We made it to Chicago and now we were on our way to Kellin friend house. Kellin friend Austin picked us up, I was worried. I was worried about Kellin. I was so stupid, and I let him go…now he is in trouble. I was moving my legs as I ran my hands through my hair, Alex seemed to noticed as he decided to talk to me. “Oliver calm down, we are going to get Kellin.”
“Where are we even going? Are we going straight to Kellin? Do you guys now where he is o-”
“Oliver calm down,” Austin said as he was driving us.
“Where are we even going? We have to save Kellin” I said as I was getting pissed. I heard Austin sign, “Oliver we are going to mine and Alan apartment. We are going to figure this out and make a plan,” he said. I just sighed, “Kellin is in trouble, Austin you should have heard the way he was screaming over the phone!” I said. Austin looked at Alex. “Vic must have already took Kellin somewhere, when Kellin tried to call us,” Alex said. Austin stepped on the gas making the car speed up. I was getting worried about Kellin, but at the same time why didn’t Kellin tell me about this? Why didn’t he tell me he was in danger?
We finally made it the apartment, we all got out the car quickly and went up the flight of stairs to the apartment. Alex knocked on the door, the door opened showing a guy about Alex height, he has black hair and white on the side of his hair.
“Alex!” He said as he hugged Alex. Alex hugged him back and kissed him, must be his boyfriend. “Austin?” Another young lad come out with a huge belly. “Hey,” he said as he hugged him.
“Alan this is Oliver. Oliver this is my boyfriend Alan,” Austin said as I shook his hand. “And this is Alex boyfriend, Jack,” he also introducing me to Jack. “Look I don’t mean to be rude, but can we come up with a plan please,” I told them all. They all nodded as we entered the apartment. It was a little small and nice inside. We went into the kitchen and started to talk.
“Alright so there is a slight chance he may have taken Kellin somewhere else…” Austin said.
“What about the house?” Alex asked.
“I went and nothing, it was empty and there car wasn’t there,” Austin said.
“Let’s check again,” I said as I was ready to get out the door. “Oliver wait,” Alex said as he stopped me. They are all slow and we all needed to save Kellin. “We have to figure this out first,”
“Figure it out?! Don’t you get it? Your best friend is in danger and all we are going to do is stand here, talk, and waste time?” I said as everyone face fell. Austin sighed as he grabbed his keys. “Where are you going?” Alex asked. Austin turned to Alex, “he makes a point we can’t be wasting time. Will be right back. Take care of Alan for me. Let’s go.” Austin said as we both got out the apartment and into the car. Austin drove quickly as he stepped on the gas. I was thinking in my head about Kellin, how he was doing and I was worried sick about him, it’s all my fault…..
“Relax” Austin said as he could see my frustration. “We are going to find him and bring him back home,” I just nodded as I looked out the window.
“What is he like?” I whispered.
“What?”
“Kellin ex. What is he like? How is he abusive?”
Austin sighed as he still looked at the road. “Vic became very obsessed with Kellin since day one, he only wanted Kellin all to himself. And no could have him. Everything that Kellin does he is always right there. Any person Kellin talks to, he will become very upset and make Kellin stay in the house for weeks. Also if Kellin runs away or try’s to run away from him he…” he paused there as I saw how he gripped the steering wheel when we came to a stop.
“What does he do to him?” I asked. Austin turned and looked at me.
“He will hit Kellin really bad or even worse…rape him….” he whispered the last part. The light turned green and Austin started to drive. I was somewhat shocked. Kellin is living in fear right now and we all have no idea where he is. I got worried and scared at the same time as I was breathing hard.
“We are here” Austin said as he parked in front of a house. This house looked nice and it was in a nice neighborhood.
We both got out the car and checked through the windows. “There is no one here.” Austin said. I nodded no, “some has to be here,” I said as I was looking for the spare key under the matte or anywhere in the pots.
“Oliver let’s go there is no key he doesn’t leave a sp-” I cut Austin off as I grabbed the pot and threw it through the glass door making it shatter. Austin was surprised at my action, but he quickly put his hand through the door and unlocked it.
We entered the house. It was empty and cold. “All check upstairs, you check down here…” I said to Austin as I went upstairs. I saw a hallway full of doors, I walked slowly into the hall knowing if anyone was gonna came out and attack me, I walked as I stood in front of the first door I see. I opened it slowly and put my head through.
It was a little dark inside, but I could see. There was a lamp, I walked inside the room and switched it on. When it turn on, I saw a desk, books, boxes all over the place. Must have been like a study room? It was dusty inside meaning no one was ever in here, I walked around until I saw something that caught my eye… it was handcuffs and they were on the floor with dry blood…. “oh my god…” I said to myself. It can’t be that they held Kellin hostage here in this room?
I put them down, as I looked around the room for anything. I looked and looked, but nothing…I sighed as I decided to go to a new room. When I was about to leave. I saw something under the desk. It looked like paper sticked under the table with tape. I pulled the paper down and when I did, a notebook fell.
I picked it up and read the first page it was opened to.

Vic and I started to date which is kind of comforting since the whole car crash. I just don’t feel right, when Vic said he had loved me for a very long time I was in shock…but at the same time I didn’t feel any love for him.
I flipped through the pages and went to the very first page of the notebook.

A new kid came to our school today and he very sweet, kind and funny. I kind of like him now, but I wanna get to know him more. What is really cool about him is that I have him almost in every class….yep I’m in love.
I turned to the next page.

Today was very, very weird in my case, I told everyone that I have a huge crush on Matty. Vic got up from the lunch table and left leaving us all wondering why he left once I told everyone? Matty has been really sweet even would make me blush every time….
I turned to the very last page of the notebook.

I know the truth now. I know everything and I don’t even know. I was blind. It-
“Oliver!” Austin yelled my name making me stop reading and putting the notebook down. I ran down stairs and into the kitchen seeing Austin starring at something. “What is it?” I asked as Austin looked at the floor. I looked as well, to see a passed out Mike on the floor.
“Is he?…” I asked Austin. Austin nodded. “I don’t know…” I walked to Mike slowly and bend down, I checked his pulse. I sighed in relief. “He’s alive,” Austin sighed in relief as he bent down to Mike as well.
“Mike?” He shook him and tried to wake him up. We heard Mike groan, and he stared to open his eyes slowly….
“Austin?” He said. Austin nodded. Mike tried to get up, we helped him up and sat him in a chair. He held on to his head. I ran to the sink and looked for a towel. I found one and wet it in cold water and pressed it to Mikes head. He groaned in pain.
“What happened?” I asked.
“I tried to help K-Kellin escape, but Vic caught us…he punched me making me faint and took Kellin…” he said as he held onto the towel.
“Where are they?” Austin asked. “They were going to a cabin, but they went somewhere else due to the fact I let Adrian escape,”
Adrian? “Wait Adrian?” I said. Mike nodded. “Adrian. The one you met at your meet and great. Vic took his as a prisoner and told Kellin, if he escaped or something? He would kill Adrian and you….” he said.
“Do you know where they may have gone to?” Austin asked him. Mike nodded no. “Are you telling us the truth?” Austin asked. “Yes I’m telling you the truth. And plus I have a bruised up face and head,” Mike said.
“Let’s go back to the apartment. Let’s go.” I said as me and Austin helped him out the chair and into the car. “Where could they have taken Kellin?” I said to myself. “We could ask Ash,” Austin said as we drive away. “Ash?” I said.
“Ashely. She is Kellin friend and also Vic prisoner. She may know where she is,” he said. Please Kellin hold on will be there soon…

I heard beeping noises and felt my back was laying against a soft cushion. I opened my eyes slowly as I was hit with a bright light. “What the hell…” I groaned as I tried to get up, but I was strapped against where I was laying down. I look to see I was in a room, I had an IV attacked to my arm and a heart monitor to check the baby’s heartbeat. I touched my belly. “We both alive…for now,” I said as I rubbed my belly.
I looked around the room, it wasn’t a hospital room, it was like a room, but in a home. As I got up, I just realized I could take off the straps myself. I took them off and took off the wires around my belly, as I did the door opened I stopped what I was doing and looked to see it was Vic.
“Oh thank god you woke up,” he smiled as he walked to me.
“Where are we?” I asked him. Vic smiled. “You don’t know where you are?…what kind of child doesn’t remember there childhood home?”
I looked around and realized we where in my family home, where my parents raised me. “How did you get all this stuff?” I asked.
“I know a guy and he is a doctor. He said you needed a lot of nutrition and bed resting. So where gonna be feeding you and you will eat.” He said in a serious tone.
I look down at my belly. Sorry I let you down. I said in my head.
“You know Kellin…I don’t like your behavior at all. The escaping, the lies…I decided to change some things…bring her in.” Vic said as he looked at the door. “I promised you and Mike I wouldn’t do anything to her, but I decided the plans are going to change…” I was confused at what he was saying…Tony entered the room pulling someone in the room. They were bruised up very bad, tied up, even had tape on there mouth. I gasped.
