CHANYEOL’S POV
What is that small guy doing to the outsider?
“Mr. Park!” I flinched when our professor called me, I immediately stood up.
He asked me the acronym of DNA and even asked me to spell it, my goodness! I know the answer but I totally forgot because that small guy occupied my mind.
Then, he appeared. Standing on the door wearing his smirk.
“What’s your name?” I frowned, why is he asking me my name?
“How dare you to talk to me like that?” I don’t where that words came from, it just slip out from my lips.
“What’s his name?” He asked our professor, I want to yell and tell him to go away! I feel so embarrassed! >.<
“Park Chanyeol, Mr. Byun.” Why is our professor suddenly turned into a kind and polite man? Is this guy really powerful?
He looked at me and we’re now making an eye contact, “DNA means DeoxyriboNucleic Acid, spelling; D-E-O-X-Y-R-I-B-O-N-U-C-L-E-I-C then Acid.”
He smirked and it made my blood boil so I just glared at him, “Thank me later.” He said and left.
I balled my fist and sat down, “Class dismissed.” The professor said and left.
My classmates left until 3 guys went to me, I don’t know them actually.
“Hi, Chanyeol!” The guy with a high-pitched voice said.
“He…llo?” I said awkwardly.
“Chen, shut up.” The tallest guy among them three said, is that a black eye under his eyes?
“I’m Tao, this is Xiumin and Chen they’re my hyungs.” He said.
I nodded, “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Mind if you join us? We just noticed that you’re always alone.” The small guy said with a small eyes and big cheeks.
“Sure.” I took my bag and hanged it on my shoulder as we went out from the classroom.
“Do you perhaps, know Baekhyun-ssi?” Chen asked me while we’re walking in the hallway.
I frowned, “Who’s Baekhyun?” I asked.
“He’s the guy who answered the DNA question.” Tao butted in.
“Oh…” Baekhyun is his name? Cute name eh? Wait what? No way! “I don’t, why did you ask?” I asked Chen.
“He never talked to someone that he’s not close with, that’s why we’re surprised that he suddenly butted in to our discussion earlier.”
“Why not? He’s a bad boy, right?”
“Yes, but I think he’s not the bad boy that we think. He never touched or bullied someone if that person didn’t do something to him or to a person that’s special to him.”
Does the guy that he bullied earlier outside have done something to him?
We arrived at the canteen and saw Kai, Sehun and Kris. “Chanyeol! Here!” Kai said with his hand waving at me.
I walked towards their table, “I have new friends!” I excitedly introduced, “This is Xiumin, Chen and Tao. They’re my classmates.” I said.
They all shook hands and introduced themselves to each other, “Sit down.” Sehun said as we sat down along with them.
“It’s nice that you’re now making friends.” Kris commented and I felt my cheeks heating up.
“Y-yeah.” I said and tried my best not to smile.
“Let’s order first.” Xiumin said and the three of them stood up.
“I’ll go order too.” I said and followed them on the line.
BAEKHYUN’S POV
“WHAT?!” They all asked in unison.
“He saw you bullying an outsider?” I gave Suho hyung a nod.
“Gosh, it happened again.” Luhan hyung commented.
“Yeah, I told him to forget it instead.”
“How will he? I think it’s his first time witnessed that kind of case after what happened months ago.” Lay hyung said.
I leaned on the tree behind me and clasp my hands together then rest it on my belly, “I know.”
“Did you already found a way to be close to him?” Kyungsoo asked.
I smiled when the scene earlier on his classroom came into my mind, “Yeah and I think it’s the funniest way to be close to him.”
“What?” They asked, confused.
I told them what happened on his classroom earlier.
“Not funny, Baek.” Luhan hyung said and shook his head.
“It is!”
“You embarrassed him.” Suho hyung said while shaking his head.
“I know, because of that I can be close to him and at the same time, he can hate me.” I said and the smile on my lips fades away.
The memories of those past months crossed into my mind.
It’s all my fault why you suffered…
KAI’S POV
“I talked to Chanyeol…” Baekhyun hyung said.
My eyes widened, “Really?” I asked in disbelief.
“Mmm,” He said and nodded as he leaned on the sofa. “I embarrassed him on his class earlier.” He smiled that made me frowned.
“What?!” My hyung is really unbelievable! I knew it, he won’t approach Chanyeol properly.
“Kai,” His face and voice became serious. “Always keep an eye on him.”
I frowned, “Why?” Minutes has passed but he didn’t answer and he remained staring at the ceiling with his hands on his belly. “Don’t tell me…”
He immediately nodded, “Don’t let him go without someone’s accompany.”
“What if he’s on his house? How are you going to protect him?” I asked.
“Then, that will be my job. Protect him 24/7.”
“Huh? If you put your attention to him, you might forget to take care of yourself.” I said, I know him too much. He can do everything for us, for the important persons on his life even he will risk his own life.
“I won’t let that happen, Kai.” He stood up, “Keep your eye on him even just in the school.”
“Where are you going?” I asked when he grab the motor’s key.
“I’ll come back before dinner.”
