Dear Katie,
I don’t wanna lie to you. Sometimes I lose hope. Sometimes there’s a voice inside my head: a thought. Worming its way through my brain and staying in the dark corners of it.
It’s saying that I should give up, that there is a very very low chance of me finding you again. And it hurts me, it pains me so deeply that I would even let the thought flutter in me.
But then I look at Luca, And I see the way he holds his hands tight while walking, as if keeping a clutch of hope there. I see the way his eyes never lose their spark, the determination it has. I see Luca, and hope starts bubbling through me again.
