STARLING CITY METRO, STATION D
Black Canary
“What happened to this place?” I ask as the entire Team Arrow walks together through the debris of an unkept and abandoned metro station. The entire metro has been abandoned, and shut off for years. I look around the metro as the ceiling looks to be collapsed, pillars cracked, and train carts covered in graffiti and art of The Green Arrow. Ollie looks at the graffiti and realizes his significance and impact on Star City and it makes him proud. I keep my eye on him always watching every step he takes, as wearing the hood might trigger PTSD and cause him to revert back to the Ghost Archer. Martian warned me about this, but Ollie was the one who was willing to go out with me and didn’t give me an option to say no.
“In 2013, when I first started as The Hood, Merlyn used a Markov Device that could mimic natural disasters on the city. He caused an Earthquake all over The Glades and it affected parts of Star City.” Ollie begins to explain the story and I begin to remember the event. I didn’t think it would’ve affected this far into the city. “A lot of people died that night.” He refers to the 503 casualties and it breaks my heart.
I remember, because Tommy Merlyn had died in that event. I remember how it broke my sister’s heart and changed her entire view on life.
We continue to walk through the tunnels until I see Silver Siren in his red suit playing on a game on his phone while leaning against a pillar. We stand back and Silver hears Rene make a slight loud step moving a rock with his boot.
“Don’t be shy.” Silver speaks up and I walk out first out of the darkness as Silver puts his phone away. The team follows me from behind and I stand with Silver as Ollie pulls out a small arrow in his hand ready to attack. Silver looks at Ollie’s little arrow and smirks. “Still don’t trust me huh? How can we change that?” Silver asks and I look over at Ollie wanting him to put it away as Silver won’t hurt us. He can’t get what he wants if I’m dead.
“Start by taking us to Deathstroke.” Ollie says calling Joe by his father’s name and it makes me uncomfortable. Silver nods and begins walking through the tunnels and we follow him. I walk with Silver side by side as the team stands by a couple of feet away, still scared of him.
“From here on out, Joe’s men control the tunnels and they’re not your average brawlers.” Silver says stating the obvious as he begins to sound passionate about helping me. He’s doing the right thing, even if he thinks he isn’t.
“Yeah well neither are we.” I respond back gathering my team as we walk down the steps of a tunnel and enter into an area filled with armed hostile mercenaries. We ambush the mercenaries and Silver helps distract them, as all of Team Arrow take down the armed guards. Ollie takes them down silently with his arrows, and I sneak behind them choking each one out.
“This way.” Silver whispers and we all follow him as he stands by a doorway heading into the water treatment section of Star City. As we all walk in Silver waits by the doorway making sure everyone is in and suddenly the gate to the doorway shuts trapping us in. I quickly turn around to see Silver behind the door clenching his jaw disappointed in himself and I look at him confused.
“What the hell?!” I shout getting angry starring directly at Silver as I walk up to the gate to see him. He stands by the gate being serious and starring directly back at me calmly.
“I had to find a way to stop him from going to kill me.” Silver confesses as he’s only worried about himself and no one else. I should’ve known better, but apart of me wanted to believe he was good.
“You’re making a serious mistake.” I threaten Silver and he backs away from the gate fearing me.
“Not as serious as yours.” I hear an Australian accent echo through the sewer and I turn around to see Deathstroke walk out with armed mercenary men aiming their guns at us. All of Team Arrow raises their hand in the air giving up as we’re outnumbered and I don’t bother. I could use my canary cry and escape, but if I do, there’s a chance that the entire tunnel will collapse on us.
Deathstroke’s men take all of Team Arrow away, except me and I watch them pull Ollie away from me. They put them on the side like an audience and I notice that Joe has nothing armed on him, not even the blade that Slade uses. No guns either, nothing besides the armor and mask.
“Joe.” I growl lowly and he takes the orange and black mask off throwing it to the ground starring right at me.
“I’m here to fulfill Ra’s destiny.” He says and I clench my fist as I’m ready to take him down. I run towards him and kick him in the rib, throw a jab to his face and hook to the jaw but he doesn’t budge. He’s unharmed by me and I throw another jab but catches it, holding my fist tight attempting to crush my hands. I groan in pain and he head butts me in the face and kicks me down to the ground.
Joe walks towards me to step on me and I quickly roll over getting back up and jump on his shoulders and elbow his head. He throws me off the platform and I fall on the ground hurting my back but I suck up the pain and keep moving. Joe jumps off the platform landing near me and we continue to brawl.
I continue to throw kicks and punches to his face and everyone watches the battle. Joe counters the attacks and does not budge one bit. “What a waste of a pretty face.” Joe mocks me and throws a hard punch into my gut, grabs onto my shoulders and throws me against a pillar. His strength is inhuman and it makes me believe he’s on mirakuru like his father was.
I get back up having an urge to scream at him but I prevent myself due to the structure of the tunnels once again. “Drake!” Ollie shouts worried about me as I lay on the floor by the water rushing near me. I get back up spitting blood out of my mouth and look around to see all of Joe’s men, Silver Siren, and Team Arrow looking down at me as if me and Joe were in a colosseum battle.
“Is that all you got?” I mock Joe as he wants a show, and I’ll give him that. I put my fist back up, wiping blood from my face and stare directly at Joe as he won’t give up till I’m dead. “C’mon. Live up to your name Deathstroke.” I call him by what he wants to be called and he gets angry, triggered by me.
Joe walks towards me fast and throws as much punches at me as he can and I take it as I can’t block myself. He kicks me down back to the ground and I feel defeated. Joe grabs on to my vest pulling me up, and putting me on my knees as he takes out a gun. “I’ll show you the same mercy you showed Ra’s Al Ghul.” He speaks up and he’s avenging him. Part of me knows that I deserve this and the other part of me will fight.
I look up at Joe’s gun and look directly at the gun hole and press my forehead against the gun as I have a plan. I hear the water rush near me and I gather up enough energy in myself to do something completely stupid. “DRAKE!”Ollie screams again worried about me and I let him worry about me.
“Star City is going to be mine.” Joe says threatening my home and I’m getting sick and tired of this cliche. Does no one understand by now? No one can have my damn city!
I quickly grab on to Joe’s gun, pushing it away from me and aim it towards his leg. I force his finger on the trigger and he shoots himself in the leg which distracts him from me. I quickly throw myself into the water stream as it’ll rush me into the river.

Green Arrow / Oliver Queen
I watch Drake throw himself into the water stream and I get nervous. I don’t say anything holding it back and Joe Wilson shoots at the water trying to get a shot at Drake but misses horribly. He’s nothing like his own father, and he’ll never be anything like him. Joe shouts in anger being frustrated and I watch Silver Siren still watching and looks out towards me. We both give each other eye contact and all I can think of right now is hurting him for betraying us.
Silver Siren walks away and disappears and Joe Wilson walks towards me, Diggle and Rene. “Throw them in the cells. Make sure there’s nothing on them.” Joe says disgusted with us and his mercenaries follow his commands.
“Oliver is everything okay? I just lost Drake’s tracker! What’s going on?!” I hear Felicity through our comms as she’s safe in the bunker, and Joe takes the comms out of my ears and puts it in his.
“It’s alright Felicity, we’re just catching up.” Joe says and crushes it in his hands, and throwing the crushed technology into the floor. We get thrown into the cell without our weapons and cages us like animals. I look up from the cell to see a small tv with the local news playing, and three beds.
“This was your plan?” I say out loud to him and he chuckles as he looks at us through the cage.
“Mr.Queen. I will terrorize the city you love so much. I am going to isolate all of Star City and cage the people here like animals. I will starve them, deprive them and give your people false hope these next 5 months. I will show the true colors of your terrible city and when it’s all over, I will level it out with the Q-core you’ve provided us, and remake Star City for what it should be.” Joe says exposing his plan out to me and I get frightened as Joe has an entire underground army with no one to stop him now. Drake can’t do it alone neither, there’s only so much his canary cry can do.
“You won’t get away with this Joe.” I threaten him as Argus or someone will stop him. He thinks his plan is solid, but it fears me that his plan is very thought out.
“I already did.” Joe says and then walks away, leaving us behind to rot in the cage. “Prepare the bridges and ports.” Joe commands his men and I watch them work, taking out cases of bombs and he’s going to detonate the bridges that enter Star City. Star City is a giant island, barely any actual land connects to Seattle and we all rely heavily on imports. With no bridges and no ports, Star City is going to starve.
“What about Drake?” I ask him as he stands watching his men from a far. He turns around and chuckles at me.
“He’d be stupid to come back to this city.” Joe says and then exits with his men out of the tunnels.
