A few months had passed, along with the York New auction. Illumi has surprisingly been spending a lot of time with D/n when he wasn’t out on missions.
Damn, it’s almost as if they both like each other more than me.
After staying at the Zoldyck estate for a while, I decided I would become a bounty hunter rather than an assasin. I had been offered a few well paying missions, taking them on as to make my own money. I was watching D/n play outside when I received a phone call.

And with that, Chrollo hung up. I sighed before standing up from the grass.
I still need to beat this mf up for losing my kid…
I called a butler outside before walking into the manor to find Illumi. I saw him sitting in the bedroom polishing his pins.
“Hey Illumi, I’m going out for another job, if I come back and hear something bad happened to D/n I’ll turn you into my new kitchen mop ok thanks and goodbye.”
Without even giving him a chance to respond, I set out to the location Chrollo sent me. Exorcist hunting here I come…
Illumi POV
Y/n was out the door before I could even say anything. Every time Y/n would go on a job, I would assign D/n to do some light training, without her knowing of course.
Once I was sure Y/n was completely gone, I went to fetch our daughter. Despite being very young, she was a fast learner. She has already gotten down the shadow step and can manipulate her hands into claws.
I walked into the garden, dismissing the butler and picking up D/n.
“Come on, you know what time it is.”
“Noooo, but daddy I don’t wanna train!! It’s so boring I don’t like it!”
I only ignored her, bringing her into the training room. I sat her down in front of a small table as she pouted with crossed arms.
“Here, drink it,” I said, setting a cup of poisoned tea onto the table.
D/n looked away in protest, “No!”
“D/n. Drink it.” I stated firmly.
“Mommy wouldn’t treat me like this.”
“That’s because your mother babies you, now drink.”
“I’m a toddler, she can baby me all she wants,” D/n puffed her cheeks.
“Last time I checked you were a ‘big girl’.”
“Leave me alone you poohead I’m not going to drink it!” D/n exclaims, slamming her hands on the table.
Having it with her attitude, I popped her on the mouth before picking up the cup. Her eyes started to water as her lips quivered.
“So are you going to drink it or no?”
“Fine,” she sniffed. “I’ll drink it.”
Y/n POV
After I met with Chrollo, we set out in search of an exorcist.
“So Y/n, what have you and D/n been up to?” Chrollo questioned.
“Oh that reminds me,” I said, giving him a solid punch to the side. He groaned, holding it.
“That’s for losing D/n. Anyway, we’ve been staying with Illumi…”
Chrollo raised a brow at me. “Don’t you hate his mom?”
“Yeah but I guess I can deal with it for now…”
As I was speaking I felt a shiver go down my spine.
Idk what’s going on back at home but I feel like something happened to D/n…
