Cadis sat in his room the sun barely peeking through the black curtains that were shut. He had locked the door of his rooms as he blasted his music through his headphones

And despite the ball of rage he currently was his mind was clear and as the acrylics slid through the hard paper he drifted off to another world

All to snap back into reality by remembering the art club.

He clenched his fist and searched through his black bag the packet of cigarettes he had and grabbed one lighting it up

None of this was supposed to happen

His mother was not supposed to be in his room looking under his bed.

He should have been more careful with hiding the packages there. He never did drugs. But he sold them to buy art supplies

And now it was all blown up. No art class. No money. No drugs. Nothing

Just a packet of cigarettes that would last a week. He had his sources. He knew where and how to get more packages. But he couldn’t risk been found again

He slid his back through his sleeves shoulders and unlocked the door of his room going straight to the houses front door not bothering to greet his parents.

He left with the headphones still plugged in his ears.

If only he could give to someone else the paper and ask him to sign for art class. Then they could switch.

But for one who would be dumb enough to want to attend therapy session with Christopher Ross?

Cadis never liked the man. He saw himself in the mans empty eyes. Cadis liked how he was. But he didn’t like seen others been like him

But even if that wasn’t that case, everyone had signed up for a club. He had to. Well, was about to. Till the form was ripped to shreds by his drunk mother the day she found the drugs

But he couldn’t give up like that. He just couldn’t

In the school yard Kevin was getting frustrated. “Talon. Christopher is a scum bag. I don’t know why are you so obsessed about finding out what he looks like”

Talon sigh “but….I want to know”

He said tired from trying to persuade Kevin

“Listen the only way to get to talk to him or see him is by attending those stupid therapy sessions no one cares about”

“Then I want to attend those”

“No you don’t”

“I do”

“Not”

They glared at each other for a good five minutes before Kevin fell on his back resting on the grass

“Cmon dude-“

“Stop with the dude-thing”

Kevin scoffed

“Come on Talon” he tried and since he didn’t hear Talons protests he continued

“Therapy takes up club activities time. You really want that?”

Talon drew up his knees to his chest. Why were club activities so special? Besides reading tarot cards Talons only other interest was doing origami. And since there wasn’t a club for either therapy sessions seemed fine

Dax would understand his need to just talk. He wouldn’t question him like Kevin was doing now. That made something blossom in his chest that he shut down right away

“Good morning Kevin”

A raspy voice. The kind of voice one could achieve by been a heavy smoker.

“Oh hey Cadis” Kevin said sitting up and raising his arm to prevent his eyes from getting hidden by the sun

Talon turned his head and looked up at the tall boy that was dressed all in black like the devil

Talon instantly recognized the scent of the ocean and sand. The breeze of a winter morning by the sea.

And then he looked at the boys cold sky like grey eyes filled with mist. Blown out candles void of all kind of emotion

And he thought if there was any trace of a feelings to be living within the boy they were buried far too low for the naked eye to see

“You are?”

Asked the boy-Cadis and Talon smiled softly

“Talon Veniamin. I just…transferred…”

Cadis observed the boy and the boys blue locks. He liked the hair.

His eyes switched back to Kevin’s chestnut brown dreads and then to his sharp eyes that were radiant and filled with energy

“I was wondering in any of you would like to join art class?”

He tried asking. Kevin nudged Talons shoulder “how does that sound to you?”

Talon frowned “I told you. No”

Cadis held back a scoff. He hated this snob attitude towards art class. His hands could create a universe. A world no mechanic or architect could imagine

And all on paper. And from paper to the walls.

But who would understand the value of that

“Come on Talon. Stop avoiding club activities! You need to join a club”

“I want to meet Christopher”

He said dragging his words and Cadis was too caught up in his own world to listen what Talon said.

So he just took a turn

“I want to start therapy sessions” he heard the boys soft voice and he took a sharp turn right away and kneeled beside him

“Therapy ?”

Kevin rolled his eyes dramatically and got up dusting off the back of his pants

“You would need your parents to sign the form and proof that you need the sessions. Things don’t work that simply here in Falcons high”

He said the last word with a certain edge letting it roll out of his tongue in a way that echoed in Talons head

Cadis however grabbed the concept and he patted the boy thin shoulder feeling up the edge of the bones of his collar where it connected with his shoulder without meaning to.

Was the kid starving himself ?

“Hey I’d like to talk to you”

He offered and Talon took a moment to look at the boy. And he felt like giving him a chance.

Kevin’s brows yet again rose up

“Wha- you actually feel like interacting with people?”

Cadis brought up to his face a black ink stained hand and rubbed the sleep from his eyes

“Yes. But not with you. I want Talon”

He said snaking his arm around the short boys shoulders pulling him in his chest and with drawing from the crowd going deeper in the yard between the narrow slits of the walls

“I can sign you up for therapy sessions”

Cadis said getting straight to the point and Talons features lit up

“But I need you to write a form with your name for art class”

Talon frowned

“How does that work?”

Cadis smirked. A cold smirk that twisted his features in ways that made the inner snake that lived within him appear

“I happen to have a form for Christopher’s sessions”

He said with his dry voice that Talon seemed to find soothing
“So you go attend the sessions under my name-Cadis Etrama- that is and I, will attend art class under your name which is-“

“Talon Veniamin” he said instantly understanding where the conversation was heading and he smiled

“Sounds good”

Cadis nod and ruffled the smaller boys hair

“That’s what id like to hear. Then I’ll catch up with you later”
