We have been living in the new house for a week now and I have actually relaxed. We eat with dad when he is home and when he’s not we just eat what ever at our place if we are not working ourselves. Because I got paid this week I have decided to take Holden out on a date. I have never done anything like this so I am a lot nervous. When I asked him out to dinner he laughed and kissed me. I think I blushed the rest of the day and the night. I really do like him a lot and I want to be with him that is why I am planning on asking him out tonight. Another reason I am so nervous. I have called and made reservations at one of the nicest restraints in town plus planned on taking him to the beach for a nice walk in the moon light. I know over rated but I don’t care.
After I showered I picked out a nice pair of slacks and a short sleeved button up shirt. I did my hair the best i could before finding my dress shoes. I had told Holden to dress nice so I am hoping I am not under dressed or over dressed for this. Once I looked okay and smelt good I headed out. I had washed my truck when I got home from school so it was all shiny and smelled good. I was going to stop for flowers but decided that was just too weird even for me. My hands we sweating and my heart was beating really fast when I pulled into Holden’s drive way.
“Hey, cutie are you ready?” Holden asked once we opened the door.
“Yes, I am.” I said smiling at him.
“Let’s go, by the way you look sexy tonight.” He said as we walking to the truck.
“So do you.” I said taking a good look at him before getting in the truck. He looked smoking hot in a light blue button up shirt and light blue jeans.
“So where are we going?” He asked once we were on the road.
“Giovanni’s” I said making him whistle.
“That’s a really nice place.” He said smiling.
“I have always wanted to eat there.” I said.
“Well from what I hear it is a very nice place with excellent food.” He said looking a little nervous. Maybe I should have chose a different place to eat.
“You okay?” I asked.
“I’m fine, cutie.” He said winking at me.
We arrived at the restaurant about ten minutes before the reservations but we were seated anyway. Once were seated at a very nice table Holden and I picked up our menus. I almost shit when I saw the prices but I had brought a lot of money with because I knew it was expensive. I chose the Italian Chopped Salad to start out with and Holden picked Amalfi Lobster Salad and we both asked for spark;ing water to drink.
“So what are you going to have for your main?” I asked.
“I was thinking about getting the,Tagliata.” He said.
“That sounds good but I think I am going to try the, Roasted Mushroom Medley along with some of this garlic bread and maybe some stuffed mushrooms.” I said.
“You like mushrooms don’t you?” He asked with a smirk.
“Love them.” I said smiling.
“Are you ready to order?” The waiter asked after placing our salads in front of us. Holden and I gave him our order and the dug into our salads. This was the best salad I have ever tasted.
“Well, I have to say if the main course is as good as this salad then the stories about this place are so true.” He said moaning with another bite. I really wish he would stop that moaning because I am so not ready to take our relationship that far but my body has a different idea right now.
“I am glad you like it.” I said smiling at him.
“I think I would love it if we were eating at a hot dog stand as long as we were together.” He said with a wink. This guy is killing me.
“I will remember that next time.” I said with a chuckle.
We ate our salads flirting back and forth until the main course came and the we ate in simple silence. The food was just too good not to. We decided on no desert due to the fact that we were both stuffed. The food was every thing and more then I expected.
“Where to now?” Holden asked once we were in the truck.
“You’ll see.” I said chuckling at his pouty face.
I drove about ten miles out of town and parked at the beach. Holden was all smiles when we got there. When we got out of the truck I looked up at the sky and seen the most beautiful moon with a bunch of stars. I can see all this from my new room but for some reason it all seemed brighter tonight.
“It’s a really nice night.” Holden said braking the silence as we walk along the beach. I was so nervous.
“Yeah, I uses to come here a lot when I first started driving. It would calm me before I had to go home.” I said.
“Where I used to live there was a river that we would all go to and party. It was in the middle of nowhere. I miss it sometimes but I think I like this better.” He said taking my hand.
“So I have a question for you. Would you go out with me? I mean become my boyfriend?” I asked starting to sweat, gross.
“I would love too if your ready.” He said stopping.
“I am ready for the whole dating, boyfriend thing but I don’t want to move too fast. I really like you and going slow I think will help build a better relationship. I’m not saying we go as slow as Harvey and I did but I am also not saying that we go back to my place and hump like bunnies either.” I said chuckling.
“Well, I think slow is good. But I can’t wait for the bunny part either.” He said laughing.
We found a rock to sit on and continued to talk. I am so happy that we are finally a couple. There is only like two weeks of school left and I am hoping that by the end of summer we will have the best kind of relationship.
“It’s starting to get a little cold, are you ready to head back?” I asked.
“Yeah, am I coming home with you?” He asked in a husky voice.
“Yeah” was all I could say.
“Cool, I want to hold you.” He said helping me up.
“I like the sound of that.” I said before I kissed him. It was a sensual kiss, long a passionate. So different from Harvey.
“This has been the best date ever.” He said when the kiss broke.
“Yeah” Again the boy leaves me speechless.
“Let’s go, I want to hold you.” He said pulling me from my lust fog and to the truck.
I drove back to the house and parked inside the barn. I like this whole park at your door service we have. Holden and I went in and grabbed something to drink and something to snack on before heading across the bridge. Someone has added lights to the bridge making it look awesome.
“You guys are back. How was it?” Lace asked once we were across the bridge.
“The food was excellent I have never tasted anything like it.” I said smiling at her.
“I need to find someone to take my ass there.” She said.
“It was amazing so yeah, I think you do.” Holden said chuckling.
“Lacey, where did you put the nail polish remover?” One of her friends asked from her door.
“I’ll be right there Brit.” Lace said rolling her eyes.
“Go have fun with your sleep over, I will see you in the morning.” I said hugging her goodnight. I have never done this and it felt so right. She stiffened in my arms but then hugged me back.
“Thanks, I will.” She said I thought I saw tears in her eyes.
“Is Landon home?” I asked before she made it to her room.
“Yeah, he has a few of his friends over I think they are playing video games or something.” She said before turning back to join her friends.
“We better go to my room.” I said taking Holden’s hand.
“Why, babe?” He asked.
“Some of Land’s friend still don’t like me.” I said walking a little fast towards my room.
“Slow down, Landon and I will not let them fuck with you so chill out. I promise nothing is going to happen.” He said slowing me down. I really just wanted to get in my room and lock the door.
“Okay, if you say so.” I said. I could feel myself shaking and I hated that he could to.
“Why don’t you take a warm shower and I will pick out a movie or something.” He said once I unlocked my door.
“Okay, yeah that sound like a good plan.” I said then remembered I don’t have a TV yet. “Um… where are we going to watch this movie?” I asked.
“Down stairs, trust me nobody is going to mess with you.” He said coming up and hugging me close. I took a deep breath and nodded my head before going and finding some shorts and a t-shirt.
The warm water did help calm me a little. I was able to stop shaking and my heart wasn’t jumping out of my chest anymore by time I was out and dressed. When I made it out into my room I found one of my old blankets and headed for the living room. I could hear them playing in Landon’s room so I hurried across the bridge and down the stairs. Holden was sitting on the couch with the remote and popcorn. I really do like this guy. This is the perfect ending to a perfect date.
“So what movie are we watching?” I asked once I joined him on the couch.
“Transformers” He said happily.
“Cool, I have actually seen all of them and still can’t pick a favorite.” I said laughing.
“Come on then snuggle in so we can watch this movie.” He said lying back so I could lay on him and cover us up. Once comfortable he pressed play.
I was so happy and content that I forgot all about Landon and his friends. This was nice and I want more nights like this. Part of me wanted to squeal like a girl because I was so happy but the other part of me worried I would lose it all again. I don’t know if I could handle it. I am so afraid to fall in love but I know that is where this is going. I know that I am already falling in love with Holden.
“When did you two make it home?” Landon asked half way through the movie.
“A while ago.” Holden said.
“I heard you went to that high dollar joint.” Land said smiling.
“We did, your brother even asked me out. We are a couple now.” Holden said proudly.
“So does that make him the man?” Land said laughing.
“If he wants to be.” Holden said chuckling. I was beet red and hiding under the blankets.
“Wow, remind me never to ask that again.” Land said laughing.
“So what have you been up to?” Holden asked.
“Video games with Jayden and Ethan.” He said with a shrug. I could handle those two they were never really mean to me. That calmed me down a little.
“No Evan tonight? I though him and Jayden were attached at the hip.” Holden said laughing.
“Evan had plans he might show up later.” Land said with a shrug.
“Cool” Holden said.
“Is dad back from his trip?” I asked.
“Yeah we get to meet the girlfriend and family tomorrow.” Land said.
“Oh yeah and lunch with Grandmother.” I said.
“Don’t worry it will be fine.” He said smiling at me.
“If you say so.” I said with a frown.
“Trust me.” He said. “I better get back up there before they trash my room.” He said taking some water and chips back to his room.
“I’ll be here with you tomorrow so don’t worry if anyone steps out of line you and I will get up and leave.” Holden said snuggling back down so we could finish the movie.
“Okay” I whispered.
By time the movie was over Evan had shown up, I was tired and Holden looked like he was ready to just go to my room. Landon and his friend had come down and were making more snacks. I hope like hell he cleaned that mess up because I really didn’t want to.
“Let’s go to bed, babe. You have along day tomorrow and you need to get some sleep.” Holden whispered in my ear.
“Yeah, okay.” I said biting back a moan.
We made it to my room after getting stopped by the others for a few minutes. Holden held me close and didn’t let anyone too close. They all seemed okay with us and didn’t even attempt to talk shit to me. I still locked my door as soon as we were inside.
“I am going to jump in the shower do you have extra shorts I can wear?” He asked.
“Third drawer down in the tall dresser.” I said from the bed. I was getting it ready so we could go to sleep.
“Thanks, be right out.” He said before heading to the shower.
I made myself comfortable while I waited. I knew as soon as he was in the bed we would move around until I was almost lying on top of him. That is how we have always seemed to sleep. The sound of his heart beat normally puts me to sleep and keeps me away from any nightmares that might pop up.
A/N: Okay short but sweet chapter but I am okay with that because now they are officially together. And I am so happy for that. But now it is time to meet the girlfriend and see how much Grandmother grovels to Lucas and his dad.
