CHANYEOL’S POV
“Chanyeol, go home now.” Kai said.
I ignored him and remained sitting on a chair beside the hospital bed where Baekhyun was lying.
He’s confined here in the hospital and still asleep, “Chanyeol, promise. I’ll tell you when he wakes up.”
I sighed and stood up, “Fine. I’ll come back tomorrow.”
“Okay.” I glanced on Baekhyun before leaving his room.
BAEKHYUN’S POV
I opened my eyes when I heard Chanyeol left, I look at Kai.
He sat on the seat that Chanyeol had just vacated, “Why are you even pretending?” He asked.
I sighed, “His father might took him back to London again, I can manage to look and protect him from a far but I can’t do that if he’s in London.”
“Why don’t you just say everything?” He asked.
“I’m… scared? I think.”
“Scared of being rejected?”
I stayed silent with Kai’s sudden question.
Yes. I am scared.
— 4 YEARS LATER —
“Dr. Byun!” I stopped from walking when I heard someone called me.
I smiled and knelt down. “Hey, Yoonjun.” I ruffled his hair.
“I wanted to give you this, hyung!” He handed me a strawberry chocolate.
I smiled, “Thank you, Yoonjun.”
“I’ll be discharge by the day after tomorrow! I’m so excited, hyung!”
I chuckled, he’s so cute! “Don’t forget, Doctor Byun. Okay?”
“Of course I won’t! You’re like my elder brother!”
“Yoonjun-ah!” I saw Yoonjun’s assigned nurse looking for him.
“Hey, Yoonjun. Go back to your nurse, she’s looking for you.”
“Okay! Bye bye!” I waved at him then watched him ran towards his nurse.
I smiled and stood up, I walked towards the nurse station. “What can I do for you, Doc?” Ji Eun asked, she’s an intern here in the hospital.
“Can you put this there in the fridge, I’ll get that later.” I handed her the chocolate.
“Sure.” She took a piece of paper and wrote my name then taped it on the chocolate before putting it inside the ref.
“Thanks.” I said, she nodded and bowed. I went to my office and sat on the swivel chair.
I opened my phone and at the same time, my phone rang.
I pressed the green button when I saw Kyungsoo’s name flashes on the screen.
“Hello, Kyungsoo?”
“Hyung! Is your work done? Let’s meet!”
“Why?”
“I just want to, I want to have some break from my work and Kai.”
“Is he annoying?”
“Sometimes, he’s noisy.” They’re in a relationship and they’re living on the same condominium.
All of us has our own condominium, Kris hyung went to London to handle his own company. Sehun has his own dorm along with his co-members because he’s an artist now! His band is so famous all over the world!
Kai is an engineer while Kyungsoo which is his boyfriend is a chef on a popular restaurant.
Suho hyung has his own company that makes their own apps and computers. Luhan hyung went to China because he’s now a popular artist.
Lay hyung is a famous composer, he’s Sehun and his band’s composer!
“Okay then, let’s meet now.”
“Let’s meet on a cafe near our condominium.”
“Okay.” I hanged up and took my doctor’s coat off, I hanged it on my swivel chair.
I grabbed my phone and put it inside my pocket, I’m wearing a dark blue sleeves, I fold it up until to my shoulder and tucked it in. I’m also wearing a black pants.
I went out from my office, I saw my secretary. “I’ll just go and meet my friend, I’ll come back.” She nodded.
I left the hospital and went inside my car as I drove towards the cafe near their dorm, it’s not that far. It will only took me 15 minutes to arrive.
I arrived and parked my car on the parking lot which is just in front of the cafe, I saw Kyungsoo looking at my direction.
I smiled and waved at him, he gave me a nod. I entered the cafe and immediately went to the table.
I sat across his seat, “Yah, how are you?”
“I’m fine! You’re a big time now, huh?”
I chuckled, “Thanks, I bet you too.”
“Yeah.”
“So, how’s Kai?”
“He’s on his job, he will come home later.”
“Oh, that’s why you’re free.”
He rolled his eyes, “He’s cute when he gets jealous. He kept on pouting the whole day.”
I chuckled, “He’s cute for you, but for me. I can’t imagine him pouting like that, it’s disgusting.”
“Yah!” I laughed when he glared at me.
“Just stating the truth.”
“Tss!”
CHANYEOL’S POV
“Good morning, Mr. Park.” My secretary greeted me.
I entered my office, “Good morning, Secretary Choi. What’s my schedule this morning?”
“Hmmm… 8:30 am to 9:10 am, you have an appointment with Mr. Kim.” She said after scanning the list of my schedule on her notebook.
I nodded, “Thanks.”
“If you need something, I’m just outside.” I nodded and I heard her left.
While busy signing the papers, my phone rang.
“Hello?” It’s Tao.
“Hyung!!!! It’s Xiumin hyung’s birthday tomorrow, we’re planning to surprise him with his co-workers.”
“Oh… Yeah, I’ll come.”
“Yes! See you the day after tomorrow, let’s talk about the plan.”
“Okay.”
Tao is a singer on China, Xiumin is a tutor and a teacher and Chen teaches a vocal lesson.
I glance on my wrist watch, it’s 8:15 am already. I grabbed the telephone and called my secretary.
“Yes, sir?”
“Bring me some coffee.”
“Okay, sir.” I ended the call.
My phone vibrated, I saw a new message.
From: Kai
Are you going to Xiumin’s birthday?
To: Kai
Yes.
From: Kai
Okay, let’s go together with Kyungsoo.
To: Kai
Sure.
