Y/n POV
After the whole crazy mom situation pt. 2, Illumi and I returned to our normal, busy lives. All my time was spent on training and taking jobs all while taking care of my daughter. Illumi went on countless jobs, returning late at night when I had already fallen asleep from utter exhaustion.
I was able to catch a break this weekend, having already sent D/n off to bed for the night. Finally I had some time to myself. Before walking into the bathroom, I decide to grab all my favorite candles, bath salts, and all that other fancy stuff.

I set everything up as the bathtub filled, setting some relaxing music in the background.
Today is self love day >:))
I lowered myself into the warm bathwater, sinking shoulders deep while letting out a sigh. I let all the tension leave my body, feeling content. I haven’t felt this relaxed in a while.
I heard a faint noise of the bedroom door opening but heard no footsteps. Illumi must be home.
“Where are you, my love?” I heard him from outside the door.
Before I could respond, he opened it and spotted me.
“Welcome home Illu,” I greeted, turning to rest my arms on the edge of the tub.
“Care to join me? It’s been a while since we’ve had time to ourselves.”
He blinked a couple times before responding. “Sure, I don’t see why not.”
I waited with a small, content smile on my face as Illumi undressed himself. The assasin got in the tub opposite of me.
“It’s been forever since I’ve felt so relaxed,” I commented while I grabbed his hand. He only hummed as I continued to play with his fingers. A breif moment of silence passed before I break it again, leaning in to wrap my arms around the man’s torso.
“Why are you so tense? It’s only me,” I say leaning on his chest, my finger drawing figure eights on his back. I felt his body relax, he had let some of his guard down.
“By nature I am to be prepared for anything at all times.”
I sigh, not moving from our embrace. We stayed silent, enjoying the peaceful moment as my head rests on his shoulder.
If only every day could be this normal
“Hey, Illu?”
“Hm?”
“Can I wash your hair?”
“Alright.”
The man turned around and I delicately ran my fingers through his silky hair. It’s amazing how healthy it is. As I was washing his hair, Illumi let out a small sigh.
As I finished up, another question had surfaced.
“We still have plenty of time into the night, what should we do?”
“I have a couple things in mind…” Illumi trails off, getting out of the tub and drying off.
I wonder what that means
