward through the crowd. Fast too, I almost tripped. I suddenly stopped when Reed and Kaydence were standing there smiling.
“Hey guys, I see you guys are starving for government food.” I said casually.
They just kept smiling which I ignored the whole time. The line must have taken around an hour for us to finally get to our food. We went to a huge highschool. It was considered small to the surrounding schools which made me happy to go to this one. I could only imagine how much worse it could get.
I grabbed my tray of food and proceeded to the table where my friends were sitting. As usual Johnny and Adrian sat together but not as a couple, as friends now. It didn’t really change my mood or thought process all that much though.
I was getting weird looks during lunch. Everyone was just staring at me waiting for something to happen so I tried to concentrate on what my friends were talking about.
“That’s what she said!”
Everyone started moaning and growning.
“And that! oh! And that!”
Yeah Reed’s crazy bestfriend was always up to something nasty. He always somehow managed to gross out Kaydence which was suppose to be impossible.
“Calm it James, I’m suppose to be the nasty one remember?” Kaydence told him and we all couldn’t stop laughing for about the next 10 minutes. Joke after joke came spilling out of both there mouths. One right after another trying to call dominance over the title ‘Too Nasty’. It was amusing.
“Hey guys, i’m going to go get a milk, be back ok.” I said as I got up.
I heard them still arguing and spitting nasty joke after nasty joke as I walked away.
That somewhat made my day turn around. My friends are stupid and I appreciate every minute of it. Ah, the memories. I walked over and grabbed a carton of milk. I practically chugged it and then threw it away. I was about to make my way back when I couldn’t help but see Johnny staring at me.
I froze.
Don’t do this right now please. Everyone is in here. No.
Just then Johnny started walking up to me. I tried to make my way to the table but he stopped me.
“Johnny! Not now! Please…” I begged him as he held my arms by the wrist and wouldn’t let me go.
“If not now then when?!” he shouted. By now everyone was staring at us and the attention I wanted to avoid was now on us. I wanted to run but I couldn’t, I couldn’t move from embarrassment and anger.
“Please…don’t…” I whispered to him. I felt a tear run down my face.
He left go and we just stood there staring at each other.
“I’m sorry….” he mouthed to me. I felt anger go over more. I just wanted to beat the crap out of him.
“SORRY FOR WHAT?!” I screamed at him. He just stood there, frozen.
“Johnny….”
I just stood there as him name slipped out of my mouth I didn’t know what to do…
“David.” he said. That was all and he mouthed ‘I love you’.
“Prove it.” I said to him. He stood there. Just staring at me.
“Though so.” Is what I said while I walked away. I turned around and took one step out as I felt my heart skip a beat when he grabbed my arm and turned me around.
“I LOVE YOU!” he shouted loud enough for everyone to hear.
“Why now?! Why after all this time!? After you had me hurting, crying, you blamed me for everything! When in the end everything turned out to be true! And I never said a word. Never.”
He stood there and his face got red. Tears were already drowning my face. I couldn’t move.
“David…-“
“Prove it.”
“How….”
I stood there as everyone stared long and hard at what was going to happen next. I did something I never thought I’d do.
I mouthed out the words slowly but clearly enough, that he’d understand.
‘Kiss Me.’

DONT GO NINJA ON ME! I had to cut if off because it is late and besides it leaves you wanting more and keeps the storying going 😀
